Dr Dunning is the best ever! Look no further!

This veterinarian doesn’t care about bringing in new pet owners and pets. Not owner-friendly. Looking elsewhere.

We take both of our dogs to Countryside, and we (and the dogs!) just love everyone there. We’re nearly always able to get an appointment quickly, if necessary. The facility is clean, the folks are friendly, and they offer a Paw Plan that covers a few visits, labs, an x-ray (I think). If you’re looking for a great facility to care for your pets’ heath needs, you won’t find better.

This was my first visit. Dr. Dunning and his team made me feel important and expressed sincere concern for my new 9 week old puppy who was suffering from diarrhea. They took the time to listen and answer all of my questions. Kodi and I have found our trusted Vet and are willing to drive 35 minutes to ensure we get the best care. Keep up the great work!

They treat your pet with all the love that you would. You are family and they care for your animals like they are family too. I trust them to take care of my two 17 year old dogs and I trust their recommendations. Best vet I have ever had.

Countryside animal hospital does an amazing job of making you feel welcome and like family. Dr. Dunning is a true professional and it shows when he treats your pets as if they were his own.

I went to this vet for a second opinion on one of my cats. They completely resolved the issue and were thorough and extremely knowledgeable. Goose & Tooter will be back to this vet in the future. Can’t say anything negative. Well priced is just an added bonus. The staff is PHENOMENAL. I love the gals at the front desk and Doctors Hoppe and Smith have been absolutely wonderful to work with. Thank you for taking care of our babies!

Been taking our dog here for about 5 months (puppy plan) and just recently had to bring her in for a sick visit. Doc called me personally to go over her diagnosis, recommendations, and plan moving forward. Everything was in the best interest of our puppy and not the pocket book. The staff here is always so friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable, and forth coming. Thanks for the great care!

Literally these guys are the best! Everyone there knows there stuff and everyone is so genuinely nice! I have absolutely loved taking the dogs here and couldn't imagine taking them to any other clinic.

I have only had wonderful experiences at Countryside! All of the technicians and doctors are super kind and helpful to both me and my dog! My beagle absolutely loves it there!! The paw plan they offer is a great way to pay monthly to make sure your pup is always covered and they are very upfront about what the paw plan covers and if it is worth it for your pet! They genuinely care about your pups well-being at countryside! I also really appreciate their responsiveness. Someone always answers and is helpful when I call and scheduling is super easy! I only can say good things and definitely recommend for anyone and everyone’s fur baby! I moved to Arcadia from Tempe and still make the hike to countryside because it is worth it!

We love Julie! She takes good care of Molly and her grooming - even when Molly can be a pain!

The newly remodeled facility is beautiful. All the front desk staff were friendly, and Dr. Dunning gave Pancho Villa a very good checkup, even though it was a tug-of-war at one point (Dr. Dunning won).

I really love the vets at this animal hospital—they are always honest; caring; and do a really great job at handling my male German Shepherd who can be quite anxious and on edge! Some of the office staff can be condescending which is annoying because they aren’t even the vets… some of the office staff is absolutely great though! There have been 2 women that come across as judgey and condescending in the office, but all the other ladies I’ve worked with have been great. We’re all just pet parents trying our best… all in all, I’m always happy with my experience because the vets really are top notch, and that’s what’s most important!

Dr. Dunning is extremely knowledgeable, honest and kind. He treats every animal as if they are his own. The office staff is very friendly and personable. Highly recommend!

I have the up most respect for this animal hospital. The first time coming here was in 2018 to put our 11 year old baby down. They were so kind and loving to us and treated our baby with such respect. We were have a new puppy and they love and care for her, we couldn't imagine going anywhere else.

I was so impressed that my typically skittish dog did not have to be dragged or carried in the door. She walked right in, wagging her tail & never seemed to get anxious or stressed out! The energy was so positive & loving. Dr. Denning actually sits on the floor to examine my Pitty; petting & loving on her the whole time. Everyone including the checkout women, were so caring. Someone even offered to hold my leash & provide attention to my baby while I was getting instructions & paying. I’ve never had such a great Veterinarian experience before!!!

Overall was a quick and easy experience with decent costumer service. I took my kitten approximately 9 months old to get her first check up and shots. What made me give this place a 1 star is when they took my kitten back to get her blood work done I was able to hear her from down the office screaming in being uncomfortable and pain. Approximately 5 minutes later after the screaming stopped they return her to me in a box with the staff saying that they couldn’t do the blood work because was all over the place, which is understandable at first. When I returned home we soon noticed that when anyone touches her and picks her up she hisses and get very uncomfortable, she like lost trust in everyone since the visit. Which led me to believe that when they were trying to do work on this little kitten the staff was not trying to make her comfortable but was mistreating her. Ever since that visit she’s never been the same. If you go to the place demand that you be by your pet 100% of the time.

Our first appointment with Dr. Dunning was about 9 months ago when we couldn’t get into the vet we had been patients of for 16 years. Our 10 year old Rottie was suffering and we didn’t know why. We could get an appointment the same day with Countryside after telling them the severity of our dog ‘s health (our vet couldn’t get us in for a month!). We knew it wasn’t going to be good. Dr. Dunning is one of the kindest humans we’ve ever met and needed to share the depressing news that our Romeo was not going to live much longer and was in a great deal of pain. The entire staff at Countryside was incredible throughout our appointment and devastating decision to say goodbye to Romeo. Even though it was our first appointment, we were treated like we’ve been seeing Countryside for our vet appointments for years. Dr. Dunning explained each of the options we had, talked us through the final procedure, and was so caring to our entire family. We cannot thank everyone at countryside enough for the support and love they showed us that day. The 2nd appointment with Dr. Dunning was this week when we brought in our new rescue puppy for his first check up. And once again everyone at Countryside was incredible. Each staff member we interacted with were SO kind and welcoming- each one, including Dr. Dunning, got down on the ground to give Caber some love and played with him. Caber felt very comfortable during his visit (he didn’t want to leave!????) even street getting two vaccines. Dr. Dunning gave us some great tips on how to survive life with a puppy (it’s been awhile since we’ve had one this young????????‍♀️) and was so happy for our family and Caber to find each other. Countryside is our new permanent vet for us! Thank you to everyone at Countryside for all that you do for animals and their humans. ❤️

Dr. Smith is an outstanding veterinarian and a wonderfully welcoming individual. She made our skittish puppy comfortable completing the exam before we knew it. I'm coming back.
