I have had a relationship with Blue Cross Vet Clinic since 1990 when I got my first puppy. And now my 2 current pups have just turned 13. I use their medical services, boarding and grooming. I am very satisfied and know my pets get the best care. I recommend Blue Cross to everyone.

We came in today, Saturday 13 November 2021, with our 35 pound dog for an emergency visit. Before arriving we informed the personnel working that our dog was very skittish and that the vet (Dr. Ryan) had previously given us a sedative for the next time we brought her into the office. We asked if we should give our dog the sedative that was given to us and we were told not to do so. After arriving and waiting in the examination room for over 30 minutes, while dogs are barking everywhere, loud sounds are happening all around, and our dog is becoming more and more scared by the minute, the SAME EXACT VET that originally examined our dog and which gave us the sedative in the first place, bursts into the examination room without warning, no knocking, no speaking through the door, nothing, and then proceeds to get angry with us and our dog because our dog starts barking and charges at the door that she entered through. This was HIGHLY unprofessional and being a veterinarian seemed to display a lack of having any idea of what she was doing. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE. Not once did this vet apologize for HER mistake and continued to put the blame on us for what SHE did. I am flabbergasted that Dr. Ryan has been able to keep her position and the managers of this office have not had previous complaints, nor fired Dr. Ryan from her position. Not only did Dr. Ryan do everything that I just mentioned above, but in addition, she proceeded to go into the back and bad mouth my girlfriend, my dog, and myself! I honestly cannot believe a business in Scottsdale, Arizona is being conducted in this manner. This is NOT ACCEPTABLE and I WILL NOT LET THIS SLIDE AND LET THIS VET GET AWAY WITH TREATING THE ANIMALS IN IT’S CARE OR IT’S CUSTOMERS IN THIS MANNER!!!! EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN THIS OFFICE COULD OVERHEAR WHAT THIS VET WAS SAYING ABOUT US!!! AGAIN, WE NEVER RECEIVED A SINGLE APOLOGY!! I AM MORE THAN BLOWN AWAY AND HONESTLY JUST CANNOT BELIEVE THERE IS A VET’S OFFICE IN SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA THAT CONDUCTS BUSINESS IN THIS MANNER!! The only thing this business can do to improve is to replace Dr. Ryan, which was on duty this morning and I can ensure you I will be following up with the office manager that something has been done to rectify this situation.

Love Dr Knerr and Dr. Peter. They are empathetic and understanding in care of our fur babies. ❤

Pretty outrageous "no call no show" policy. Trying to charge me $120 in no shows even though we rescheduled and paid for services, and they are trying to say they scheduled a check up 30 days after we were there and are charging us for that. They didn't even have the correct phone # on file No email reminder or anything. They are trying to claim I was told 13 months ago of said charge policy. Unbelievable! If you are going to be this militant about your policy perhaps send an e-mail if you don't get a phone answer.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Blue Cross and Dr. Ryan. Dr. Ryan has been my vet for a few years now. One of my dogs recently had a pretty scary health episode, and Dr. Ryan was great from the very first appointment. Dr. Ryan is very caring, nice and professional. She would even call me in the evening to discuss my dog's health and came up with a great treatment plan for her. I felt so safe with the staff at Blue Cross. The vet techs even remember my dog's name and have always been very nice! Thank you Blue Cross and Dr. Ryan for everything! I've seen other vets here too for other ailments my dogs have had, and they've been great too. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone.

Just moved to Phoenix and established care at this clinic. I loved our new vet, Dr. Bennett. She was very knowledgeable. Edit: I took my dog to their on-site groomer, Christina, today. She did an incredible job. I had a very specific look that I wanted for my doodle, and she nailed it.

The doctors and staff here are great! Very friendly and helpful. We saw Dr. Ryan today for our 15-year-old cats UTI. Dr. Ryan took her time and answered all our questions and gave us great advice! So happy to have such great vets!

Really friendly staff. They've been the best vet in the valley for the few years I've spent in Phoenix.

SAFE & CARING!!! Love the level of care and knowledge they bring without being pushy or condescending. My family and pets felt safe to bring them in especially with all of this COVID uncertainty.

I brought my cat in to be treated for a medical emergency. They left him in a cage for hours, untreated and suffering. I kept calling to check on him and they blew me off. I finally came and picked him up to take him to another emergency vet. I will never go back there again.

Disappointing. We asked for a paw print from our cat, we took her here for the cremation process. We did not ask at the time, and we were told that we had until Monday, we dropped her off Friday, to change our minds. We did change our minds, we left voice mails, and a note on the door over the weekend. We never received a paw print, or contact back. Very DISAPPOINTED with "follow through" from the staff here. We MAY take our other animals here for care. I will never trust them to follow up on anything ever again. I would have liked starting the tradition of paw prints for our animals with my family, now that it's been stomped on with a big giant "oops fell through the cracks" I don't have a warm fuzzy feeling, nor do I feel confident in it's efficiency and/or follow through.

Questionable care. My cat was 12 years old and having a trouble with his mouth. Vet recomended having most of his teeth pulled, which was incredibly hard on him and eventually, after numerous visits, he withered away and had to be put down (different Vet) to end his inability to eat and agonizing pain. Staff was professional and caring.

Dr. James was extremely thorough with her examination. Everybody is extremely helpful and care. It was the first time I had been there and I am so happy I found out about them.????

I had to find a new vet during covid quarantine (my vet returned to Canada) and my 16 Mo old Aussie needed his 1st round of "adult" vaccines including rabies, so I could not postpone any longer. I am one of those mom's (overprotective) but my friend takes her pets and his brother there so I had to be brave and trust "strangers". They were fantastic. Not only did Tailor flirt with all the staff, he was a perfect pup and had no problem with strangers loving on him (all our training paid off whew). They fully exceeded my expectations with 3 year vaccines series so we don't have to go back next year but will for the check up. I was so pleased with them I will be taking Stetson, my 6yo Aussie in in July for his exam and vaccines. I really liked the fact that they do 3 yr vaccines instead of just 1 yr. I am very thankful for their care and their outstanding reputation is definitely accurate. It's never easy switching doctors (or vet's) but this is one change I feel very comfortable with.

I took my cat in to get a glucose test to determine if his insulin should be increased; he is still drinking and eating excessively. The vet insisted that she thought he might have a kidney problem which surprised me because his kidneys had been tested a few months before, which this vet seemed unaware of but the assistant confirmed that his kidneys had been tested and it had been determined that they were fine. The vet stated again that she felt there might be a problem with them and also was concerned that his breathing seemed fast. She wanted to do some tests and take X-rays. The additional testing and X-rays revealed no underlying problems evidently. She didn't discuss any problems revealed by the tests with me other than to show me the X-rays and didn't advise me on his glucose levels other than to say she had seen much higher levels. I left with a $437 bill and my question on his diabetes not really discussed. I feel scammed and will never return.

As always Blue Cross is Awesome!!! Everyone is friendly! You do need to wear a mask (I have no problem with that!) They even check you out in the exam room once you are done! I like that, that way you aren't having to move your pet multiple times. Great visit, as Always!! Dr. Peter is The Best and so is the Staff of Blue Cross!!! Thank you All!!!
