My dog Lily is a "patient," and she had her first boarding experience this week while we were away on vacation. First, a family member dropped her off for me, which I thought may pose a challenge, but I was pleasantly surprised when the tech called me to confirm some details about my dogs feeding schedule and amount that I hadn't shared with my sister. This shows they really care about the welfare of their guests. When I picked her up they presented me with a report card that detailed my dogs visit, down to her bathroom habits. I am very happy with our Vet and their boarding. I'll definitely bring my dog back whenever I have a need.

I brought my dog in because she had a problem that was Inmediately diagnosed, instead of leaving it at that, there were unnecessary tests done, at the end they charged me for a whole package including tests that weren't done. When I asked for a refund for the test that wasn't done, the receptionist was rude and said to me they couldn't do it because it was a package price. I want to point out that no one there explained this to me.

I want to start with a positive and say Dr. Gulley is really great. She has always treated myself and my animals with the utmost care and respect. She almost makes it worth it to deal with the clinic's terrible front desk staff. Background: I have 2 dogs and 2 cats of varying ages. All but one were seen at previous vets before we moved here. Issue 1: The clinic NEVER entered my pets records into their system after me repeatedly asking them to do so, emailing records multiple times, and pointing out exactly where the data they needed was. Because the previous Vet sent records in time dated format and there were multiple pages, apparently they were too lazy to actually find and input the data required. This resulted in overdue vaccines and a major headache... Issue 2: The clinic has scheduled appointments, then somehow lost those appointments, and we've had to get the office manager involved to fix yet another problem ???? Issue 3: I noticed an abscess on my cats lower jaw on Saturday night. I called Sunday promptly at 10 to see when we could be seen. I was told their first available was next Saturday ????. When I asked if I could speak to the vet, I was told it's illegal for them to give advice without seeing the patient. Then told I could be put on cancellation list and call Monday AM to see if there was an opening. I called at 7:34 and was told their cancellations had been filled. When I pressed further, I was told they could consult the next Dr in at 9:30. Then after asking more questions about their cancellation process I was given a 3:30 for that day. Weird how that turned up? I immediately called FOOTHILLS ANIMAL HOSPITAL. I told them my cat had an abscess and that I wasn't a current patient but I was hoping they could help. They told me they haven't accepted new clients since February but Chris put me on hold for a moment and then came back and offered me a 9:45. ????????????. It's really sad when a clinic that hasn't even accepted new patients in months and doesn't know me from the next random person would care more for my baby than my current clinic who I've spent thousands at. Save yourselves the trouble... They might accept you as a new patient but they certainly won't care for you like an existing one. Get out as soon as possible.

We have nothing but praise for Family Vet Care, Dr. Travis Wodiske and all the staff who've helped us over the past few weeks. Our 14 year old dog was suffering from an ACL tear. Due to her age, we were initially met with a grim outlook on her recovery potential from the first clinic we saw. We were nervous about putting her under for surgery and what her quality of life could be post-injury. From our first consult, going to Family Vet Care was the best decision we've ever made for her. Dr. Wodiske gave us the reassurance that we direly needed to address her treatment and come up with a plan. He presented a more effective surgical treatment option at a lower cost than the previous clinic we saw. We were immediately setup with an appointment for surgery, a game plan for pre-surgery care, medicine and, for the first time since the injury, optimism for her future. We opted for the TTA surgery and it was completed without any issues. We were again given an extensive plan with all the information we needed for physical therapy, recovery expectations, and everything we'd need to know to get her back to full health. We were also checked up on regularly post-surgery. As of today, our dog is still healing but from the outside is a picture of health. She is happy and energetic like we haven't seen in months. For dog owners in a similar situation: We ended up going with TTA surgery, which was explained to us as a more modern and effective alternative to TPLO surgery. This was not the only effective option presented to us, and may not be the option recommended for every situation. Our surgery was booked about a month out from the first consult. All post-surgical costs (check ups, medication, etc) was paid for on the day of surgery and totaled at just over $4,000. No surprise costs or complications down the road. I would highly, highly suggest booking a consultation with Family Vet Care to anybody in our situation, and am so glad we did. Thank you again to Dr. Wodiske, all the staff we've worked with, and everybody at Family Vet Care. We'll definitely be 'patients' at this clinic for a long time to come and recommend them to anybody we know.

