I originally took my heeler to A Loyal Companion at the strong recommendation from a PACC volunteer. He has severe elbow arthritis at a young age. After doing everything possible for this dog, I looked to Kate as a last resort. I had always suspected he walked funny in the back, but after repeated visits with his vet, he was deemed fine. During his initial visit with Kate, she immediately picked up a serious issue with his back end and wouldn't suggest a program for him until he was seen by a vet. I refused to go back to his regular vet and scheduled at a specialist clinic. He had a ruptured disk in his back with severe damage to both sciatic nerves. He was scheduled for surgery in which am implant was inserted and has started his road to recovery. He feels SO much better and even his elbows are much less sore seeing as he can now shift his weight to his back comfortably. He is now going on his 3rd week of therapy with Kate and I couldn't be happier with his improvement! I owe so much to Kate for her watchful eye and knowledge of her profession. Money well worth it!

I brought my german shepard Guardian here after finding out we would be battling the early onset of DM. Kate was nothing short of amazing on the intake exam. Incredibly knowledgable, personable, and so authentic you felt right at home sitting there. Truly grateful for the service A Loyal Companion provides and their genuine care of mans best friend. Looking forward to battling this alongside such a great group of people.

I was watching my friend's doggie swim and the gym owner was rude and kicked her out after a 20 min swim because we had to wait for someone to finish late and someone who came on time for the next thirty min appointment. I was not impressed how the owner handed the situation. I decided I will not use this gym for my dogs.

A wonderful resource for dogs with physical challenges. Mixing genuine science, technology and compassion, the staff improve the mobility of their clients both in the gym and in the indoor pool. Given the affordable services this is a wonderful Tucson resource. Easy parking off Grant and Swan.

Great staff! They have helped me with my GSD with his multiple leg issues. He's able to walk with a brace and he loves to swim there!

No waiting. When your appointment time arrives, you begin. Extremely small staff, caring and able, and obviously knowledgeable. Believe me, when I tell you that my dog totally aggrees.

I took my 7 month old German Shepherd foster dog here for a consult to see what we could do to help him regain mobility. Kate was wonderful, took notes on his situation, and made a plan for us going forward. We even got a cart the same day, which she took the time to fit to him. I was able to schedule 5 pool sessions at once to make sure that I could be on the books, and she helped me make adjustments to the harness that he has to help with assistance. Kate was very informative and helpful and I am confident that with her help, Leo will have the best chance at being a normal dog. Definitely recommend for any PT needs.

I think this will be a great relationship . My dog is improving and I feel this might just get her walking with both back legs again. After a few minutes she relaxed enough to actually participate in the exercises . Swim therapy will be interesting since she doesn't like to be wet.

The staff here are all wonderful. They are warm and caring. It is obvious they love working with and helping the elderly and mobility challenged dogs. The swimming pool provides a perfect form of exercise without causing stress to joints. I highly recommend A Loyal Companion.

They were great!!! I have an older dog that becomes a spaz when going to vets or anywhere. They were very patient with her and mapped out a plan for a custom brace and maybe water therapy. VERY happy with them ????????

This place is a dream come true for us, we just moved to tucson, and my golden retriever loves to swim, but there's no lakes to swim. We found loyal companions and angel my golden, loves swimming in the pool, she has so much fun and exhausted from having a good workout, plus it makes me happy to see my dog so happy, she barks with joy. Btw, the staff are awesome, great caring people. Thank you thank you.

You must take time to visit if you have a dog of any age.

Wonderful people. Indoor pool for exercise or rehab. They specialize in aging or disabled pets and help them get back mobile with equipment or training.

I take my corgi dashound mix to Kate for massage therapy, she loves going and it helps her back a lot.

Kiat gave us a Great and a friendly person/service. We got served a total different set of drinks from our regular waiter and she over heard us and came and fixed our drinks with a great attitude and attention.
