Have you ever wished to find help for your favorite pet? You would do ANYTHING to make your pet feel better. You would pay ANY amount of money to ease their suffering. You end up at the Camino Seco Pet Clinic and fully expect that they are competent and fully capable of treating your pet....for a price. Many of us have had the experience of being so in love with our pets that we over pay for their care. My dog had a bald spot on his back that was not responding to antivirals or antifungal ointments. I was FULLY prepared to be raked over the coals just to make my little guy feel better. I called the Clinic to make an appointment and was surprised when the doctor got on the phone and took a lengthy description of my dog's condition, history, and his normal everyday behavior. Because of Covid, I expected a week or two delay before bringing in my Buffalo. Imagine my surprise when he told me to bring him right over! The paperwork i signed advised me that most exams take 1 to 2 hours. After 4 hours, I became concerned and called for an update. Again, the doctor got on the phone and explained that Buffalo had a bad staph infection on his back and he would require antibiotics. He also said Buffalo would be able to go home in an hour or two. When he was released, Buffalo was happy, alert and ready to go. The 4-hour visit cost just under $150, with 2 prescriptions to be administerd by me for the next 2 weeks. A review of the final bill showed a charge of 17 cents for an initial dose of medicine. When was the last time you saw a charge of 17 CENTS from ANY doctor?!? Generally, if a doctor looks in the DIRECTION of the patient, its a $300 minimum charge. I cannot say enough about this Clinic, staff, and Doctor. They must love my pet as much as I do, to treat him for 4 hours for less than $150. Not to mention they stayed after closing hours so I could pick up Buffalo and avoid leaving him there overnight. WOW! Have i said enough? If your pet needs care, go to the Camino Seco Pet Clinic!

They saw my dog right away, everybody else was booked. Did a good job, and it was very affordable.

Excellent care and personal attention from Dr. Kiesel and his staff. My Bernese Mountain Dog loves his visits with his friends Dr. Kiesel and Mary! I have no suggestions on how it could be better.

I had my pitbull mix be boarded there for 5 days and undergo some procedures during his stay. First I must say I was very concerned with how my dog might be towards others, especially without me being there with him... all of that stress and worry was immediately gone upon the first employee I had met at the front door!! The woman who came to the door knew exactly how to introduce herself to both myself and my dog; which was a huge concern for me with knowing how my dog at home is like towards strangers! She was absolutely great and knew what she was doing from the second I got there. The Dr. has also been wonderful with answering any questions I've had since then, and is more than willing to give you the right information so you can avoid having to bring your pet in for something you can treat yourself from home. Also as a word of advice to anyone looking at bringing their pet here; if you have a hard time reaching them over the phone; try emailing the Dr. and he is great about responding to any email I've sent him. Thank you all at Camino Seco Pet Clinic, as you made me feel comforted and took away any stress I have had concerning my dogs health with the help and information you give!

We’ve been going her for our 13 year old chihuahua Daisy since they saved her life over a year ago. She needed an emergency surgery for pyrometra and they took her in on a Friday afternoon and saved her life we would’ve lost out little girl. At the emergency vet nearby it would’ve been an 8 hour wait in our car in July. Daisy and Mary are best friends now. Mary is always so kind and helpful and answers all questions, Dr Kiesel is very knowledgeable. We highly recommend Camino Seco Pet Clinic.

