Believe the other reviews that say don't go here. I ignored the reviews because I wanted to get my dog in to see a vet ASAP. Big mistake. $900 later and zero communication and no results...What a nightmare.

********PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE READ*********** THEY MUTILATED OUR FAMILY DOG!!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE !!! BECAUSE OF THEIR MALPRACTICE WE ARE FORCED TO PUT HER DOWN. THEY RUINED HER QUALITY OF LIFE WHEN SHE HAD SO MUCH MORE TIME TO LIVE. ALSO THEY ARE NOT TAKING ACCOUNTABILITY WHICH IS DISGUSTING TO ME!!!!!!! THEY USED A HEATING PAD DURING A MOUTH PROCEDURE AND COMPLETELY BURNED HER ENTIRE BACK!!!! YOU GUYS WILL TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY ONE WAY OR ANOTHER AND WE’LL MAKE SURE OF IT. A SORRY EXCUSE FOR A VET IF IVE EVER SEEN ONE.

This place put my dog on a heating pad while she was under anesthesia for a tooth extraction. Now they claim the pad “may have been too hot”. LOOK AT THIS PHOTO!!!!! This is malpractice and absolutely devastating.

I honestly don’t know if I’ll be taking my dog back here again. Friendly staff, but that doesn’t make up for the few mistakes taken place here. They kept calling me when I told over and over to call the secondary number because I was in an area with no service. They kept stating he was lost, after we corrected them saying he was never lost and to take that off the record because they could of been mistaken him for another dog. They never called us back with the result of his blood work. We had to call back after not hearing from them for a week and a half. And lastly they never let us know when he was ready for pickup. We called an hr before they closed asking if he was ready (mind you we brought him in the morning) and they said yeah he’s ready. No call or anything informing us of this. And lastly, no checkup call to see how he was doing afterwards.

Even though the people who works there are very sweet and attentive, the service of the Vet is far from great. Even if you do an appointment you have to wait a couple of hours to be attended. The hours of operation start at 9am but the Vet. doesn't get there until 10:30am. If they do test that are 24hr they don't call or give you the results until days later. Talking from personal experience, I had 2 dogs, one of them was a emergency case and not only they charge $64.00 if you don't make an appointment (which doesn't work cause they still make you wait), they ran some test to know what was wrong with him and it took 24hrs to be back. But, the next day my dog got worst and I had to take him to the hospital because the vet wasn't open. When I got there, they right away treat him and requested the result to Camelback Animal Clinic, however the Vet didn't call me until 3 days later to let me know what the results were. Fast forward a week later, took my other dog, and lord behold same thing happened. I did the test and eventhough the results were available the next day, the vet never called me back. So again, I requested them and went to a different vet. In short, they only care about taking your money (which believe me this clinic tries to find the way to charge you over $300.00 each visit with all the add-ons). So if you can avoid it do NOT go here!

Don’t take your pet here, they just want your money. They are unorganized and overcharge. First, I dropped my cat off at 4. She was there 3 hours just for an examine. I was told an hour, after an hour and a half I called and was told 30 more minutes. I didn’t get a call to pick her up until right before 7. They also tried to add on a bunch of things that she wasn’t there for to rack up the bill. When I came to pick up my cat, the girl comes out with no bill, no paperwork, just gave me a total. I had to ask for paperwork and 3 times for a prescription. They also are not AAHA accredited. I only took my cat here cause there were referred by a neighbor. I should have listened to the reviews. I also called around to a couple other vets for the blood test my cat needs. This place is charging over $200 more than other vets who are accredited. This was my first time at this vet, my pet will not be back.

I absolutely love love this place and the doctor and its staff, I just really hate the fact that you have to sit outside.

Annoyed they still are doing curbside. Thought I might have to put my dog down and was stuck sitting in my truck, bawling my eyes out, not knowing what was going on. She had pancreatitis and is fine now. I feel that this is not good for customers and their pets.

BEWARE! They tried to push a lot of extra, unessential treatments. They didn't communicate what was most important or why we should or shouldn't do each treatment. In the end, it just felt like they were trying to sell us as much as they could; more than giving us options of care or educating us. There was also poor communication: at first, we weren't allowed in with our dog, and then we had to wait 20 minutes to see the doctor and another 30 minutes after the exam, just sitting alone in the room. I'm only giving them two stars because they were able to take our newly adopted dog quickly.

Pushed unrelated tests, gave inadequate diagnosis, waited 4 hours to get our dog back. They gave no time frame expectation. Would not recommend at all.

We showed up on time for our dogs 430 appointment for a Bordetella vaccine and wellness exam. Due to Covid you have to wait in the car while your dog is inside, common and acceptable. However, an hour and 45 mins later still waiting in the car no update. At this point we go to the door and are told our dog will be out soon. 30 more minutes go by. Nothing. Go to the door again, we are told the doctor would talk to us soon. Ask again, a young man who actually seemed to care and definitely deserves to work at a higher quality vet clinic. He stated he was sorry and dog still wasn’t ready and did not have anything completed yet. We finally had an update from the tech and he tells us it will be another half an hour, at which point we were already late to other obligations so we took our dog and got nothing accomplished here in the end. No exam, no bordetella. All we needed was a little communication. We sat in the parking lot for just over 2.5 hours with the car running…. for nothing. We would not recommend this place or will we ever return! Very poor management.

This office was AMAZING! They allowed us to bring our puppy in last minute even when they were booked up. They stayed late 2 nights in a row to help our puppy. They took the time to explain everything in depth. I could tell our puppies health was a big concern and priority for them. They never made me feel taken advantage of as some do. I truly felt they went above and beyond. You can see the love and compassion they have for animals. Not just money. I 10000% recommend this place!

