I don't understand how it took me this long to find out about this one. I was paying so much because of the type of dogs, but still didn't see any savings with my old pretty insurance. Plus the reimbursement checks will be 4-5 months after the fact. UPC is highly recommended in my book. I already have my daughter and mom change to them.

Has helped us save money with our vet visits and takes some of the financial stress of having to go to the vet.

Not sure why there’s so many negative reviews about customer service, I’ve never had any problems. It’s a great deal for a low monthly price. I have two pets signed up with UPC and while the coverage might not be as comprehensive as other insurances, it’s also not as expensive. I’ve saved a lot of money using it.

Seriously!!! I called and cancelled this SAVINGS program in October. They are STILL taking money out of my paycheck as of the 27th of November. Time to contact the AZ Attorney General’s office. Thankfully this can be done online. UPDATE*********** I received the “confirmation of cancellation” post card the day after the above review and even still as of my December 11 paycheck these people are STILL taking $15.03 out of my paycheck.

Horrible customer service. Won’t explain anything to you nicely because it’s in the pamphlet. Lady was so rude to me and apparently there’s only one pet hospital in the state they give discounts for. Oh and they aren’t a pet insurance yet jobs are listing them as such.

Pretty good! The vet that I go to is West Academy Animal Hospital and to go in just for a consultation is $40 but I went in and recently and got my dogs all of their up-to-date shots and my insurance covered all of the shots and so what was going to be a $100 visit, $60 for the shots and $40 for the visit, turns out was only a $40 visit so pretty good!

So I signed up for a yearly plan but got charged a monthly fee. They have non existent web-service so you have to call or email for any issue and some issues you have to call for cancellation for example. But the worst part? charging $30 to cancel the so called "discount" service. People are having financial difficulties with all that is going on and they charge $30 to cancel the service before it ends. First time pet owners do not be scammed into these kind of services.

Updated 5/172019 - Although Diamondback Drugs is in their "network", the medication is 10% off, not 20% as UPC alludes on their website. Very misleading. ------------------------------------------------ Updated 06.27.2017 - Not sure what happened to this company, but the phone support staff got very snippy with me when I asked questions about plan benefit entitlements. The saving is not what it used to be. Very misleading benefit material where "annual exam" is covered, but they still allow veterinarian office to charge a "office visit" for the exam. Also not all vaccinations are covered. ------------------------------------------------ Old review: I just renewed my pet for the 4th time, my experience with their support staff has been pleasant. My only suggestion for improvement is the ability to lookup account status, renewal information, and payment via an online customer portal.

Average pet health insurance. But in the end they are all the same. A rip-off.

United Pet Care has terrible customer service, and they don't disclose hidden fees that they try to charge (such as a $30 "cancellation fee" per pet if you try to cancel the coverage). When I called and said that this is the first I had heard of such a fee, they said "it's been like this for years and It's all over our website." I scoured the website and couldn't find it. Turns out it only pops up if you try to actually enroll online, which I did not (I enrolled over the phone, and these hidden fees weren't disclosed). I would stay away from UPC and look for a less sketchy alternative.

At first, I loved this service. I had decided to do this for my rabbit, who was getting on in years. As anyone who has a rabbit will know, the vet bills can run pretty high. Unfortunately, he passed in May of this year. I called the office and told them, they said they would make note of it an cancel payments. Everything was great until August, when they started charging me again. I didn’t notice at first, as school had just begun again. I called late November asking for a refund and again I was told that they would make not of the call, change the status, and stop charging me. Just this morning I got a call asking if my card number was still correct so they could charge me for December! I told her all of the above and she said there were no notes on his account! Again, my information has been “passed on” to a manager to discuss my refund. Stay far away. The hassle and grief is not worth the money you will save. UPDATE: I have since talked to the president of the company, Doris. Her entire tone was accusatory and she kept telling me I was wrong. Her excuse was that the “system” logs whenever a customer calls, and I apparently never called. When I told her that everytime I have called, there has been no record of it, she simply said that I called the wrong number. How can that be when the person(s) on the other line specifically said the company name? Do not bother with this company and their poor excuse of a customer service team.

Staff is very friendly. Used them for many years and saved a lot. I would definitely recommend UPC. I'm lost without them

I don’t understand the good reviews. For clarity, when I said “so your company can’t do anything for me, even though I’ve been paying all year?” the response I received was “that’s right.” -nice customer service. Please just purchase real insurance for your pet. This company will happily accept your money, but they won’t cover anything for you. I’m disappointed with my employer for offering this as a “benefit” and will be canceling my account. I feel deceived.

I have had United Pet Care for over 6 years and never had trouble with anything. I am however shocked to find out that when you really need Pet coverage it is difficult to get much help paying. My puppy has a tumor in the front part of his mouth I have been to a number of vets and gotten 5 different opinions on what the best course of action is. It has come down to having SRS Radiation treatments which are showing amazing results with this type of cancer. I contacted United Pet Care to see what financial help I could get to help pay the bill, today a very unpleasant person named Doris (who has been emailing me, and not being much help) asked me to call her. I called her and her first question was " do you really intend on spending $10,000 on this treatment?" I didn't ask for her opinions on rather I should or should not spend the money, I just wanted to know if anything would be covered. She acted like I was too stupid to know to get other opinions (I've seen the best in the state already). Thankfully there are other people in the world who are being supportive, it is just so sad that the company who I thought would understand about taking care of my pet is so unfeeling and AARP has stepped up and is helping me with 30% of the cost.

Thank you United Pet Care from the bottom of my Heart! Max my Dachshund needed Emergency care so I rushed him to Animal Referral & Emergency Center of Arizona 24 hour clinic. The Vet was very caring and I felt encouraged. The 10% off I received because of United Pet Care, really took the sting out of the charges. My follow up visit the next day was with Alta Mesa Animal Hospital, my UPC Primary Vet. Again, amazing staff and with all of the Savings, Max and I were both relieved. I cannot stress enough how United Pet Care has helped me. Listen we all go to the Vet when our fur babies are in need, why not receive Savings in the process! Thank you again!!!

We're so glad to have UPC! It's nice not to have to worry about paying a huge fee for a vet office visit. We have saved a lot of money on medications and procedures--the 20% discount even applies to nail trims. I highly recommend UPC.

I had to call the office to change my plan or vet, since my vet no longer accepted the Choice Plan. The customer service is excellent and the office personnel listen to what your needs are and how they can answer any questions and take action. Thank you for making this a simple process.

Over the years we've had many opportunities to use UPC with our vet. Currently we're down to our two labs, and one cat (who thinks he's a dog). UPC has saved us money and are readily available when we need to update our family.
