Great experience. A lot of other places were booked and I needed immediate assistance with my cat. The ability to do a walk-in really helped and the staff was super informative. I especially like the vet. He was very straightforward with me and saved me money.

We have two 6 pound shih tzu’s who both needed extensive dental work done. The staff and the doctors were not only knowledgeable and professional, but also very caring. The results are two happy and healthy dogs again. We would highly recommend this clinic!

They were very friendly and filled me on on what was good for my dog and what to stay away from so they were as honest as they could have been and the prices were very reasonable which makes a huge difference to people like me that's on a fixed income. Thank you and I look forward to seeing the hospital in 3 more weeks. Oh walk in are only 8am-10 am and again from 1:00 pm-4:00 pm just wanted ppl to know because I didn't know and had to go back at 1:00 pm

Went to get my dog's nails trimmed. They were very accommodating and took us in as waik-ins. The staff was very kind and soothing to Chino. He got his nails trimmed without much stress. We will return to Catalina..

The practice can get quite busy at times, but they try hard to meet everyone's needs and triage as needed. Dr Neil Farrington is professional and kind. He is honest and doesn't try to talk you into unnecessary procedures. He tries to be adorable, he takes wake in only, but sometimes good to call make sure not full to capacity.

I had to have my dog euthanized. They were kind and caring . They gave us time and the ability to stay with her . My girl knew I was with her as she passed . Their kindness was greatly appreciated. I will bring my other dog here for care as well.

My Rotti had to have her toe amputated. The staff were all nice and helpful. The treatment and prices were discussed before hand. They took good care of my pup, and the overall process was smooth.

I just got home from my visit to Catalina Animal hospital. I am SO GRATEFUL for them today. My poor kitty was not feeling well & I needed help right away. I had called a dozen Vets around town btwn yesterday and today, everyone was booked out at least two weeks, not taking new patients or had a 4 to 5 hr wait at the 24hr clinic (& had seriously bad reviews). I drove up, got in very quickly. I was able to go in with my cat & be with her the whole time. Everyone was super nice, the doctor was wonderful, he explained everything, listened kindly, made suggestions & walked me through the Xrays. We were in & out within an hr or so. Their prices were reasonable, the office was nice and clean, & the outcome was worth the drive, for my peace of mind. They are my new "secret gem". I will definitely be keeping them in my contacts. Thanks for a fantastic experience.

The staff was kind and compassionate when we had to put our 17 year old cat to sleep. They explained everything and gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye, and there were 4 of us.

Been bringing my critters here for about 2 years. Very impressed by both staff & Doctors. Friendly and cheerful, but still professional; Drs. are thorough, informative and understanding. Walk in only, but full service. Prices seemed to be comparable or better. My neighbor comes here too. Definitely recommend.

People in Phoenix and the surrounding area, this is the place to bring your pet. You will get the Best care by this older doctor with years of experience and kindness. He saved my Onyx Boy, he has bad arthritis and a Heart Murmur, put him on joint powder & low pain Medication, he was up and running in 2 days. I ???? this Doctor, great Job.

Felt more like we were buying a used car with their top salesman. Right away it was about the price. We explained our dog just gave out while on a walk. Being pet owners who dont know whats wrong with their pet your pretty much at their mercy and vulnerable. The vet did not check his hips, his eyes., his nose, his throat his weight or his ears but guessed at what possibly could be wrong. Spleen, liver. Cancer, etc. He then said itd be $1000 to maybe find out however they are not equipped to do much else and this was only step one of many more to come, reffering us to a real pet hospital that would cost about $3000 more. Still no guarantees whats wrong and we had one day to decide. The normal vet he said was not in but when the door opened we saw him. Needless to say wewerent too happy with the bs. How is this place called a hospital? No we will not return we prefer vets with care and compassion this place had neither

Rated the lowest possible after this businesses' reply. Edit #3 because.... WOW... To reply to the "owner" There was never a "misunderstanding" I think I was very clear in my post. Not once did I ask for heroics, ( I seriously can not believe that you made the decision to not only reply to my updated review but that this is how you chose to respond! Way to prove my point about your lack of compassion ????) I KNEW MY DOG... MY BEST FRIEND OF 14 YRS WAS DYING. YOU. YOUR BUSINESS wouldn't even help him pass after us being loyal to you. I will tell anyone who asks or will listen NOT TO EVER USE YOU. I took him to strangers and they were more compassionate and accommodatimg than you have EVER been. Even now, when you could have just been apologetic you made the decision to reply to my review and try and justify it. Let me give you a piece of advice...It's bad business to argue with customers. Once again you've made it clear, you're not half the man Dr. Hunt was and you could care less about the animals you see. EDIT: 14 years I have been coming to Catalina AH, started when they were back at 51st ave and Thomas. NEVER again will I bring a pet or give them a recommendation. Besides once or twice due to outside circumstances this was the only vet my Niko went to. We saw Dr Farmington 6 weeks prior to my final interaction with this business, because don't get it twisted, that's all this is to Dr. Farrington and his wife. Maybe the Dr. Did care at some point, but she definitely does not. My Chi's heart murmmer had progressed into heart failure, no fault of anyone it was inevitable given his circumstances. I relied on Dr. F. To help guide me in the right direction, I didn't want to loose my best friend, but I didn't want to keep him around for selfish reasons if I should make the decision that every pet owner fears. He was very upfront with me and understanding which is why I still left 2 stars. We were very clear my dog was a hospice patient at this point. But I decided to at least give him a chance I couldn't not do that. So we changed his medications and he did bounce back for about 4 weeks, but his little body couldn't do it anymore. It progressed fast. Within hrs. His lungs were filling with fluid and he suddenly couldn't stop coughing let alone catch his breath. I sat up with him all night and we got to Dr. F. As soon as we could. We've moved recently and are about an hr away if traffic is nice. Let me make it clear, I KNOW ITS WALK IN ONLY. Were no one special so I'd never expect special treatment... but as my dog is lying in my arms in the car LITERALLY DYING his wife at reception looks at me when I walked in and just said "NO WE FULL" I get it, I do but were talking end of life here for a major member of our family, and this is the only doc he knows. ANY OF THE TECHS OR THE DR KNOW WHO NIKO IS Just by name. 14 YEARS IS A LONG TIME. So I walk up to the desk and say yes I saw your sign, but my dog, Niko, *stares at me blankey" isn't going to make it I tell her. And she basically shrugged her shoulders at me. So I continued on, we were just here a few weeks ago and he's in heart failure and not going to make it much longer. "NO AGAIN WE FULL" she cuts me off. Sorry she says you can come back at 1 but remember we fill up fast" And I was dismissed that was the end of the story for her. WERE TALKING END OF LIFE HERE AND THEY COULD CARE LESS. In the end I'm greatful. We found the most wonderful compassionate veterinary office who I will forever be indebited too. They were booked solid and worked us in given his condition. It's never going to be easy but they were the absolute best in this situation. I'd highly suggest you think about using Agua Fria, or at the very least someone other than Catalina, they no longer have the best prices and unlike his predecessor Dr Farrington, does not care for his patients the way Dr. Hunt did.