Unprofessional, disrecpect, and greediness at its worst. They refused to work with an outside pharmacy so they could overcharge an exorbitant price for my little one medication. You will have to wait for hours outside unless you call them to follow up on your loved one appointment. I would not take my little one to them even if it was the last vet on earth.

I would not take my furry babies to those scammers. They will try to upsell you on anything that you don't need and some of us are not knowlegeable and that's how these people take advantage of us. Not to mention that anything they sell is markep up so they can and will make a huge profit. For instance, anyibiotics that are$25 at petsmeds, they will charge you $125 and they flat out refuse to work with others pharmacy to benefit the patients. I would stay as far away as possible. You have been warned.

Dr. Cruz is extremely knowledgeable, caring, efficient and fair. Staff are a fibe tuned machine. He's called me directly at night to check on the health of my dog.

If you’re considering coming here DO NOT. I should of read reviews before, ALL this place cares about is MONEY. They push services like you’re in a car dealership, I rejected a couple things on a $400 bill I got from the doctor. After I had a conversation for results of one of my dogs test, he told me basically nothing after I brought in my pup for an emergency checkup. Treated me disrespectfully saying “if you did not understand what I just said google it” and basically neglected telling me HOW MY DOG IS, after I payed a $250 bill. He was SO rude, SO unprofessional & SO pushy with their services. I will DEFINITELY NOT be coming here SAVE YOUR ANIMALS go somewhere else!!

What a great experience. I volunteer in rescue and tend to be pretty picky about who handles my dog, and how he is treated. I am super impressed with Dr. Cruise. This has to be the first time I have had a vet actually talked through all of the observations and suggestions without being in a rush. I felt like he actually cared about my dog, and gave me the full picture that any parent would want to know. They gave me options and I never felt pressured to chose anything. Linus came home smelling like perfume, so someone must have been cuddling with him too :) My little guy is almost 13 and so many things pop up with old age, so having a vet who took the time to really look at things and explain is so important to me. I should also note the suggestions and the prices seemed super fair. Thanks for a great experience with your clinic!

I wouldn't let these people touch my pet. Mine was with them for five minutes to get her 2nd set of shots and they said I needed to leave her for at least an hour. I said she would wait in the car with me until the Dr. could see her. They said she had a probable ear infection and brought out a $236 estimate to sign before they continued. IT was a tiny spec of dirt. THIS is a scam. Upselling con men. I had nothing done and went to Arcadia Animal Clinic.

They kept pushing services , felt like I was dealing with a used car salesman , I was told 40min-1hr possibly more, it was 3hrs later and they tell me my pup was ready, but that was 3hrs of no call of any sorts, I get because of the pandemic we have to leave our family member behind and alone, then why set up appointments, just say we’ll get to your family member when we can, and when I show up the parking lot is full.. which I’m only guessing they called everyone back at one time to come get there family members from them, ducey lifted restrictions, they need to adhere to there appointment time and if possible let people in with there family member.. I’m not going back .. just disappointed with the experience

I took my dog in for what I thought was a possible uti or some kind of bladder infection. They charged me almost $200 for medicines she didn’t need because it was her period. When I called for them wrongfully diagnosing my dog and giving her medicine she did not need, they acted like it was no big deal. What kind of vet can’t tell the difference between a dogs period and a infection.

I brought my cat Artemis in for a check-up on Friday, March 26th. Upon arrival, I gave them a call and Vicki promptly came out to bring my cat inside. Due to COVID, they're not letting anyone inside except their staff. It was a quick and easy process dropping my pet off. Vicki said it would take approximately 45 minutes or so for the check up, then I'd get a call from a vet technician who would give me a run down of everything done during the visit and provide costs followed by another call from the vetenarian with his findings and suggested next steps. After 45 minutes, I received a call from the vet technician with a status update and costs for everything. The vetenarian was in surgery so it would be some time before I would hear back from him directly. A couple hours went by before I received the call which I didn't mind since I had some errands to run. Dr. Cruz gave me a call with a run down of the visit along with his suggestions to best assist my cat into better health. Dr. Cruz and his staff take pride in their work; providing excellent care and customer service for my 9 year old cat who has been experiencing stress due to our recent move and dandruff. They addressed the issues and even brought up issues not previously mentioned by the last vet prior to moving to Phoenix. This was my first visit to Camelback Animal Hospital and I would gladly bring my cat there again for her healthcare needs. A big thank you to Dr. Cruz and his great staff!

Been here for my dog a couple times & only one of the techs was really nice. The Dr. tried pushing me into things I didn’t want to pay for. The service was extremely slow and they refused to refill allergy medication after he had already been seen. Terrible terrible service & the place is run down. Blue cross vet is close to this one and has way better customer service, prices and atmosphere. Also they’re better with your animals. My girlfriend also went here and waited 2 hours for an allergy prescription refill for her dog and to get her dog back after she repeatedly told them she needed to leave after 2 hours. All the other vets near here have better ratings. Trust it.

Called in to get pricing for a simple treatment for my dog and the vet went right in to high pressure sales for things that weren't immediately needed or needed at all. Just kept trying to rack that bill up. Recommendations are fine, but trying to convince me to take my bill from $300 to over $2k by telling me all the ways my dog could die if I don't do it? No. Very unprofessional.

We had a suddenly sick kitten and our regular vets couldn’t see her and it was almost five pm. I called 4 other vets and the emergency vet was a 2hr wait. I called Camelback animal hospital and they got me right in! Affordable and friendly. Tigerlily is ok thankfully and she has her very own ‘ Kitty Doctor’ ! Great staff and Great Vet. I’m super satisfied with their quick service! Tigerlily is home and already back to her cute purring little kitten self!
