I brought my little girl yorky there because she had a little labored breathing- she was very alert and full of herself sitting in her car seat on the way there. When I got there, they snatched her out of my arms and brought her back- within a half hour they said she wasn’t going to make it???? I was so confused- 1 minute she is full of life and the next I’m watching her die. They said she had a heart murmur and her lungs were filled with fluid- no other vet diagnosed a heart murmur- I don’t know how she could be a spitfire one minute to dead the next- they gave her lasix- 2 shots- she passed on the table- I talked to my vet and he thinks because she was so little and afraid of big things and scared without me that when they took her, she hyperventilated ... and with the fluid in her lungs she drowned- he said he would have sedated her or had me there to keep her calm. I wish I had known this! I told them next time they should rethink how they grab a little baby out of their moms arms and scare them to death!

Pros: Doctor Ford did a very good job with a thorough examination. The staff was very responsive at the front desk and the back room staff was very nice to work with as well. The test results are written very well with little to question. My experience was very good at this location and with Doctor Ford. Doctor Ford was recommended as THE specialist from 3 other non-associated pet hospitals. Cons: My wait time was about 45 minutes even with an appointment. Not a big deal to finally sit and hangout for a bit. (Normally Im running around like a mad person).

My friend took her car there who was lethargic and not eaten in 2 days. After checking her vitals snd charging $155 they said it would be a 5-6 hour wait, so she left her fur baby there. At 6pm she called for a status and was told they were very busy to provide one. At 8pm she called again to find her cat was STILL waiting to be seen! Given no food, no water during the last 8 hours in their “care”. Seems all they care about is $. NEVER take your pet here folks! I know I won’t. They kept trying to get her to go elsewhere but all the other emergency vet hospitals had 5+ hour wait- she would have to start all over again at a new place so felt better to leave her cat there to be seen, however that didn’t end well! At least she is home now and more comfortable. Never going here again!

I cannot recommend this establishment highly enough. My pet was dying. The team told me to come in asap, when other valley veterinarian offices told me they were full. The team RAN out to my vehicle and helped me get my 98 pound beloved dog inside. The ENTIRE team was kind, professional, knowledgeable, and made time for us when other veterinarian offices would not. I am comforted knowing my pet was receiving such attentive care as the team allowed me to be with my pet in her last moments, while they made my pet comfortable in her passing. Both myself and the entire greater Phoenix area are blessed to have access to this establishment. The entire team deserves to know how much I appreciate their professionalism and care. I cannot recommend this veterinarian hospital highly enough.

I brought my dog at 240 AM. We were the only people there and we didn’t leave until after 4 AM. I had to call twice to get a radiology report. It is now 10:18PM and when I called to reinsure nearly 4 hours later, the receptionist was exceptionally rude. I understand there are critical cases but it was extremely unprofessional the manner which I was spoken to. I have used this facility before but will now be reconsidering, not due to the amount of distress I’ve had waiting for final results, but the blatant disrespect and inconsiderate voice on the other line of that phone call. Such significant insensitivity is so upsetting when dealing with a sick pet, please look further than this location. Still don’t have my results

Saturday I Paid $1700 for a wound clean from a dog fight. Was told I needed to see a surgeon to close up wound. Monday at Sundance vet on lower buckeye. Paid same amount and had wound cleaned, stitched closed with drainage tubes. I wouldn't go here for wounds but it was a Saturday night and only place that wasn't busy and now I know why! Pic is from Sundance vet who closed the wound not Bluepearl.

Never take your pet here. My 3 year old great dane was hit by a car near our house and we took him here for an emergency and they cared more about money than my dogs well being.

I took my cat in on Sunday and they released him saying he was fine and it was probably just emotional stress. They said to keep an eye on him for 24 hours. I took him to Vet Med for a 2nd opinion and he had late stage heart and kidney disease. He passed away on Tuesday. I wish Blue Pearl would've done a more thorough check. The cat was not okay, he barely had the strength to walk. I will miss him dearly.

Just moved to AZ, brought my Rottweiler in for a large gash in her leg. BluePearl was professional, friendly, and informative. Checked in around 6pm, she was getting stitches around 8pm, and home around midnight. Couldn't imagine a better experience. Highly recommend.

BluePearl Animal Hospital was Fabulous place. Back in March my dog got attacked by a coyote and Blue pearl were so kind and would let me know how my do was doing and once we brought her home they called us to let us know how my dog was doing. They are amazing I would recommend them to anyone I know. Thank you so much for all thank you did for my dog.

I am a little confused at all the negative comments. Most don’t even mention what the issue with their pet was just that false hope was given. I just want to quickly mention that veterinarians have to give you options even if one of those …

I needed after hours care for my dog and BluePearl had a much shorter wait than other centers in the area. I decided the extra drive would be worth it. We arrived and were checked in within a few minutes. We settled in for an estimated 2 hour wait, but got a call within 30 minutes from the vet with a diagnosis and treatment plan. Medications were filled and we were out of there within 90 minutes of arriving. The vet and staff were professional and pleasant. A great experience.

