My cavs (Smokey and Bandit) were a mess and they performed a miracle lol! They did a great job!

CUSTOMERS BEWARE: THIS REVIEW IS IMPORTANT AND PERSONAL, I took my dog for a haircut Saturday, THE WAY THE GROOMER TREATED MY DOG WAS HORRIBLE, SHE BEAT MY DOG WITH THE BRUSH AND PULLED HER AGGRESSIVELY WITH THE LEASH IT WAS VERY DISTURBING TO WATCH, WHEN THE SO CALLED FEMALE GROOMER WAS CONFRONTED ABOUT THE SITUATION, I WAS KICKED OUT OF THE ESTABLISHMENT. IT VERY SAD TO LEAVE A PET FOR SOME TLC, and having to see this I HONESTLY FEEL LIKE A BAD PARENT BY FYI THE HAIRCUT WAS BAD AND WE PAID FOR THE SERVICE , ????????????????

Cost is rising quickly but groomers are great

We have two short hair dogs, a beagle mix and chihuahua mix. They needed a deep clean, nails, glands and ears. The groomers were so friendly, gentle and helpful. Very very clean in their establishment. The dogs are soft, their nails are perfect and they were well taken care of. Did I mention the price was super affordable and they got us in the same week I called. If you bring your dog in they will quote you a price. We will be going back every 6 weeks for a nice deep clean.

I’m a retired groomer and won’t go anywhere else! They are the best in town, She hires and manages her team for five star service. I love Shelly and all her groomers, I drive from Sedona just for her to groom my baby when I can’t do it.

I took my dog in this past Saturday for bath and brush, and when I picked him he was unable to open his left eye. If they got shampoo in his eye they did not rinse it and take proper precautions nor did they notify me. I will never trust this place with my dog again.

If I could give zero stars I would. Took my 6 month old saint bernard puppy here for a bath and nail trim. They had her for approximately 4 hours and when we got her back she was extremely lethargic for the rest of the day. The following day after a short walk, we realized both of her back paws were bleeding pretty bad. Turns out her nails were clipped to short which caused them to bleed. Beth McDowell was the person responsible. There was no communication from her that she had cut her nails too short. We were trying to support local business by taking her there but it turns out the employees here are not competent enough to even clip nails correctly! Do not bring your pets here.

I love this place! They are always so so so professional and do a great job each time I take my Ginger in for a grooming. The owner and her employees are by far the best! I would NEVER EVER TAKE MY DOG GINGER ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE! My dog always comes home happy and it makes me happy. Keep up the good work Shelly and crew! You guys are AWESOME!

My dog Rocky gets his hair cut by Addy for years and she always does such a good job! We are happy everytime ????

They are always so good about getting our animals in and doing a wonderful job on their grooming.

I had my girl groomed by Sarah. She did a fantastic job! Stopped by there to see when they had an opening and got her in the same day! Very happy with the service and price was good. Definitely recommend!

I took my puppy to them for her first groom and they did great with her! She had one no show and was able to get us in so fast and when we got there we mentioned our other dog, who doesn’t do very well with groomers, and they told us to bring him in right then and there. Sarah (I hope I spelled your name correctly) was absolutely amazing with both of our dogs! She did EXACTLY like we asked, she bonded with our dogs first and gained trust, and then did an AMAZING job on them! Thank you so much! I highly recommend them!

This is the most amazing groomer I have ever been to. They are always great with caring about my dog. Great communication and wonderful people. Always customer service oriented in every way. I can't imagine going anywhere else

Fanstastic job with my Australian Shepard

Not sure what happened to this place but it breaks my heart. The last 3ntimes I was in there I did not receive equal services but there is an increased price. I had not problem with the price increase to support a favorite local business but if my dogs nails are so sharp I have to take them to get trimmed again.... What's the point? So I'm looking for a new groomer.

Been taking my husky here for almost a year, they never let me down and treat all the animals like they're their own!

Last Saturday i was in the area and decided to stop in to ask for a pricing guide. My dog has a groomer we take her to regularly at PetSmart. However being a woman and a small business owner myself, i always try and support small local businesses. Now, i must admit, i looked a bit frumpy that morning. I was on a mommy-daughter date getting coffee and going to the bookstore. When i walked in, the heavy set brunette was working on a dog and looked at me as if i wanted to sell her something! No smile, no hello, no "warm and fuzzies". I informed her that i would like to know if she had a Pricing Guide. She did not look me in the eye after that moment, went back to grooming the dog. She said "we dont have a guide, tell me what kind of dog you have and ill tell you what i think it will cost". Her demeanor was one of annoyance, her voice was nearly inaudible and she never said good bye when i departed. Did I look poor? Was it because i am a race other than Caucasian? I have to wonder because as i was hanging around the area, i did see someone of Caucasian decent walk into the store and it was all smiles and greetings. I normally dont play the race card but in this situation, i really felt looked down upon. Perhaps im reading the situation wrong, perhaps she was having a bad day. In any case, may i offer some advice? You probably lost a potentially loyal customer with many friends that own dogs. I know personally that "word of mouth" is the best advertising for small businesses. May i suggest that you treat each person that walks into your establishment as if they matter. As if they are important to your business. These days, with all the hatred in the world, a simple smile may change a person's day. God bless.

Great quality services, love this place!

Shelly's had groomed my two Silky Terriers for many years, they have since passed away. They both became blind and Shelly's continued to groom them for many years. I can't say enough about how great they were. If your looking for a dog show cut maybe you need to hire your own groomer but Shelly's was consistently great for more then ten years. Thank You.

Took my 16 year old Maltese. Friendly staff were attentive to what I wanted done. They provided excellent service!

As clients of Shelly's since we moved to Tempe we were shocked today when we brought our dog in for grooming. None of the employees were wearing masks, nor was the woman dropping off her dog in front of us. My husband and I walked out instantly. Tempe requires masks in businesses and for good reasons. Anyone who knows someone who has suffered or died from COVID realizes this disease is debilitating and potentially deadly. Wearing masks is a sign that we care about the health and safety of others even if they're inconvenient or uncomfortable. Goodbye Shelly's. We really thought you cared.