Called Monday morning 7/19 and spoke with a very nice receptionist that made an appointment for me and my dog that following Thursday. I believe my pup got kennel cough from her groomer, and the receptionist was very nice to set up an appointment so soon! BUT… I was informed I would be receiving an email soon with a form that needs to be filled out before the appointment to confirm my information that I never received. The day before my appointment I called the clinic to confirm my email to ensure I could receive the form and fill it out prior to the appointment. A man answered the phone, not giving his name but I was able to deduct it was likely the vet Dr.Ed, and while trying to explain that I haven’t received the email he interrupted me and said I would receive it later this evening. He DID NOT ask to confirm my email, he DID NOT ask for my information to look up dog, he DID NOT ask me when I set up my appointment. He did nothing to help me. He interrupted me and gave me a pointless answer that didn’t help or answer my question. I asked again, “I made this appointment two days ago, and I was told I’d be receiving the email shortly, so I just wanted to confirm.” He replied with attitude, “Well, we don’t send them out until the day of your appointment.” So he changed his story, first he said I was probably going to receive it “tonight”, and now I guess I’ll be seeing it “the day of the exam”. Immediately I knew this was not the type of vet I want to take my puppy to, so I started calling around to other vets in my area to make an appointment elsewhere. I also looked on google to check the reviews to see if this was a one time occurrence, but NOPE! Multiple reviews specifically name Dr.Ed for being unprofessional and rude. A previous review actually states that they had troubles and didn’t receive the email either, but Dr. Ed refused to work with them or check to see that the email was not received. Obviously this is a repeated issue for this vet, and I didn’t appreciate the attitude. I called back within 20 minutes after making a different appointment and canceled. Same man answered the phone, didn’t ask why I was canceling, but I’m glad I didn’t take my puppy here. My family will definitely not bring our other animals either. No one wants their best friend to be treated negatively and that was definitely the vibe I got from this vet. Office staff - very friendly, I probably would have kept the appointment if I worked with them again to resolve my issue. Now that I’ve seen what the vet is like, I don’t want that attitude around my puppy. Dr. Ed - should have just listened, been understanding, and tried to actually help instead.

I never actually made it to the vet. I called and attempted to make appointment and the lady asked why I needed one. I attempted to provided the info but she didn't let me get out much more than a sentence and sighed and put me in hold. I'm not sure why she's annoyed but she seemed very annoyed. I've been on hold over 50 minutes (at this point I'm just curious if she'll ever return.. I'm making lunch ????) and per her attitude combined with this I'm not comfortable taking my baby there. So this review is for the unprofessional person answering the phone. Really bad vibe ????????Do better

The Veterinarian and Staff member are excellent in their "patient" and owner care, communication and compassion during their interaction with everyone. Literally, Dr Kiesel comes down to the physical level of the patient for his interaction with his patients. Our particular patient is not very social, however, with the Veterinarian and Staff, our canine was relaxed (as best as possible at the doggy doctor) and interacted well, with no tense moments during his exam.

Went to drop off my pet today. Get some old guy yelling at me through the door.said I didn't fill out paperwork that they never emailed me. As I show him I didn't get an email. He shakes his head shrugs and walks off. I then proceed to call the clinic and asked for a doctor or someone else in charge. He said HE WAS THE DOCTOR. Didn't know the doctor answered phone calls. He refused to put someone else on the phone and proceeded to argue with me. I told him just cancel the appointment and I will never come here again. Now I have received a harassing email saying how he wasn't being rude and he was "sorry" here is your records. Trying to act like we were having the attitude. Don't go here unless you have no other choice.

Extremly rude ans condescending. I emailed asked for a quote for either OFA or PennHIPP certification and the response I received was "well penn hip will not certify the dog only ofa can do that.. and you must wait until they are 2 years old . penn hip is ok for your own satisfaction but will not certify the hips". One- I didn't ask that, I asked for a quote. Two- you are wrong. PennHIPP will certify.hips at.16 weeks. OFA prelims can be done at 1 year and final certification at 2.

DON'T DO IT! Go anywhere but here. I took my sick dog there since I couldn't get into my regular vet during COVID. Thought it might be better and less expensive than the emergency vet. I couldn't have been more wrong. The communication was lousy, everything was done via some over complicated online process. I never got good information, understandable results nor did I ever get a receipt of what my $500 went for. The emails they sent could have been written by a 5 year old. On top of that, they kept her on the meds for only four days. So, when she became lethargic again after she came off the meds, I took her to my regular vet. Turns out she needs to be on the meds for at least 6 months for her valley fever.

I took my 8 week old puppy here for a well check and shots, within 15 min they brought my puppy out without a receipt. I paid $90 for shots and a check up. The day after I left, I drove my puppy to the emergency clinic because he was lethargic and unable to breathe. Turns out he tested positive for parvo, and could not breathe off the ventilator. THE DAY PRIOR this clinic claimed to do a well check and didn’t see the sign?? Not reliable. Don’t take your animal here. I’m not sure how they have good reviews. My baby died a day after seeing them.

