I called for them to take in some strays dog they didn't help at all

Thank you Memphis Animal services!!! I came here to adopt a companion & could not be any happier I chose this shelter. The environment was very welcoming, & the staff was great. They genuinely care for the angels there, they take away all worries/stress of getting a new pet (spay, shots , microchip etc.) making the process as easy as possible & it's great just being able to spend time bonding with your new fur baby. Even assisted us in introducing introducing our new dog Nyx, with our girl Athena. Thank you guys for everything, My sweet Nyx ( Monah was her name in the shelter, black & white fur) is as happy as she can be, & adjusting perfectly. We've absolutely fallen inlove with her.

We adopted a sweet kitty that had been surrendered 15 mins prior! Staff was extraordinary! So kind, friendly and helpful!

Wonderful services provided here and I have enjoyed fostering from MAS when my schedule allows; I adopted my best friend from here and always recommend them to others when looking for a pet!

My girlfriend just saved a dog on the side of the road, Monday. 2 days later we felt guilty and wanted to come get her back. My girlfriend now has to fill out an application, for a dog that the shelter wasn't going to take in the first place.

This was a great outing for me and my daughter. We got a chance to experience every emotion possible there. It was uncanny how most of the dogs were some kind pit mix. It was also very sad to see how many dogs that were marked URGENT. Those are the dogs who are there on borrowed time and were scheduled to be euthanized; simply because the shelter does have the room to shelter them.

Very dirty, and most of the staff is either indifferent or rude altogether. I came into contact with only three people who didn't treat me as if they hated me or as if I was an inconvenience.

I've never been to an animal shelter. The staff was awesome! Very kind and truly care for animals. My daughter adopted a dog. The experience was very heart warming to see so many animals find loving homes.

I have rescued 6 dogs in my lifetime at MAS, but will never do it again. When the shelter opened today, I called to inquire about a certain pup. I was told that she was a stray hold, but that I could pre-adopt her. I asked if I came to the shelter would I first be able to look at her. I was told yes. So I took off from work and went on over. When I got there, I was told at the front desk that she had already been adopted and that her sister had also been adopted. However, they told me that the male was still there. I asked if I could take a look at him and was told yes. They asked me to sit in the lobby and that someone would take me back to see him. So I waited. Eventually someone came to the front and escorted me to the back area. We eventually got to one room and she told me that I couldn't go in. When she reappeared she handed me a piece of paper with a picture of the dog on it (the same picture that I had already seen on the internet). She told me that I couldn't look at him. Seriously?!? I can understand if they are a stray hold that they can't be taken out and played with, but to not even be able to look at him through the cage? I told her that when I called earlier I was told that I could look at these particular dogs and that the employees at the front desk had told me that I could look at him. So she took me to the administrative offices. I waited out in the hallway while she went inside to talk to someone. Another employee came out and told me that the dog was in a room that was off limits and that I couldn't look at him - that I could only pre-adopt him. Well, that's not ever going to happen. A complete waste of my time. I hate that this is the only shelter the City has. I really had hoped that it had gotten better over the years, but I guess I was wrong.

I'm Fostering ROSE #7572 she is great, has gained weight, House trained & Crate trained! Needs a 1 pet Family, she is laid back, loves to ride in the car & she helps with dishes!!!! Also, Everyone at MAS is Polite & helpful Even tho it's Obvious they have their hands full!!!

Came to pick up food and supplies for fur babies. Everyone was very polite there wasn't a long wait at all. I'm very pleased with my visit.

Shelter dogs have a bad rap when in reality, I swear they will be the most loyal, loving best friend you've ever had! I've adopted 2 now. 1 9yrs ago and a 5m pitbull pup in Aug 2021. Yall... my mom has COMPLETELY changed her views on PB... I find Delilah cuddling in my mom's bed half the time- a sight I never thought possible. Let your heart guide you to the right dog and you won't be disappointed. These innocent souls need us so much! By far best dogs we've EVER had, better than bred. Breeders must stop. MAS has more than enough incredible pups... I'd bring them all home if I could.

I adopted Gadriel now named Jack from here on September 26. He is by far the sweetest cat I've owned. The facilities were clean and the staff was really friendly. I am very satisfied with my visit.

I have been in communication with them for 3 months about surrender a dog. I have been turned down multiple times even with a appointment. They treat people poorly when surrendering a pet. The appointment QR Scan is not for appointments. When sending in request no one response. The staff tell you the set appointment and not put the appointment in the system. When ask to speak with supervisor request is denied. They staff Cortney Menzer did not do her job far as request for supervisor. She Stated pet will be Euthanized . DO NOT ADOPT FROM THEM.

FIRST OFF I WILL LIKE TO SAY THAT THE STAFF IN EVERYTHING WAS VERY NICE IN I LOVE THEM SO MUCH GREAT POSITIVE ATTITUDES IN EVERYTHING! BUT I RECENTLY PURCHASED A DOG YESTERDAY AND I WAS WONDERING WHEN WILL I BE ABLE TO GET HIM IM JUST SO HAPPY AND EXCITED
