Bowman Road Animal Clinic Little Rock, Arkansas

While in the care of this animal clinic, our 12.5 year old Bichon Frise went from a frisky, playful, happy girl to a crippled, blind, lethargic girl in only a couple of months. Despite having paid $2649.33 since August for "expert" care at this clinic for our 2 small dogs, the vet care received was inadequate. They ran many costly tests (which we agreed to when each was suggested), but the young vet did not develop a complete diagnosis following a couple months of testing. We kept in constant communication with this young vet, and she didn't follow through to a final diagnosis to determine why so many physical changes were occurring so quickly in our Bichon. Our dog's health continued to worsen as we did everything advised by this vet. Admitting to us on 12/31/21 that she was behind in completing her clinical notes, she missed diagnosing our dog with a very serious autoimmune disorder that quickly destroyed her eyesight and left her very frail as well. The blindness could have been prevented with timely diagnosis and treatment. This clinic did not offer any subsequent help or apologies. We sought emergency care elsewhere and received immediate diagnosis along with expert care during the next business day. Going to Bowman Road Animal Clinic was an extremely detrimental decision for our little Bichon Frise.

They have taken great care of our dog and always been flexible and professional with scheduling. Would give more than 5 stars if I could.

???? is a little wary of visits here, but the calming techs and sweet Vets always put her at ease. ???? is skeptical regardless ???? ???? is happy with the service & care, and thankful the costs are affordable!

Good clinic. They let you know the cost of the procedures before you agree to anything. Liked their realistic approach to treating our 16 yr old cat: make her comfortable by addressing the immediate problem with antibiotics, change her diet. Will go back with any future needs.

We love bowman road animal clinic. Dr. Craig is an amazing vet and takes care of our dogs as well as us. He makes sure to follow up after every appointment and we appreciate it that so much. Our dog has had so many allergies issues and he has helped her and helped us on how we should treat her. We had to go to a specialist to treat our dog ans it didn’t work and we came back to Dr. Craig because he is the only one that makes us feel better. They also answer to every question we have, and we are able to even send an email for a quick consultation and they reply so quick with an answer. We recommend this business to all of our friends who have pets.

Very professional on with your animals

Wow, how incredibly rude. Had to call three times because I was being hung up on. Finally got an answer and she was all ready to get an appointment set up until I told her we hadn’t been there before. Suddenly there were no openings for my dog who has been vomiting and had diarrhea for two days now. Thanks for nothing.

I first took my old English bully to them over two years ago because his normal vet was closed, after experiencing the level professionalism, and kindness they showed him I immediately changed him over to these guys even though it's a 2-hour drive for me as I do not live in the Little Rock area it is well worth it.

Everybody here is super nice, from receptionist to vet. The vet got down on the floor with our dog and trimmed her nails for us! They really listened to our concerns and came up with a plan with us. And it's so much cheaper than what I'm used to paying in Virginia and Arizona! Definitely recommend.

We LOVE this office. I have never had a dog actually happy to go to the vet, but my Olive is. She loves this crew and they obviously care about her. We drive from saline co. to see them and it’s absolutely worth it.

Always quick to help with any issue and very flexible and honest, in my opinion, throughout my nearly 2 yrs of loyalty to them. They always give follow up calls to check up on your pet a few days later, as well, which I always find very kind and compassionate. The Dr himself actually called once. Good luck finding personalized care like that elsewhere nowadays. You won't go wrong in choosing Bowman Rd Animal clinic, they live up to their high ratings

I am very disappointed to be writing this review. I had an appointment today for my very elderly and anxious cat. I came to the door, unaware they weren’t letting people in. As I was standing at the door reading the sign with my very upset cat in his carrier, a woman opened the door and spoke with me. I told her I was there for an appointment, and asked if they would be willing to let my cat in since he hates the kennel (he was drooling and vomiting). After some resistance they took him and informed me I would not be able to come in with him at all. This upset me, because I was not forewarned, and my cat is super anxious. I went back to my car to wait and a different lady came out with paperwork for him, which I began filling out. As I’m filling it out, she tells me that I should have known that would be the policy because nowhere is letting people in. Obviously, that’s not the case. Most places are open now, and I had a mask with me and everything. I told her I was just stressed because he is so old (almost 17), and has such anxiety. Furthermore, this was my first visit, so it’s not like we have a history of trust and rapport. And now he’s going to be poked and prodded by strangers all alone, and how I wish they had given me a heads up about the policy so I could have been prepared. She then flippantly says that if I have an issue with the policy I can take my cat elsewhere. I back pedaled, unsure how my stress had come across as rude, creating such a response. I told her I wasn’t trying to be rude, that I was just stressed, and that I didn’t want to take him elsewhere. He doesn’t travel well. The last thing I want to do is make him travel more. She tells me I AM being rude, and that she can go get my cat for me. At that point I gave up and asked her for my cat back. She brought him back out, hit his kennel on my door as she was putting him in the seat, and slammed the door behind her hard enough to shake my entire car. I spoke with the vet, who did apologize, but honestly, I’m so upset that I was treated this way, and that my poor cat now has to endure another trip to the vet to get his annual shots. The woman I dealt with was extremely hostile, and continued to escalate the situation every time I tried to deescalate things. She refused to understand that my stress did not equate to anger, even when I made an effort to assure her I was not trying to be rude. Had I been informed when I made the appointment, everything that happened could have been avoided.

My daughter had an appt to take the cat to the vet. She was not informed she was to have them come out and get the cat. Because she went to the door she was treated poorly. Long story short, she was told, "If you don't want your cat cared for here you can take him somewhere else." So she did. The most unprofessional front office staff. We have 3 animals and will NOT be taking them back there.

We have 7 kitties and take them all to see Dr. Craig & Dr. Lauren. They have always taken wonderful care of our animals, especially our tabby Xerxes who has some medical issues. He's prone to urinary blockages, which can be fatal to cats, and when we suspected he might be having another blockage they allowed us to bring him straight away, ran some tests, and gave us meds & a plan to help Xerxes get better. They even called later to follow up on his condition. Dr. Lauren is so wonderful and sweet, and very informative. She explained what was going on with Xerxes and what we could do to help prevent a blockage in the future. Their techs are wonderful too, I don't know some of the newer staff but the ones who have been there a while are always super great with our animals! I 100% recommend BRAC, they are wonderful and we've never had a bad experience with all the many visits we've had having as many animals as we do.

I called the same day I needed an appointment & the receptionist was extremely helpful and patient with me. We went in about 25 minutes early to our appointment & was still seen immediately. My pup was sick but they made him very comfortable. With a dog who was sick for over a week, it was the best first Experience we could’ve hoped for! Thank you to all the wonderful staff here at bowman rd animal clinic!!! Oh and they are very reasonably priced!!!
