The staff was very caring. I had to put my dog down and they were very respectful and caring. I even got a card about a week later from them with my dogs foot print it was very sweet. I believe my dog went out peaceful with their help.

I originally went to Bark Ave to see if they had the brand of cat food that I normally buy but hadn’t been able to find in AZ since moving. Unfortunately they didn’t carry it but they did offer to special order it for me which was wonderful! I was able to pick it up in just a few days once they got their shipment. While I was there, I noticed the pet hospital and grooming area so I went over to check it out. The receptionist was very kind and even gave me an approximate quote on some of the services I inquired about. I then set an appointment for a consultation and bloodwork since it was time for my dogs dental cleaning. I met with Dr Brown and Rafael who were both so kind and knowledgeable. Later that day I got a call from Dr Brown that his blood work was good and we were good to go for his dental the next morning. I was kept up to date on his progress throughout the day and his teeth and breath were 100% better when he left! A little bit after that I brought my other dog in to see Dr. Ainsworth (who they were able to see as a same day appointment which is extremely accommodating and convenient) and he was also very professional and knowledgeable. He made sure to get back to me regarding test results and check on my dogs progress. I highly recommend this vet office and pet supply store. I haven’t had an experience with grooming or daycare/boarding but I’ve seen several happy clients and doggos going in and out of the area so I’m sure they’re wonderful as well!

UPDATE: I brought our dog back in for an assessment, he received additional medications and we have instructions to work to get his swelling and pain under control. I really appreciated the time the practice manager, Joe, took out of his day to discuss with me in person the issues experienced with the office. He was very apologetic and made me feel confident that positive changes are in process and work is being done so that these issues do not happen again. We should have been referred to their sister hospital, Noe's Ark, and we now know that is an option should anything else come up with our dog. I'm sitting here trying to figure out how a vet office, with business hours until 7pm, doesn't have a vet on site during those hours? My dog had surgery on Monday, it took all day yesterday to get a call back for concerns about his pain and medication. Then today his incision area became incredibly swollen and red, along with blood dripping from the incision. It looks as though the swelling popped a few stitches. I call the office at 5:30 only to be told there is no vet there today and that "they have lives too" and to clean it up and come in at TEN tomorrow. No care, no sense of urgency, and smart responses from the front desk. Unprofessional doesn't even describe this interaction. My husband is now on his way to an emergency vet since his own vet can't be bothered during normal business hours. I've had a good experience so far with Dr. Ainsworth in regards to my other dog, but the other doctor and this front desk are something else. Had I known that this is how this practice is run and there would be zero post-surgery care or availability during normal hours for any issues, I would haver NEVER brought my babies here. Unbelievable.

I recently moved to AZ and needed to find a hospital to take my Mom's cat who is very very old. The team at Bark Ave were professional and compassionate when we made the difficult choice to put her 19year old to sleep. I will be bringing my pets here also because they really care and we felt it!

Friendly staff and doctors. We have several fur babies and prefer a Naturopathic approach, which they offer. Thank you for taking care of our furry kids ❤️

Update.... never did hear from the company. I would like to start off by saying my first visit to this place was prior to COVID. I left there happy and satisfied with the dr and quality. However, since COVID it has been a nightmare. I tried to be patient with every appointment and phone call as this situation is and was new to everyone. But Over the weekend i experienced my worst visit. I brought my cat in to be euthanized. Long story short we sat in the truck and waited for 50 min to go into a back room to say bye to the cat as we wanted to be present for the procedure. They apparently had to sedate him (which was weird because he was there a couple weeks prior and had some blood work done amongst other things with no issues) anyways ok so they had to sedate him but we were told he would just be sleepy but still coherent and that as soon as they got him all set up they would come get us. 50 minutes go by and they come out and get us. The girl was very apologetic about it taking so long. But at this point i am so sad and so angry. We get into the room and my cat is basically already gone. Absolutely no movement, eyes wide open with no blinking not even on contact, fecal matter that was cleaned up but still present on his bottom half. I was so upset. We said are good byes for whatever it was worth at that point. Then we rang the bell for them to come in to do the procedure but the assistant came in and said that the doctor is in with a patient so it’s going to be a little bit. That’s where I drew the line. First of all there is no clients allowed in the building. Only patients. I had an appointment just like everyone else and you want me to wait longer with something like this. Everything was completely unprofessional and a situation that is already sad turned into something it never should have. I am not happy. I hope they can learn from this. It was a sad day.

