Did not receive a call or text when my cat was done. Waited until 430. Went to office. What a mess! Boxes, stacks of old, obviously wet at one time, newspaper sales papers, front desk was a mess with stacks of paper. Girl couldn't tell me why I had not been called. My cat had been ready for an hour. Surgical site is clean, no obvious complications. Cat is doing well.

This was a great place for spaying and vaccines for my pup! St. Bernard costs were better than average cost elsewhere. and the care was excellent. I'm glad I chose this service provider.

It was an okay family orientated McDonald's the only problem we had is every time I go to that McDonald's people beg for change and so I got to take extra change cuz I hate being asked for money and I feel guilty not giving it to them so if they had security on premises would be awesome but right now it's four out of five stars

These people were super friendly and helpful through the process of getting our pets surgery done. It was personal my first time with getting my dog spayed and I had no idea what to expect. But they told me not to worry they would take good care. And when I came to pick my dogs up they were in good spirits and healthy. They make it super easy to get a cone and pain meds for them.

I scheduled this appointment 2 months ago, to get my 2 yr lab/pitbull/husky/German shepherd mix spayed. When scheduling the ask the usual questions of breed, age and weight(63 lbs). At that time, proceeded to book the appointment with everything ok. Day of the appointment, got her checked in and they took her back. Within 30 minutes of being at work, called me and declined my pet for the spay surgery because she was 4 lbs overweight. When I had to chance to call back with more information, I had to call 8 times to even get the receptionist. When I finally got someone, she told me again about me pet being overweight. I asked how much over and the girl told me, sorry she was 13 lbs over. Two completely different numbers? Was she 4 or 13? What's the point of asking weight, if you are going to decline the pet at first sight? And don't put pricing online per weight if that doesn't matter! Upon pick up they handed me a "Weight Loss Calculator" on how much she should eat and asked if I needed help to understand why. They also tried to tell me my pet was too anxious, and wanted to prescribe a pre-sedative before I schedule the appointment again in 3 to 4 weeks (assuming my pet would have lost the weight) but also never asked if she was on medication for it, which she is on medication for. She just wasn't dosed in the morning because she was going under anesthesia. Be cautious with this clinic if your pet is a little hefty, they will probably call your pet fat too and decline your pet, for any pets 50+ lbs. I will not be using them. Shame, because they came highly recommended from family and friends.

My experience with Altered tails so far is horrible. It is hard to contact them, They never answer their phone. And when you leave a voice mail they don't get back to you till days later if your lucky... Cause I had them not even contact me after leaving a voice mail. They have good reviews but with this experience I'm hesitant to leave my pets in their care.

I needed Miracle (dog) spayed, got her in about 7:30 and by 10:30 Altered Tails called to let me know Miracle was done and I could pick her up at 1:30. I can't say enough about how happy I am with them.

I took both my furbabies here for neutering. With Covid safety, the staff who came to vehicle to ask questions and to get my babies were very polite and understanding. When picking up my babies, the staff remembered that I was the mom to my babies without asking. I was very impressed. The gentleman who brought my babies out, was very informative on after care and things to watch for. He also handled my babies gently and comforting to me as a fur mom. Definitely recommend this business. Thanks for a great job

I’ve wrestled with this since October of 2020. I brought my female chihuahua in to be spayed. I chose to use altered tails after my male was neutered earlier last year. And had great results. However, when I took my female in. I did not have the same outcome. Immediately after getting her back, we could tell something was wrong. Before going in for surgery, she was in excellent health. Afterward, it was evident that something had gone wrong. When she was handed to us, we never received pain meds, as we did with our male. We were told that they did a three day time release injection. After we researched the medicine used, it stated clearly to not administer to an animal of her weight, they told us they chose to use it because of her weight. However, I believe they did it to try and cover up whatever malpractice occurred. Her and our male were the same weight. And he was sent home with three days of medicine. Immediately I was not happy with that. Considering I was never contacted and informed of this. Until I picked her up. Once I got her home. It just went downhill from there. I contacted them and asked if there was something wrong, because she was refusing to eat or drink. They asked for me to bring her in for a follow up. Where they gave her a bag of saline water to help rehydrate her, and then said if anything else happens. We’d have to take her to our vet. I felt that the follow up was poorly handled. And rushed. As each day passed. She got worse. We spent much of the following two weeks in and out of our vets office trying to figure out what went wrong. Administering fluids through I.V. And having to hand feed her for every meal, Tested for everything possible. And found nothing. Finally, she reached a point where her health had declined so bad, on her final day, she prolapsed her rectum, trying to use the bathroom, which proved that something had gone wrong with her spay. we had to make the tough, difficult. And heartbreaking decision to have her put down. Afterward. We’ve met several people who had similar experiences with altered tails. I would never recommend using them, because of their carelessness, and neglect. My family lost our baby. Please. Save you, and your family a lot of heartbreak. And don’t use altered tails.
