Dr. Frost has been so wonderful to work with! After Trixee suffered from an anaphylaxis reaction, Dr. Hess and Dr. Frost have been working with us to figure this out! Cate has been so helpful also. Reception is great. I have always received kind, caring service here! Thank you! ????❣

My cat Mac was taken seen by Dr. Harbour. Staff was helpful, friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this Vet/Office for those that need a specialist for your animal's care.

Dermatology for animals and the folks in the Tucson location are absolutely the worst humans. My dog has a chronic/seasonal allergies. They would not renew his medication after stating they would. I went there to pick up medication on a Wednesday, they were closed. I called Thursday, they said he needed an appt. This after confirming they would get the medication and it would be ready the Friday prior. Now my dog has to suffer through their incompetence and unethical procedures. They need to see him, to tell me the same thing they do every time, guess this is how they make their money. Awful. Folks there lack empathy and reason. Sadly, they're the only game in town. I as a human, Ionly go to my doctor when I’m feeling ill. He does not reject prescribing meds even when labs aren’t current. In a time of covid, and all of the constraints, changes in protocol etc and considering the fact that the staff at your clinic confirmed they would have it last Friday, there was room for exception. I spent over an hour of my day sitting outside of your clinic while staff from other organizations tried to help. I was not the only one in the same boat sitting outside. Poor service. Poor care for animals. Bottom line. You will charge for labs, visit, etc to re-prescribe the same solution that has worked well for Wally in the past. It seems to me it’s either about money or protocol but certainly not about the patient.

I took my foster dog Jake here when he was pretty much at deaths doorstep. He had large sores all over his body. After some blood work, Dr. Lockwood diagnosed Jake with Paniculitis and started his treatment plan. The Dr. & staff were always friendly & helpful. Jake has been healed for several months now & doing great on his meds. I would recommend this office to anyone

This has been by far one of the best experiences i had with a vet recently. My regular vet sent me to them to see about getting a surgical wound to heal. Sadly they couldn't help with our problem but they didn't even charge us either! The vet tech was so nice and very helpful with suggesting a surgeon who could help! If I ever have a need for them I will return due to their kindness, generosity and professionalism.

Dermatology for animals has helped my best friend TREMENDOUSLY! She was diagnosed with Pemphigus in May 2018 and it’s now January 2019 and she is MILES away from what she was! They’ve been so patient and helpful helping my dog overcome her condition. I am so excited to see where she will go and hopefully for remission! She staff is so kind and they make our appointments very pleasant! 10/10 recommend!

My Misa passed away from lymphoma. The ladies at D4A were always super friendly and supporting in Misa's needs. They helped me the most out of all the places I tried taking my beautiful babe. This place truly cares for your furbaby and doesn't try to take all your money. I will always recommend this place.

I've been a CVT (certified veterinary technician) since 1994 and have been with Dermatology for Animals since 2014. This company and our Tucson location is fantastic. They treat their employees with compassion and respect. This is definitely carried through to patients and their pet parents. We deliver excellent care, quality, experience the utmost respect. We all care for each pet and their family with the highest standards, follow through and expertise. Not only are my own pets patients at the Tucson location of Dermatology for Animals but I'm very proud to be employed at such an amazing company.

I've been to many veterinary clinics over my 50 years but this clinic is by far the most stellar. From the first phone call to make the appointment, to the check in and meeting Dr. Newton. My expectations were exceeded and the follow through, from update calls to prescription refills, is excellent. The team is polite, helpful, knowledgeable and they all have a great sense of humor - yet they can be professional and serious when needed. As far as specialty clinics go, I'm really happy this is not in a crazy, busy emergency setting. My dogs are so happy to visit and they love walking around the quaint parking lot. Who knew veterinary dermatology was such a cool business? I learned so much at my first visit. I never knew ear problems were related to allergies. I didn't think the scratching could be microscopic mites carried by the wildlife in our area and I never knew dogs could be allergic to cats :) I would recommend Dermatology for Animals to anyone looking for help with that itchy scratchy dog, food allergies, seasonal allergies, ear problems and your cat that is licking hair until bald. WOW. If I were to go back to school again this would be a profession I'd consider. Thank you for the expertise and sharing it with me and my pets.

Heide and staff are awesome. They gave me hope we can fix our itchy dog! They were kind and I'm just a little annoyed that my vets didn't recommend them that I had to find them for my own on Google. If you have an ithchy make an appointment!