My cat, Riley, was treated like royalty while he was being repaired. So glad vet and assistant noticed my furball's gentle and sweet nature.

I love the team here. Everytime I take my cat in they are always very pleasant and polite. Their follow ups calls are tremendous, I honestly make them work harder unintentionally as they will call back untill I'm able to answer. That's customer service like I've never experienced. Dr Gulley is amazing, I trust her completely and know my cat is getting the best care and treatment there is with her and her team.

I took my cat here for the first time last week because she has a UTI. We know when she does because she has FLUTD and gets them quite often. Still, they charged me $135 to see her and prescribed medication, even though they weren't convinced she had one because her behavior didn't sound like she had a UTI. When her medicine started making her throw up up mentioned that to them. Got no call back, had to call again to ask if I could drop off a urine sample and they said sure. They didn't tell me until I got there that it would cost $91 to have it sent out for testing. $91!?! I do not know how they get away with charging people so much money for standard tests and treatment. Especially considering they wanted us to come back in to have her seen again after the urine test. So I can spend another $135!? I will be finding a new vet.

My rescue dog, medium terrier, is a sweet, loving dog - until you try to cut his nails. One groomer and two vets later I took him to Family VetCare. They accomplished the impossible- perfectly cut nails and a happy dog!! Very happy customer - I'll be switching over to them asap. Open 7 days a week, boarding, clean, extremely nice staff - met every check mark i had.

I recently changed Vets. A friend of mine recommended this office. I’m an elated and the professionalism the staff and the Vet offer. Our bulldogs are very stubborn but, they seem to be very sweet and loving to our babies. The fact that I can go in with our pups makes me so happy. They call to check on our pups. The hours are convenient because it’s difficult for me to take one let alone both by myself. Kudos to this practice!! ❤️❤️❤️

They were able to see us immediately even though we didn't have an appointment. They understood the pain we were in and gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye. Never once did they rush us even if they needed the room.

In my experience, this clinic is all about sales. I've taken my dog in for three separate issues and they push for unnecessary tests and they grossly overcharge for medication. Our first visit was for an abscess. I knew this is what it was because my dog had the same issue (in a different area) 2 months prior and it was treated at 1st Pet. The vet was "pretty sure" this was cancer and pushed for thousands of dollars in testing. I declined. They prescribed antibiotics and pain medication, and the abscess went away. The second visit was for a UTI. This vet pushed for a $200 urinalysis, saying "we *really* need to do the screening to find the cause." No we didn't - it was clearly a UTI. They prescribed antibiotics and the UTI cleared up. The third visit was for allergies. They prescribed OTC Zyrtec but we saw no changes over 2 weeks, so they prescribed an anti itch pill. This is when I learned that their medication is way overpriced. I paid $95 for pills I could've got online for $60. Know going in that they're going to push (hundreds or thousands of dollars' worth) of testing. And unless you need medication immediately, just get the prescription and buy it online.

I am very disappointed with this Vet Clinic. They did not even try to help before they were referring me to finance company and emergency. I did a lot of research before calling and the solution for my dog is very straight forward. This vet left a bad taste in my mouth about what my experience is going to be out there. They just want the money. I am very disappointed!

I ???? Family Vet Care! Thank you so much for your kindness and expertise during every visit with my first dog, Gigi. I brought her thereover 13 years for everything from regular visits to dental cleanings to boarding, even years ago when the was a groomer- such a sweet lady! I just brought my 2 year old rescue, Zack, for his first visit. Still so professional and caring. Thanks to all the doctors, technicians and receptionists!