Dr. Kiesel has been my vet since 1999. He has taken care of my dog Trixie since the age of 7 weeks to the present 6 years old. He also treated my prior dog Sheba all of her 16 years. I have always felt that he did procedures that were necessary until I got pet insurance for Trixie and suddenly Trixie needed his teeth cleaned every six months and lots of blood work. I became very disappointed when he recently charged me a mandatory $5 fee before he would call in a refill (Trixie has epilepsy and is on Phenobarbital) and then took days to call in the refill. I have since moved Trixie to the VCA Animal Hospital at Golf Links and Harrison. I had Trixie's records transferred and my new vet pointed out many curiosities in the records that they couldn't explain. For example, a blood test that she had to send out for analysis (Phenobarbital level test). They had to wait 3 days for the results to come in; previous tests for the exact same thing at Camino Seco yielded results in a couple of hours but with no blood level reports in Trixie's chart. I am so glad I left Camino Seco Pet Clinic for VCA Animal Hospital where I beleive my dog is getting REAL care now! VCA also suggested Trixie might have had valley fever which could be the cause of his seizures/epilepsy. Turns out he did not have valley fever but I really appreciate the in-depth care of my beloved pet and the search for a possible cure. Lots of care and love at VCA!!

I don’t like the fact that they receive you at the door. They’re unprofessional. $68 for an exam is too much. They take forever. Please don’t bring your pet here. It’s sketchy as freak. The people are also rude.

Took my cat in feb because I was concerned about my cats rapid weight loss and excessive water drinking. They took almost 2hrs from drop off to pick up. They only check him over from the outside then did a glucose test to test for diabetes. They signed him off as healthy and didn’t offer any other tests. My gut said that was wrong. I took him to a different vet for a second opinion. This new vet was so informative and went over everything they can test for based on the same info I provided camino seco pet clinic. We chose to have a full blood panel done. Turns out my cat is in is the high stage of kidney failure. And we’re devastated to say the least. I’m disappointed that the camino seco didn’t even try to diagnose my cat. I feel robbed of the $68 I was charged for basically nothing.

Had my 120 lb dogs teeth cleaned and a tooth extraction done. This was our first visit and it’s a little awkward during COVID 19 , but the did a great job and wonderfully priced. Great value , great service and will bring my other 3 dogs there from now on.

Had called the place to bring my pet it and the person on the phone was very rude and couldn't seem to understand me even if spelt my name out phonetically. I chose to go with a different place sinyply because if this is how their appointment staff is I cannot imagine how mismanaged the actual clinic is.

I was at Camino Seco pet clinic just a short time ago, and the staff was great, especially the Vet, who believe it or not, actually started to give me help over the phone before I even tried to get an appointment, he's the best. Because of his care, I went all the way to the other side of town just to have him care for my cat. What else could I do, when someone in this day and age starts to help you without even caring about a charge, I knew he was the Vet for me, it's so rare to find someone like that.

Exceptionally happy with the care of my pets ( 5 dogs and cats) from Camino Seco Pet Clinic! I can honestly say I had never encountered a clinic that put such care, patience, and dedication to every pet. As a pet lover and rescuer, I have probably gone through half the clinics In Town, and since being fortunate enough to find this clinic, I have not looked back. All my pets go here now for anything from routine checkups/shots, spay, to complicated diagnosis. It is truly comforting to leave your pet in the hands of professionals that care and go above and beyond for their well-being! Absolutely would recommend this clinic, your pet could not be in better hands!

If the COVID-19 was over it would be easier to visit the vet. But they did a great job making it safe and easy for the pets and their owners when dropping your animal off for care. Prices and fees are very reasonable!

We are very happy so far with this Vet, they are kind and gentle with our Lil fur baby, knowledgeable as to treatment and timely with correspondence and fees for services needed. This is a follow up, Dr did knee surgery on my dog, he knew just what to do and now my Jake is as good as new, I would recommend him and his staff to all who need a Vet we could not be happier with the whole experience Thank You Dr Ed and Mary for fixing our Dog...

My 8 yr old lab shepherd was dragging her hind feet until they bled. I assumed she had dysplasia and was considering putting herdown. I was very sad because she was still active and happy. After X rays showed she had a pinched nerve and arthritis, she was medicated and is getting better every day. I look forward to getting back to morning walks with Bella thanks to Camino Seco Pet Clinic.