I have been taking my animals to this vet since I moved to the area in 2018. I always have had good experiences up until lately. The practice has gone down hill severely. I would not recommend this business to anyone I know. There prices have gone way up, and their service way down.

Bark Avenue continues to be the ONLY veterinary clinic I trust. From diagnosis to treatment, I know the vets have one thing in mind: giving your pet the best care - with a large dose of love and compassion!

If you've ever had a bad experience at a veterinary hospital or clinic because the staff people were apathetic or impatient or even rude toward you or your somewhat fuzzier, possibly sick or injured friend that you'd brought to see the doctor, then make Bark Avenue the very next place you bring any of your ailing non-human family members. We've brought three of ours here at this point, and every time we've experienced nothing but kindness, patience and understanding from every person with whom we've interacted. Our recent visit was a bit different than our previous times due to following pandemic protocol, but they got us taken care of quickly and did a great job of treating our kitty for a few injuries she earned by defending her food dish from an obnoxious and very persistent alley cat that just was NOT getting the message that he welcome. The very first time we came here was a few years ago when our Rottie/Aussie Shepherd mix was suffering from what we thought might be some type of food-borne illness. As it turns out, our poor Chlöe was in the final stages of bone cancer, which all too quickly took away any decent quality of life from her. The best action we could take to help her would be to euthanize. The procedure was entirely unique, at least to my experience, in that we were all given the option of staying right at Chlöe's side throughout the process. Bark Avenue has a special room where, if you choose to, you and your family can sit with and offer gentle comfort to your dog friend as he/she quietly passes. That's a really cool thing to have in place, and is a reflection of the genuine empathy and caring nature of the entire Bark Avenue staff. Thanks to all of them for being awesome!!

So many good vet facilities out there! Decided on Bark Avenue for multiple pet exams as a way to say thanks for their animal rescue donations in the past. I had high expectations from a facility named Bark Avenue, and I was not disappointed. Discount vet facilities often mean discount services, or no additional services available. At Bark Avenue, examinations were thorough, and options were presented without being pushy. Cost for procedures was competitive with other facilities when comparing apples to apples, or in this case service to service. Did not get to meet Dr. Brown, but after seeing the master craftmanship of her dental and surgical capabilities, I won't be shopping around for another vet for a while.

Angel never had a problem going to a vet before this place and now she can't stand going.... ALWAYS TRUST YOUR DOGS INSTINCTS!!! They are only concerned with how much money they can make off your love of your pets. Do they really care about your pets? No. The wellness only comes after money. All my dog needed is cytopoint injection for allergies. No need to pay extra to see the Dr or even a teeth specialists who charges doctor rates(this actually happened the last time I ever went here and I haven't been back since. My girlfriend has been bringing my dogs here for these injections since I refused to give them my money a year ago). They want us to pay extra for a wellness exam that we don't need. If they really cared about my dogs wellness then they why make us pay more for something we don't need and especially during these hard times of covid and neither of us working in months but they are sure to get their money if I want my dog to stop scratching and biting herself... Outrageous that they say they care about my dogs wellness... The fact is they only care about how much money they can make by doing the least amount possible and don't care if my dogs are suffering. THEY ACTUALLY CALLED AND CANCELLED THE APPOINTMENT FOR THE ALLERGY SHOT UNLESS WE PAID EXTRA FOR A WELLNESS EXAM! Do yourself and especially your animals a favor and go somewhere else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The receponist is the rudest person I've ever come across, Bailey was extremely unprofessional. I was really sad that Dr. Copper left, she was one of the few good vets. The prices changed ever time we went, the vet tech Kelly gave wrong information every time to help meet their profit needs. I would give zero stars if possible.

I am a regular client at Bark Avenue. Recently I found a stray dog. I brought her in and the staff scanned her, found a chip and with 20 minutes I reunited her with her owners! They were very helpful, professional, and dedicated to helping the community!

They are fantastic. Never tried to up sell anything that wasn't important. Treated my high anxiety senior dog so well that he didn't even freak out. This will be my clinic for the future.

I love this place! I was referred here because my dog has a knee issue, had a consult with both the regular doc and the surgeon . I appreciated their knowledge and professionalism so much so I have made them my regular vet for both my dogs. I highly recommend this place. I love in Chandler and it takes me 30 minutes to get there and it’s work it!!!
