When we had a puppy with a broken foot, I was shocked to find a vet that could get us in quickly. I haven't seen many places that seem to care and make time for last minute emergencies. When other things have popped up, they have been so responsive and they obviously care for your pet(s). It feels good to have a go-to vet like this!

No masks on the staff; Dr. B isn’t requiring them apparently. We wanted to leave, but our pet was in desperate need of care so we took a chance and staid, hopefully we don’t end up with COVID-19. Sad to see she could care less for her patients and their families. The pandemic is still happening and this behavior is very irresponsible. We expected more from Dr. B.

Dr. Beyer and her staff are amazing!! She’s taken care of our pets for over 15 years. We absolutely love her and won’t go anywhere else. From basic check-ups to end of life care...it’s done with kindness and compassion. Please take your pets to her...you won’t regret it.

Dr. Beyer and her staff are extremely knowledgeable and nice. In this time of COVID-19 they are taking all precautions to keep pet owners and pets extremely safe. The main door is locked, you will ring the door bell upon arrival for the appointment. Nobody else will be hanging out in the waiting room when you and your pet enter. Your pet will be weighed and then you and your pet will be placed into an examination room. I never saw anyone except Dr. Beyer and one member of her staff, everything was disinfected as soon as my pets and I left. Don't hesitate to make an appointment if your pet needs to visit South Mountain Vet Clinic.

Dr. Beyer has been taking care of my animals for a decade. She has advanced medical skills coupled with her love for animals to practice at her clinic. My animals loved her. Her job would be so much easier if they could tell her what is wrong. She has great insight and experience. Her prices are very reasonably. Her staff is wonderful. One day I asked the vet tech if Dr. Beyer speaks to the animals while they are under anesthesia. The vet tech said "We all do that" I knew they did Dr. Beyer your secret is safe with me. We already have a dog whisperer so I say Dr. Beyer is the Leader of the Pack.

I love Dr Bauer, she has taken loving and excellent care of all of my animals over the years. I can’t speak highly enough of her!! She doesn’t load you up with unnecessary expensive tests, always tries to keep the cost manageable and treats your pets as if they were her own. She genuinely cares ????. When I’ve had to say goodbye to faithful companions over the years she uses a sweet quilt for comfort and lets you have all the time you need. I wouldn’t go to anyone else.

Staff is all incredibly friendly, very supportive of whatever we chose for the stray kitten we found (we kept her). Dr. Bayer is incredibly gentle and kind to whatever cat we bring, and her staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Even if there is a wait, I can rely on not feeling anxious or agitated because of the staff and their clear passion for what they do.

We love Dr. Beyer and how well she takes care of the fur babies. Been seeing her for probably 15+ years now and even though I'm out in San Tan now I still make the trek out when we need a vet.

Very nice vet. Used forever for our dogs and the occasional rescue dog from 15 to 115 pounds no problemo.

My family and I have been taking our pets to Dr. Beyer for many years. We loved that Dr. Beyer seemed to truly love our pets as much as we do and didn't try to up-sell or over-charge us at every chance. Within the last few years we have noticed a change in Dr. Beyer and her staff. She is having a high turnover rate with her employees and she seems to have lost her empathy. On two occasions, a new staff member has been less than gentle with one of our dogs, and Dr. Beyer is very defensive and somewhat hostile when I have brought it to her attention. The last time, I brought in our Labrador for a toenail trimming and the technician cut his nail too short and was bleeding a fat amount when we got home. When I called and spoke to Dr. Beyer, she was dismissive and curt.

I brought my kittie here to have her put to sleep. There was nothing more that could be done for her. She lived a good life. The staff and doctor here were so very amazing. I felt bad for being a blubbering mess. When I picked up my baby she was cream acted and placed in a carved wooden box and I was given a token of her paw print. I cried more when I got home. Thank you so much for being wonderful caring and understanding when someone like me has to give up their baby. I will never go anywhere else. Thank you.

Dr. Beyer is amazing. We switched to her clinic after a recommendation from a friend and we could not be happier. She does not push unnessary services or make you feel guilty for not doing the most expensive treatments. Our dog had been suffering from terrible allergies for years, and no other vet was able to help treat her issues. Dr. Beyer changed our dog's life! Thank you!

I took my baby in to see Dr. Beyers because a family member recommended her because she was more "reasonably priced" than our normal vet. Well, I learned the hard way, you get what you pay for. I spent a long time explaining and going over my dogs history,  especially with valley fever and how i was concerned with some lumps. The lumps I was so concerned about...i was told she was fat and those were love handles. I pretty much had to beg her to do the valley fever test. I KNOW MY DOG! I almost lost her to valley fever years ago, so when I asked, I should have gotten the simple blood draw. Sure enough, her valley fever was back. Had I not insisted on the test, who knows what would have happened. I took her back to the vet we have been seeing for years, and they knew by LOOKING at her something was wrong with her hips, the "love handles". Her knee that Dr. Beyers said was arthritis  due to old age is totally deteriorated due to valley fever or cancer. I am so glad I went with my gut to get another opinion. This is the short version of what Dr. Beyers did NOT catch. Do not take your babies here, it's not worth the cost savings. She literally could have killed my dog because she was lazy.  She is known as "reasonable " because she does no testing. My mom also took her dog there and she ignored symptoms and pleas for tests and now she suffers from seizures, which was preventable had she done ANYTHING. But that is a whole other story of incompetence.
