My Kitty got sick not eating and throwing up. After calling 15 places all refusing to take her the person that answered the phone said let talked to vet after explaining what going on. came back told me bring her right away. They were very professional, kind and attentive to my Buttons. I ever so grateful that the Vet took time out to fit my kitty in. Buttons is doing great. Recommend them to everyone. My Buttons and I thank you .

They would rather let your dog get a severe infection than to help them. Holding back ear drops from a dog. Ear drops!! They just wait for the hematoma so they can do surgery. Dogs best interest is not first priority, money is

Charge way more than other vet's for medications. Make it difficult to fill medications anywhere but them. Do not care if animals run out of medications. Refused to fill allergy medication, when my dog has had ears swell closed from allergies. Because she was due for a check up. Despite the fact they could not get her in for over a week. They offered no solutions, just a sorry about your luck. Avoid Dr. White. Very rude and does not listen. Just jumps to conclusions without assessing the situation.

First let me say I trust Dr Adams. However, Dr White is dangerous. He saw my young cat after she suddenly stopped walking a few years ago (back legs appeared to be paralyzed). He said she had saddle thrombosis and would likely need to be put to sleep. I was devastated and took her home with me to do research and get a second opinion. The vet at Southern AZ Vet examined her for less than ten minutes and said she absolutely does not have saddle thrombosis and does not need to be put to sleep, but obviously something was wrong..she recommended Vet Specialty Center. The vet there put her on a steroid and recommended I keep her contained for a number of weeks. My girl recovered beautifully with just a bit of a gimp. This year I took my older cat to University when she seemed to be struggling to breathe. I always made my appts with Dr Adams but unfortunately Dr White was the only doctor on staff that day. He did an X-ray, labs, gave her a breathing treatment and sent her home with me along with an antibiotic. He said it could be pneumonia. Her condition did not improve. I called University for guidance, left two urgent messages at 8AM and noon..and never heard from the vet. I took her to VCA hospital..Again after a rather quick exam, the vet said she absolutely didn’t have pneumonia. She was in heart failure and critical condition. I was heart broken that I unknowingly delayed emergency care because I believed her labored breathing was a pneumonia symptom that I was treating with antibiotics. I made the decision to put her to sleep that night. Please never trust your fur babies with Dr White.

I have been very happy with University Pet Clinic. They are always able to get us in the same day without charging extra. Their prices are very reasonable and the staff are caring and friendly. I appreciate that you never try to upsell us on extra testing or treatments. * 2021* Unfortunately I have to revise this review. Just tried to schedule an appointment for my dog, who has an abscess on her foot from all of these weeds. I was told that because they haven't done a wellness check on her in about two years, the soonest they can get her in is not for over a week. They have very few appointments available for animals that are acutely sick. What is the point of going to a vet that can't see my dog when she is sick? University Pet Clinic is now pulling the same con that many other vet offices pull, requiring a yearly wellness check before they will see/treat your animal. I cannot bring her in when there is an obvious issue that needs to be treated. Presumably, this visit will include an additional fee for her "wellness check." If you're busy and understaffed, tell me that! Don't make me feel like the reason my dog can't be seen is because I've somehow been neglecting her health because she hasn't had her yearly wellness check. I guess I might as well head to the emergency vet and pay the $80 "emergency" fee. Too bad, I thought I had found a vet we were happy with.

We've taken our pets to University Pet since moving to Tucson in 1999. Dr Schorr was wonderful, and the cozy neighborhood location ideal. But we won't be going there anymore. We've given them the benefit of the doubt many times in the past five or six years, but although their care for the animals is OK, the care for their human companions is much less so---they appear to have no consideration for the human side of their business. They made me feel like they were doing me a favor to give me an appointment (a month away!); maybe because everyone there is now very young, the institutional memory is zero. Our having been clients there for more than 20 years means absolutely nothing to them---when I finally told them today that we were going to have to be taking our pets elsewhere, they literally did not bat an eye, did not express any concern at all! (and we are nice people :)

I have a dog with bad anxiety when he visits the vet. They are kind enough to come outside and get him out of the car which helps his anxiety alot. They are so sweet to him and he doesn't bark at everyone like he did at the first vet we took him to. They have been so great!

I’ve been with this place with three pets. They were so unsympathetic when they put my dog down… And now my other dog has a horrible rash and they can’t get him in for 2weeks. They say they are not an emergency center. I say your my Vet and you should try to care for your patients when in need. Not send them away. This is not the first time they have done this. Very sad Another vet was able to get me in right away!

Kind staff, clean facilities, and it seems like they care a lot about the pets that they treat. They are good about answering any questions I may have, and I generally have a lot. I've been taking my animals here for awhile now and I've had nothing but positive experiences. The only downside is that it can be a bit pricey at times but for the excellent service provided and for the health of my fur babies I really don't mind, plus the location is super convenient. I would recommend this pet clinic.

I’ve been using this clinic for all my pets for over a decade, maybe close to 15 years. It is a far cry from that original clinic. I had a four star review I did a couple of year ago, but they have plummeted in quality over the last year. With Covid things seemed to fall apart and it’s not getting better. Dr. White is amazing but I have no idea if my dog has ever seen him in the last year because I haven’t been in the building. He is the only reason I am giving a two star review. Calling in I am on hold for at least ten minutes regardless of the time of day. Don’t believe it when they say a “brief hold”. I would gladly switch clinics but it’s difficult to find a new vet during Covid times. This is incredibly disappointing and not the clinic Dr. Schorer created. It’s all about the money now and not the care.

Staff are always friendly and helpful. My dog and both cats love the veterinarian techs here, they've never been scared of them like at previous offices.

We've been going here for about 7 years. My pets and I adore the team. They've really gotten my fur babies through some tough emergencies and I would recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a caring, well trained team.
