They let us come pick our kitty up when we had an incident with him past closing time. They were warm and understanding and I wish I could give more than 5 stars for the service they provided.

I have had several unpleasant experiences with Lost our home. Com. 1st Experience, my family and I run a fundraiser, we selected Loh as the recipient of our fundraiser, we discussed this with Florine, she seemed excited. Over the course of a few years, we managed to raise a few hundred dollars, I know, it does seem alot, on top of the money, we also collected cat food, and supplies for Loh. After around 2 yrs of doing this, Florine started acting strange. It seemed that she was looking forward to the money and supplies. Shortly after our fundraiser, a neighbor found a 5 week old black kitten, I immediately contacted Florine, after several attempts she finally picked up the phone, I explained the situation. She then asked, What color is the kitten? I replied, He is Black. She then danced around the question, stating she was not in the office, and didn't want a black kitten, who was in need of her help. She then said she was getting hair extensions that night, and good bye. I was stunned as I hung up the phone. I took the kitten home with me, where he has a forever home, this was 6 yrs ago. About a yr after this my family wanted to adopt a kitten for our other black kitten. We went to Loh, were Florine showed us a little gray kitten. He seemed distant, and lethargic. Florine stated he was nervous, and would be fine. He was not fine . He had an upper respiratory infection and we carried ot home to our cats. I almost lost my 15 yr old. I was furious! The lack of disrespect towards that kitten and towards us was inexcusable. As the holidays rolled around, Florine contacted me and inquired about the fundraiser. I told her, Yes, we are doing a fundraiser, and Lost our home was not the candidate due to her actions in the past. Now we are at 3 experiences with Florine. That was enough! I have no idea were the money went that was donated to Loh, but I can guess. This last weekend, we were at Petsmart on Elliott, near the I 10, i noticed an employee throwing out all kinds of things from Loh, signs, double signs, and paperwork. My understanding is that Loh was no longer at Petsmart. No other explanation was given. Sad to think that someone could cause such a problem, that you are hesitant to adopt a pet from Lost our home.com.

Amazing experience! I went there to relieve some stress and Madeline had the best energy ever! She asked me if I wanted to meet the cats and I am so glad I took her up on her offer, even though I'm extremely allergic. The cats were super nice and well tamed, I mean...makes sense when you have a mom as amazing as Madeline! Literally the vibe there was so wholesome, I can't wait to start volunteering!

We just adopted our new cat here. Very friendly staff. Nice set up. The cats are all in a big room together not stuffed in small aquariums like petsmart/petco. You get to really see the cats in action. They give you as much time as you need with the animals. We found our buddy hiding in tunnel behind the bench. Not as outgoing as the others. But now that he's home he has come out of his shell and we could not be happier!!! Also their adoption prices are about $100 less than petsmart/petco. For kittens anyway. Thank you so much for the work you do for the animals and families in our community. ***LOVE THIS RESCUE***

They NEVER answer their phone. You can call them several times over the course of a day and selecting different options from the automated system, it rings and rings and no one picks up.

This shelter seemed like a good idea at first, but I am being left disappointed with the lack of professionalism, communication, and their procedures when attempting to adopt a pet. I had my eyes on a dog for a couple weeks and had been in contact with Sherry very often in the beginning. Myself and my family have quite a bit of experience with larger breeds, as well as dealing with various behavioral issues. Sherry said that we sounded like a great fit, which, awesome, sounds positive. We get to the shelter to meet the dog, who got along great with us all, and we moved on to the meet of our current dogs. My brothers female showed some timid ness, but no aggression whatsoever, she just needs some time to open up some. His male, however, may have been stressed and did not welcome the shelters dog. Although this is aggravating, it does not make much sense to discard me from adoption, because I will be in a new residence without being in contact with these two dogs at the time of adoption. It also is very odd that they did not allow me to witness the dogs behaviors during the meet and greet. Sherry has failed to respond to multiple emails I’ve sent this week, which is where the lack of communication comes from.

The caretakers at this place are awesome. You can tell they really care about animals. At this time the dogs I wanted to adopt didn't bond with mine. I'll be back one day when I see a compatible match.

I’m sure LOH does a nice job within their niche, that said, after being a foster for them I find that they definitely under appreciate those helping them. I’ve fostered pets (dogs and cats) for nearly 8 years, and this has been the least appreciated experience in all that time. LOH required multiple trips (rather than combining care) for neutering and vaccines, gave limited notice for pick-up and gave poor drop off instructions (gave a time/date for drop off but forgot to mention that checkin was another door entirely). Their support while fostering is limited to automated surveys/generated replies rather than personal follow up. While I personally have all the needed accessories to foster (crates/dishes/toys/food), their support in this area is also minimal. Definitely my least rewarding foster experience….I won’t be offering again
