Dr Cantrell and the team here are amazing. Their staff care about animals and do their best to make an often scary experience as painless as possible. Not all of their services are cheap but they are up-front in their pricing and will give you options to fit your budget. I feel comfortable bringing my animals here and you should too.

After taking our dog for annual check-up and heart worm testing we asked if petvax could match the heartworm medicines of other online companies for heart worm meds. No, they could not. But we were told we could use the prescription written by the vet who examined our dog - no problem & said it was easy process. PetVax did everything possible to hinder this process. They are liars & we will never trust the care of our pet to these dishonest unprofessionals!

The staff is knowledgeable, professional and friendly to me and my dog. Answered all of my questions, and there wasn't a long wait.

They only care about getting your $$. They don't allow pet owners in with their pets. I was told my dog had heart worms and the treatment was quoted at $200-$250. I left my dog there for treatment, they called me 30 minutes later saying they may have to euthanize my dog, I said " don't do anything else". When I picked my dog up I was charged $600+ I'm not sure what they did to my dog but she has been energetic since, I took my dog to another vet and she test negative for any type of worms. If you care for you pet I wouldn't recommend taking it here. Lastly they have caller ID and will not answer from certain callers. I will never take another pet there.

I went to Petvax Germantown, first, for an estimate to remove a small tumor thought to be a fatty tumor by my regular vet. They gave me an estimateof $1200 or $1800 depemding how hatd and how long ot took to remove. They said they would not know which price until they did the surgery. Then they tried to pressure me into committing by telling me if I scheduled the surgery that day there would not be a charge for the estimate. I paid the offoxe visit charge and took my dog to my regular vet, where they gave me a $400 estimate. I scheduled the surgey amd it was successfully done for $400. I can understand a slight difference in price butva $800 tp $1400 dollar difference is rediculous and Petvax will never see me or any of my dogs ever again. I gave them one star but would like to have hiven them minus four stars if possible. I highly reccomend you get another estinate before you choose PetXax for anything.

PetVax recently took GREAT care of my sweet kitty cat! Their staff was friendly, caring and patient!

I placed an order thru petmed for my dog. They refused to approve because his heartguard is not up until 2 weeks from now. I would like to know why since I have been a long time customer . I won't be going back anymore.

They treated me and my cat like family even as my cat which is family to at its worst moment. I had to help my family member go peacefully and they were very comforting and compassionate to us both and even give us both some last time together and allowed me to be there in my family member last moments. If I ever get a new furry addition to the family I will definitely bring them here for all there medical needs.

You make way too many appointments for the same time and I realize staffing is an issue right now but we sat in our car for over 30 minutes and only 1 dog came out and none went in. The staff is great once we are called but the wait time outside is unacceptable.

I cannot say enough good things about this entire office. The vet techs are incredibly kind and gentle with our high-anxiety dog, and they're always happy to be flexible and do everything they can to make it less stressful for her. Dr. Cantrell is extremely professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, and always available to discuss issues in detail, even over the phone. On top of that, their office is always spotless, and the wait times are never long. We'll never go anywhere else. By far the best vet clinic we've ever used.

We LOVE Petvax! We have been to a few different vets over the years but we keep coming back here. Our girl needed a checkup and had started limping and they took such good care of her. Their covid regulations are amazing and made it so easy to get her checked in and taken care of! She literally left our house limping and came home walking normally!!

I am a long-time customer of PetVax and have always had good experiences with them. The employees are very friendly and have excellent customer service skills. I board my dogs with them when I travel and always feel confident that they will be well taken care of while I am away.

The ladies at Petvax were extremely gentle with my drama-boy Niko..who dropped and played dead when they broke out the stethoscope! Wonderful staff!

Friendly employees and prompt service

Let me begin by saying I went out of desperation because my dog needed his bordetella vaccination. When I arrived and they asked me what his medication was I told them he's on separation anxiety and trazodone for pet visits they came out with a muzzle. While I am currently muzzle training him I have been doing it with a particular muzzle and was not told ahead of time despite the fact that they knew about the medication at the time of appointment. My appointment was at 10:00 however it wasn't until I called at 10:32 and asked if they forgot about us that they were conveniently ready to take us back. That was very frustrating and they acted as though I didn't have any other errands and that it was okay to have my dog wait that long knowing he was a nervous Nelly. I had made a call as soon as they took him back and had to end the call early, the call lasted 3 minutes, when they returned him back outside. How could they have done a comprehensive exam in less than 3 minutes and charge me $60? Having just moved here and the need for the bordetella vaccination was immediate, I regrettably paid (for the service). Additionally, my dog had a abrasion on his nose in which they indicated that he scratched it and they prescribed him antibiotics($80) and anti-inflammatory ($22) because they indicated it was infected. When I heard the amount of the medication, I was going to take it to Costco however, for convenience and the fact that the appointment was now running 45 minutes in duration, I would just pay the $100 for the medication there. Again, he needed this vaccination that day (Tuesday) however later that week (Friday) he had an appointment for a dental exam and nail trim where my regular vet confirmed it was unnecessary for him to be on antibiotics and anti-inflammatory. Dr Kelsey said I could stop the medication immediately so needless to say I would never encourage anyone to go for over medicating a dog and having to pay an expense that was unnecessary. I moved here less than a month ago from across the country and can't afford to be mindlessly spending on things that are not necessary. It's not a choice to give zero stars but I do want to point out that the women who answer the phone are very nice and very courteous with the exception of the checkout person. I am willing to pay anything for my dog but not if it is unnecessary.
