VCA Apache Animal Hospital Sierra Vista, Arizona

Very BAD Place.They have an organism that was sent to CDC for identification by Sierra Vista Hospital. It causes human illness and is being treated by strong mixture of antibiotics. It's easily passed from human to human.

I needed a prescription filled for my cat. She gets UTIs. I took her here six months ago, spent $1000.00 to run test, got the prescription and bought her special food. When the prescription ran out, the vet refused to refill the prescription so I could buy more. She wanted to do an exam, which cost $75, though the prescription is “free”. I feel like this place took advantage of me and my pets. Perhaps I wouldn’t have felt that way of the vet called and told me that herself, not the administrator. When I had questions, the woman I spoke to understandably couldn’t answer them. If you are going to charge me, I would like to understand why. She did not have symptoms that she had six months ago, so why tell me that she has to come in for an exam?

The Apache team loved our puppy just as much as we did. He was a sick little guy but they took really good care of him. The staff was responsive and caring. They were able to get us in the office the same day we called and answered my phone calls in between visits. They answered all of our questions and made us feel supported through all of the ups and downs. Ultimately, our pup was just too little (1lb) and too weak to win his battle but I felt better knowing that he was truly cared for along the way. Thank you guys ❤️

rushed my dog there after a fight, granted the Vet had no problem meeting me in the front door,, but definitely had a problem helping me until i had 2000 in CareCredit to throw at her,,Went home like i was told to do, gotta call around 11;00 and Was told my dog would be ok and i can pick her up around 3;30,, 15 minutes later i get a call saying shes on a vent and wont make it, come say my good bye,,Then i find out Dr.Barrick never even done any blood work that would have told her there was internal bleeding,she said she did xrays ,,and if so xrays would have shown in white something wrong,, She was so set on me paying her but then does nothing to help my dog,,, I am filing a civil lawsuit, and i will settle it in court, it wont bring my baby girl back and god how i miss her but maybe it will lead to more investigating and maybe they will make it to where you actually have to attend a school and not OJT to be a vet tech,, and since her specialty is Feline, she should just leave the dogs alone,, its been almost 2weeks and i still havent received MJ's ashes...

Went to get my young dogs shots and heart worm today, she's was a bit nervous so they put my dog on anti anxiety meds and told me to come back the next day. I came back with her all loopy and Dr. Denney comes in acting all afraid and jumpy which dogs can sense so it made my dog way more afraid. She wouldn't even try to warm up to my dog and talk to her. Long story short my pup got her shots but not her important heartworm meds. Don't recommend Dr. Denney to anyone who has dogs because she is apparently afraid of the slightest twitch your dog makes. Not very professional in my opinion, and we won't be letting Denney around our animals again. Better her assistant just do it all because she actually comes in all upbeat and with treats and tries to get to know your dog.

My pup Mayhem was rushed to VCA due to sudden onset of feeling ill and vomiting blood. we didn't know what to do and rushed him to VCA apache animal hospital. I called on the phone a bit panicked and the people who took the call was very calm and didn't get upset with me. They told me to come right away. The Dr was very thorough in what was going on and gave us different options if we needed it. They didn't rush though anything considering it was way past closing time for them. it was comforting knowing they were still with our pup trying to give him the best care that they could even after hours as we figured out what we wanted to proceed with. VCA showed us they were very compassionate people. Kayla was amazing in going over everything and answering questions and so was the Dr. everyone had patience and understanding with us. They went as far as calling us the next morning to see how Mayhem was doing. Thank you VCA staff!!

I recently had the misfortune of having to say goodbye to my beloved dog of 16yrs and had to schedule an emergency euthanasia . VCA Apache was able to immediately schedule an appointment that morning. I had never used VCA Apache before this, though now they are the only vet I can see myself using from here on out. Dr.Denney was amazing, kind, and compassionate through the whole ordeal and has a heart made of gold. I highly recommend VCA Apache Animal Hospital to anyone who needs their pet seen or treated with the utmost of kindness and respect. Thank you VCA and especially thank you Dr.Denney for all that you do.

I have a cat named " DAWG" they like the name and my Dawg. They have always been knowable, kind, and greet both of as as close friends of there family.

Like looking place. Easy to get to and plenty of parking. Pricey.

Great service, always feel they are genuine and sincere whenever I take my kitty boys in for a checkup.

They were very quick, and kind. My dog is a nervous Milly, but she liked them even though I couldn't go in with her.

We have always had great experiences here. Very caring staff who always take the best care of your pet. They got us in promptly when our pet was injured. Dr. B called to give us an update pre and post visit- very kind to hear from the doctor herself. Highly recommend.

As an RVer we use Vets that we are not familiar with when our dog’s vaccinations come due. I called and made appointments for both of our dog’s Pro Heart injections. I explained that we were traveling and we were only in the area for a short period of time. I was told that we could get the injections for both our dogs. I asked what the vet needed from us and I was told to just bring in their records showing that they had been on Pro Heart and that they had been tested prior to going on the medication and they would administer the shot. I received a call six hours prior to the dog’s appointment and was told that the Vet would not give the injection on the day of the appointment since the clinic did not perform the heart worm test in-house but had to send it out and it would be at least a day before they received the results. We will be leaving the area before they can get the results! This shows a very poor in house training of their personnel. I will not use this Vet when in the area nor will I recommend this Vet to anyone.

They have always been great with my Great Danes

The staff was so gentle and considerate at a time that was hard for our family. One of our pets had an injury that wasn't able to recover from, and they allowed us to come in, stay in the room with, and euthanize all with gentle understanding and thoughtfulness of our loss. I took my pup Astro here for swelling in his face and the staff were professional and took care of him quickly. They communicated well during the whole process, treated Astro well, and they let me know what treatments they recommended and how to follow up care after leaving. Appointment only costed $65. They followed up in a few days with a phone call to make sure Astro was doing okay. Great value and service.

Drive up, call the number, and they come get your pets. They call with all updates, bring your pets back out and put them in your vehicle, then text you a link to pay your bill. Very efficient.

I was visiting from out of town I had an emergency I called them and they saw my dog within an hour I was very impressed thank you for helping

Nice very competent staff. Was unable to go inside due to covid restrictions.

Unfortunately for my family, my dog's health seemed to plummet throughout the day. I called our vet about scheduling a euthanasia appointment for that day and was told that they already had 4 emergencies and I couldn't bring her in that day. I called VCA Apache and even though they were going to close in an hour and a half, Rhonda fit us in. Everyone there was compassionate, caring, professional and respectful. They never met us before and yet, such compassion met us. A week later we received a thoughtful sympathy card with personalized messages. They are awesome. My own veterinary hospital couldn't even make time, even when they closed at 6:30 that evening. Thank you VCA, such wonderful people there.

Staff is beyond amazing caring and compassionate...

Unfortunately we had to send our dog Bob across the rainbow bridge...but the staff here and service were really caring and thorough. I would totally recommend Apache as the vet hospital to go to in Sierra Vista. The actual facility is really nice as well.

They treat you and your per like family.

The vet and the vet techs were very good with my cat. I do recommend them.

They were great, got me in quickly when I needed it and cared beyond the simple business of it.

The entire staff blew me away by their big-hearted and compassionate approach to caring for our pets! I enjoy bringing our pets here and highly recommended VCA Apache!