I've had dogs most of my 70 years of life. Seen many vets and been to many ERs with my various little guys and gals. Dr. Newton and her staff are professional, knowledgable and thorough. Yes, a specialty practice of any kind, human and animal, is more expensive than a general practitioner, but when you need true specifics about your fur kids, this is the place to go. From the receptionist to the techs, you'll get detailed and considerate treatment. Dr. Newton takes her time with your babies ~ I had a rescue dog, a big guy, who was terrified of everyone. Dr. Newton respected his boundaries and got down on the floor with him before examination and allowed him to feel safe and comfortable. My current doggies have allergies, esp the rescues, and they are treated with kindness and care. Highly recommend for your animals' quality of life!

THE CARE AND CONCERN FOR MY DOGS HAS BEEN OVERWHELMING AT DERMATOLOGY FOR ANIMALS IN TUCSON. DR. NEWTON AND HER STAFF GO ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY TO ENSURE THE WELLBEING OF MY DOGS. THEY ARE ALWAYS VERY HELPFUL AND DILIGENT IN MAKING SURE THEY ACCESS ALL OF THE RECORDS THAT PERTAIN TO MY DOGS AND COORDINATE CARE WITH ANY OTHER VETS ATTENDING TO MY DOGS. THEIR THOROUGHNESS AND TIME SPENT TO MAKE SURE ALL AVENUES AND OPTIONS ARE COVERED ARE OUTSTANDING. DR. NEWTON HAS A WEALTH OF INFORMATION ABOUT ALLERGIES IN DOGS. TEST RESULTS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED QUICKLY AND COMMUNICATED TO ME AND OTHER TREATING VETS IN AN EXTREMELY TIMELY MANNER. THE LOVE AND DEDICATION SHOWN IN CARING FOR MY PETS IS CLEARLY EVIDENT IN EVERYTHING THEY DO. I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH HOW HAPPY AND PLEASED I AM TO HAVE FOUND DR. NEWTON AND DERMATOLOGY FOR ANIMALS. EVERYONE ALWAYS GOES THE EXTRA MILE TO MAKE SURE THE MEDICAL NEEDS ARE MET AND TREATED. THEY STRIVE FOR EXCELLENCE. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR.NEWTON, HER STAFF, AND THIS FACILITY FOR ANIMALS SUFFERING FROM ALLERGIES.

Genuinely care about the well being of your pet. My dog was suffering and they were honest and straight forward with what needed to be done. Was not full of other dogs either so it made for a relaxing environment for both me and my dog. Thank you.

When the Veterinarian will sit on the floor with myself and the dog and give him time to get to know her, it means a great deal to me. Very gentle and caring. Gave me lots of information to bring home and absorb on his sun damage. Dr. Newton came highly recommended and lived up to the reputation. Thank You Dr. and Staff for making us feel comfortable.

Brutus is a 1 year old Chihuahua . I came to Dr. Newton in March right after I adopted Brutus he was in the worst shape and very little hope was available at that time. My first appointment was tear filled for me and Brutus. Dr. Newton was confident yet cautiously oppoptimistic. Four months later and very little stress to Brutus he is a new man and most importantly the awnrey little Chihuahua he was born to be. This was my first experience with a pet specialist and feel my time and money was considered and valued. I don't wish pet problems on anyone but it's nice to know you have somewhere to turn. Thanks Dr. Newton and staff!

We have had our Dalmatian Winston to see Dr. Newton several times over the past three years and have been consistently impressed with her kindness, compassion, competence and straightforward manner.

I would not recommend this location to ANYONE! We began our service at the Gilbert location and were very satisfied. After moving to Tucson, we began treatment with their facility here. At our dogs 6 month check up, we were quoted a price and then ended up paying nearly triple that price!!! The $200 recheck visit, did not include any of his labs!!! When I questioned why our bill was so much more than we were originally quoted, the tech said, "the $200 was for our doctor to put her hands on your dog". NEVER, were we told that each additional lab that the doctor requested was an additional cost. After we paid, got our refil, etc. we received a call saying that "all of your dogs labs came back looking great"! Now, it's time for a refill, and they are refusing to refill his medication because they want ANOTHER FOLLOW UP!!! We will be going to a vet who is not in it for the money. I am appalled that they are refusing to continue a medication that my dog has been on for over a year!!!!

We've been seeing Dr. Newton since she moved to Tucson. She's one of the few veterinarians who was patient getting to know our somewhat standoffish and protective dog. She and the techs are kind and explain all treatments and options thoroughly. Further, she appreciates our knowledge about our dog and always incorporates that in treatment decisions. Yes, the medications for our dog's allergies are expensive. And much like any other specialty practice, visits cost more than those at a general veterinary office. But if you're seeing a dermatologist for your pet's quality of life, it is worth it. Actually, it's beyond worth it for the kindness, knowledge and rapport of having Dr. Newton as our dog's dermatologist.

My pug/chihuahua mix has developed serious red, itchy spots all over his body this Spring and I've given benadryl and visited two different vets who could only provide temporary relief in the form of a cream (steroid type) and a …