I was charged $2,600 to be told that I should go to another vet (cardiologist). They knew the problem was with my cats heart, they should have told me this before running thousands of dollars worth of unrelated tests. Not sure why they felt the need to check for so many other things when it was already clear that she is dying.

We are so happy!!????????????❤???? Thanks so much to Dr. Sara Ford and the staff members at the Blue Pearl Veterinary Specialty Hospital in Scottsdale, AZ Dr. Sara Ford is the best, we came all the way from San Diego to see her because we just can't find a real specialist for our dear Brandy (doggie) who is diabetic with some complications due to it. The trip was well worth it we leave with a new treatment, very happy and even Brandy seemed to be happier and very calm when she left the hospital. When we say that Dr. Sara Ford is the best, is because she really, truly is, her Specialties: Diabetes Management, Endocrinology, Feline Medicine, Immunology, Medical Oncology..... we've seen 4 or 5 different vets in San Diego and Brandy was only getting worse. She even stopped walking and last evening Brandy started to walk!!! and she's moving almost like her normal self again. Thanks so much Dr. Ford and thank GOD because we also prayed so much the whole time Brandy was in her appointment.????????????????

Thank you guys for doing the job you’re doing and saving my little puppy! Regards, Lisa, Blu’s owner

Yesterday my dachshund got an allergic reaction to her rabies shot at her primary vet. They were closed and I've never dealt with allergies before and her face was incredibly swollen. I had called a few vets to see if bringing her in was necessary. I was advised to give her a small dose of benadryl and if it gets worse to bring her in to make sure the swelling doesn't block her airways. Yesterday 3 places I called were very busy but I was referred to BluePearl Pet Hospital. The staff was very quick to bring her in and was patient when I had to go home to grab my wallet cause I left the house so fast. I had to wait a tiny bit as a couple critical cases came in before Peggy was discharged. I told them take all the time they need I'm just glad my pups okay. I got a call and they explained their treatments on Peggy and that the swelling should go down overnight and to keep giving her benadryl over the next couple days. This morning her face has gone down significantly and she's doing much better. Thank you guys for seeing her. I was probably extra panicky but im also thankful they gave me additional information in case this happens again in the future. They even called this morning to check in to make sure she was still doing okay. I am very pleased with the quality of service at this pet hospital.

The stars say it all... I waited 4 hours in the parking lot for my dog never to be seen by the vet. I was even placed on hold for several minutes to even get the status if my dog had been evaluated. I finally told them I no longer want their services and to bring my dog to me. I was told this was an emergency hospital and there were dogs in critical condition... But I went for what I believed was an emergency?... I paid for a toxicology screen and wasn’t even provided with the results. Overall just a horrible experience and a lack of empathy for my situation. I would definitely advise you to go to another hospital as this one won’t treat your pet if it’s in “stable” condition.

Lethargic dog, waited in the parking lot for two hours, no estimate or exam. Covid service, out of sight out of mind. Hopefully my dog will be okay because I had to get home.

Excellent emergency care for our 8 month old Great Dane pup. Became lethargic and would not eat or drink. Took her in at midnight. Excellent care and follow through. They kept her overnight for IV fluids and antibiotics. She seems to be mending. Entire staff and the DMVs were excellent. Very pleased.

If I could give this place a zero I would. NEVER EVER bring your pets to this hospital. I'm not the one to write reviews but I cannot sit here and do nothing about it I need people to be AWARE and INFORMED about the fraud of this hospital. This hospital does NOT care about your pet whatsoever all they do is give you hope and rack up the bill. All they care about is money and how much they will charge you. We brought in our puppy on 7/22 and she stayed until 7/24 they conducted several tests on her and they kept advising for her to stay at their hospital another night just to be sure that she was going to be okay, we didn't care about the money so we agreed to leave her another night. Within those two days we called several times to check up on her and we were told every time that she was a healthy puppy, everything was completely fine it was a "freak accident" of course I am going to believe a professional so it gave us hope that our little puppy was going to be okay. They gave us a packet with information in regards to what tests they conducted on her but not once did they tell us she was a dying puppy that there was no hope for her. When we took her hope they couldn't even provide us with enough medication as stated on those bottles, we had to drive back several times asking for more as they couldn't even do the bare minimum. On 7/27 we took her to another vet because she did not look good when we brought her in the vet was shocked that we still had this puppy and started questioning us in regards to how could Blue Pearl have discharged such a sick puppy back home that there was no hope for this puppy to live a normal life and get better. The vet was curious what was told to us especially when you get charged 1.7k + for all the testing and so called help they did to our poor puppy. We were give false hope the entire time, we were lied to over and over again about the health status of this puppy. Now we have a massive bill to pay for a dog that is no longer with us. If only we could have been told the truth all this could have been avoided but hey money is more important to these people not the well being of animals. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE PLEASE I AM BEGGING YOU.
