Dr Hershey is one of the best oncologists in the valley. If she is treating your dog, you are in good hands and she will give you every option for treatment out there.

I called to set up an appointment for a new lymphoma patient. I was on hold for 15 minutes and passed around to 4 different people. I had to repeat why i was calling to all four people. Then she told me they are accepting new patients but they ‘tentatively” schedule, DR Hershey looks at the chart and then calls back with a new move up date. This is wildly inconvenient! I have never heard of something so complicated. This office doesn’t even communicate to each other as i was just passed around to 4 different people without one giving the other a summary as to why i was calling. If they can’t communicate then they can’t treat cancer patients. I’m glad they showed me themselves before i left my dogs care in their hands.

Everyone at this wonderful oncology veterinary, are awesome! They are kind and compassionate. All the staff know and adore my Norman, even if he's a bit spicy at times from having to have his Chemo.

I see Dr. Hershey for large tumors for my boxer-lab Mindy. Dr. Hershey and her team are the most caring team I have ever dealt with. Dr. Hershey is smart, she thinks outside the box and I have been able to have several more months hopefully years with my baby girl. I can't thank her enough. Ashley her admin is always helpful, she never makes you feel like you are a burden. I was told twice by other vets to put my baby down, even to amputate her leg, I conferred with Dr. Hershey and she said absolutely not, so I did not do any of the things the other vets were asking me to do. Mindy is now happy, playing and doing very well. I know I will lose her to this cancer but this team gave her a fighting chance and I couldn't be more thankful for the time that I do have with her. Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart

Dr Hershey removed a large cancerous tumor on our yellow lab. It was in a very difficult area. She was able to remove all of the tumor without nerve damage. Excellent Staff Also.

What an amazing service Dr. Hershey and her staff provide. My almost 12-year-old Rottweiler had osteosarcoma on both of his left legs. I had found out from another veterinary oncologist in Gilbert that his hind left leg was already broken and that there was nothing they could do for him, and advised me I would likely need to put him down within a day or two. I had actually scheduled an appointment with Dr. Hershey first, but the other oncologist was able to see him a little sooner. Fortunately I kept the appointment with Dr. Hershey as a backup! I called them to tell them what the first oncologist had told me, in case they also would not be able to help either - I didn't want to waste one of their appointment slots. Dr. Hershey reviewed his file and her staff advise me that she still thought she might be able to help buy a few months of quality time with him. He was still pretty active and happy, even with a broken leg and a tumor on his other leg, so I was relieved to get a glimmer of hope. Dr. Hershey examined him in early July and advised me on a treatment plan that would help with any pain he was feeling, slow the cancer growth, and promote healthy bone growth to maximize his remaining time. She estimated she could get him 3-6 more months. He ended up lasting until the end of October, just shy of the 4-month mark, and I couldn't be more grateful. Dr. Hershey and her staff are consummate professionals - caring, compassionate, professional, and highly knowledgeable. Words can't express my gratitude.

EXTREMELY disappointed in their lack of compassion! In the beginning of April our Noche started her treatment for lymphoma, we were also told that she had kidney disease. After her 2nd treatment we were told she was in full remission and after a couple more treatments her kidney's were improving. Everything seemed to be going well until she developed a cough. They said she had kennel cough and was given antibiotics. I believe she caught it there even though they tried to say otherwise. We are a one dog family and they only time she went out was in our backyard or to treatment. Then two weeks ago she started throwing up, having diarrhea and her breathing was off. I called the after hours number no one picked up, but I did leave a message. We took her to the hospital that they suggest in the recording. It was there that we were told she had multiple things going on with her and that she may have never been in remission! She also had fluid in her chest, the vet drained it but she went into cardiac arrest. They performed CPR on her and brought her back but sadly the only thing we could do is say our goodbyes. Nobody ever got back to us that day or since then. I assume they know about her passing away because they didn't call to confirm her next treatment appointment which was to be three days later. I'm disappointed that no one from their office has ever reached out. I'll always regret my decision to go there.

Every staff member has been extremely polite and listens to my concerns regarding my dog and his progress to get better. Dr. Hershey is the most compassionate vet I have ever met. So glad we chose her to help our boy Odie.

I need assistance with my jack. The girl that called me today said end of November. I said she won't last that long, she said "ok" and hung upon me. Dr. Hershey would not want her business run that way.

We drive quite a distance to get here as chemo options are very limited in Arizona. They have been very kind and understanding to our situation. Our baby girl HAD GI large lymphoma cancer, and the doctor and staff there have been extremely persistent in finding the right treatment for her. Well, we are do in for our second ultrasound romorrow since her remission results. Fingers crossed. While this cancer has a knack for coming back, we are just enjoying every second we can get with our sweet baby girl. I love you Sequoia. You are my everything ❤

My Sister in Law took her dog here. I went to help her pick the dog up after the first Cancer treatment. This place is amazing! The Staff is very kind and empathetic. They use the same techniques as most Vets however sway more in holistic health and healing.

I have worked here for 9 years. Honestly don't see myself ever working anywhere else! Dr. Hershey treated my dog before I worked here and it was a wonderful experience! When an employment position became available, I had to work here! All our staff are compassionate & dedicated to our patients. Often sharing our lunches with them or just cuddling while they receive treatment.

My dog has an aggressive tumor on his face, I was referred here by the vet who saw him. The woman who answered the phone was a typical sassy and unprofessional millennial who didn’t have time for my individual questions. They are booked out until September 30th (it’s July 15) and my dog doesn’t have 2.5 months with how fast this tumor is growing. She said that maybe when the vet sees the records and test results from the first doctor I saw she might schedule my dog sooner. Then at the end of it all she refused to schedule my consultation without a credit card on file. I am beyond appalled that they refused an appointment without a credit card. How can a cancer vet be booked out 2.5 months. I feel bad for all the people being taken advantage of by these frauds. They are clearly pulling every dollar that they can from people heartstrings over their terminal pets situations. Disgusting place disgusting practices.

No question, our Golden, as a 3 time cancer survivor, owes several years of his life to Dr. Hershey and her team.

Dr Hershey and her staff are so kind and compassionate during the difficult time of your fur kid having cancer. She provides the best treatment plans, but also the very best care of the pets and their people.

Dr. Hershey and IVO is hands down the greatest. They took such great care of our golden retriever and extended his life beyond expectations- I don't think he ever knew he had cancer! Now we go here with our other dogs for cold laser and accupunture which helps immensely. The staff is second to none- caring and compassionate! Best of all we recently adopted a wonderful dog from her rescue!

Thoughtful, thorough, and professional care. Taking our wonderful dog Scout for cancer care is the thing we least like to do. But, since it is necessary we are appreciative and grateful to have Dr. Hershey and her staff available to treat Scout.
