Our little baby had a horrible accident playing ball and had a damaged spinal cord. These guys squeezed us in the day after and Dr. Kim is amazing! We were very impressed with the care given to our baby, the time that her and the doctors took in really evaluating him, and the results. Kudos to a top-notch staff!

The staff is unbelievably patient and kind. Sydney especially reassured me that my concerns were valid and that they would do everything in their power to help my dog. He is now almost two weeks post-op and I have had no issues. Their follow-ups have been very helpful and I appreciate their support and their care.

Our shepherd lab mix lost control of her back legs on a Tuesday and by Thursday couldn't walk at all. After two other vets, VNC took us immediately for spinal surgery. Dr. Moore, Dr. Parker and the staff made us feel as if we were their only patient. I got daily calls and updates as to how our dog was doing. Surgery definitely was not cheap, but she is almost back to 100%. Truly amazing and we are so grateful for VNC!

We were referred to AVC as the ER thought our 10 1/2 week schipperke had brain issues. Dr. Knowles observed him for 24 hours and did tests and determined he had a liver shunt. Thanks to Dr. Knowles prescribing medications and prescription food, our schipperke is almost ten months old and thriving. She and the entire staff are awesome!

I met Dr. Moore and his assistant Julie in the summer of 2020 after moving to Phoenix from San Diego. Prior to moving, my dog had spine surgery and that neurologist made several mistakes, which ended up causing my dog lots of pain. Dr. Moore quickly and accurately diagnosed an untreated infection that the other neurologist missed and placed him on the proper medication. From the moment that we met Dr. Moore and his assistant Julie, they have gone above and beyond helping me manage an often disabling condition. They are always available and there to answer any questions or concerns that I have. If your pet has any neurological issues, you could not go wrong with Dr. Moore and his team.

I can't say enough good things about this place. They are super professional and organized. Dr. Levado was very informative and seemed to really care about me and my pet. I got horrible news but the staff was very comforting and supportive.

I agree with ALL the positive things said about this place. Dr. Knowles is as good as they say. She really cares! Her staff is INCREDIBLE! She has been working with my dog for a long time now, studying his confusing cycles, trying to help him. I know he is in good hands with these people and I so appreciate the help. Without them I would be a nervous scared wreck and my dog would certainly not be alive! So, if you see this review Vet Neuro (Dr Knowles and your wonderful support staff).......Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!

UPDATE: I just called for medication refills. They have been great with refills. Unfortunately, this time I was told that the doctor needs to see my cat before the end of the year if I want additional refills after this time. I asked if they are allowing pet owners in with their pets yet and I was told “ No, we are still following the CDC guidelines. “ My initial thought was, does the CDC have a separate set of guidelines for VNC? I work at a hospital and I’m aware of what the CDC guidelines are. This is very disappointing. Fortunately, my general vet will see me and my cat for refills. I will bring her to VNC only if her neurological issues surface again or when they decide to let pet owners back in. Jury’s still out. I’ve never met the Dr. in person, only on Zoom from my car while in the parking lot. I’ve never witnessed an exam of my cat even though I’ve asked several times to be part of the exam via Zoom since they clearly have this capability. She’s had 3 or 4 visits so far. One visit was so short I’m not 100% she was even examined. They do an okay job caring for Pearl over the phone. I call and leave a message, someone calls back, I tell the them what’s going on, a day or two or three or four someone calls back after they have discussed my concerns with the Dr. Sometimes all my concerns are addressed sometimes not. I need to get better at making sure all my questions are answered. I feel that if your animal is in need of a neurologist this office should be better at allowing the pet owner to be part of their appointments.

My sister brought her dog here; I just tagged along. We couldn't go inside with the dog, but the staff did provide her an IPAD to communicate with the doctor. The staff who did come outside and interact with us were very professional, friendly, and kind.

Dr. Knowles was a wonderful blend of being educational and personable. I have a quirky greyhound experiencing some pain and I appreciated her thoroughness with the exam, the care she showed my pup, and the time she took discussing results with me and answering my questions. While I hope nobody ever needs a neurologist for their pet (the cost was hard to swallow on its own), I would highly recommend VetNeuro. Everyone was wonderful and I could tell they truly care about the pets and people they serve.

When we took our Dachsund here she was essentially paralyzed and I was quite sure we were going to have to put her down. After a stay at Vet Nuero and some rest and rehab at home she is on her way back to a normal life. If you are in Greater Phoenix and have an animal with back problems there is no better place to go.

I’ve had dogs all my life but never experienced one with back problems. Poor thing would just stand (felt better than laying down) or slowly pace while shivering and staring at us. A help me kind of look. We had no idea what was wrong with him and since dogs aren’t always the best communicators it took about a week and 2-3 local vet appointments to diagnose. We live in Prescott which is a smallish and isolated place about 2 hrs n of Phoenix. The local vet did not refer me to this group but I did my own research and thought it would be nuts to take him to the recommended general veterinary surgeon and not to this place. I had to be pretty proactive bc this practice wants vetinary referrals not self referrals. I ended up paying for an extra appt at the local vet to arrange this. My pup was in so much pain in the meantime and there wasn’t much we could do. Anyway, obviously we drove to Phoenix to bring him to this facility and I’m so glad we did. It was very expensive but there was a lot involved in his diagnosis, surgery and recovery. And most of all it was successful. Annnnd we liked them so much we were back 3 months later for a problem w another vertebrae. My husband is hoping dogs only have 2. But without surgical intervention we would have had to put him down. He’s only 6 so we didn’t hesitate. Evidently our situation, where 2 vertebrae had problems is very rare. Fingers crossed 3 times would be impossible.

In October 2019 I took my 12yr old Shih-poo here due to him having a possible slipped disc. I was very worried about him considering that he was the only dog I had ever known and the doctors here were EXTREMELY knowledgeable and seemed like they genuinely cared about my pup. They were very calming and really did help relieve my stress, they took an MRI and shows us his x-ray to see what was really wrong and it was a bulging disc., they gave us recommendations on what to do and it all worked. My pup ended up getting MUCH better. Unfortunately, in June of 2020, he passed away of other unexpected health complications but I am glad that he was able to live the rest of his life with a good back.

Did a lot of online research before taking our little fluff in. Staff was fantastic, vet was informative and helpful. We were charged less then expected for services compared to online averages.

Wow!!! After attempting to see a neurologist in Vegas, I couldn't wait 2 months, so I was referred here. We drove 5 hours and it was totally worth it! Dr. Plummer took the time to talk with us and showed a genuine concern for our baby. He made us feel like our dog was his, making us feel very comfortable with whatever the outcome would be. He treated our baby like a true hero for animals would:) After picking up our baby, his staff called us the next day to follow up. I would recommend this place to anyone who questions whether they should make an appointment here. They genuinely care and it shows!!! We will be making the trip if needed again. Thank you VNC for making us feel welcome and for responding to all of our concerns. Other clinics show follow your example :)

Dr. Plummer and the staff saved my Gracie's life. I cannot express my gratitude or recommend this place enough. I thought my girl was going to lose her life. Brain swelling had caused a huge seizure. I made an appointment, but shortly after she had a horrible seizure and they took her in right away. They were kind and concerned and she had a shadow on her brain. Dr. Plummer was very comforting and explained everything. He ran another Valley Fever test which came back positive. We practiced the protocol and used the meds.prescribed and she is in great spirits and health. They are truly life savers.
