We had to put my sweet dog down recently after 15 amazing years with her. Dr. Jackson and all of the staff at Aspen Ridge helped us say goodbye to her and were so compassionate and caring. They sent us the nicest card afterwards, personally signed by members of their staff and with her paw prints inside. We love this place and will never take our pets anywhere else.

I just want everybody to know out there that this place is absolutely over-the-top wonderful, spacious, very friendly, very thorough. The doctor treated our dog with great love. I highly highly recommend this place

Lisa is a very compassionate Front Office employee. I had to put down my JOJO after loving him for 10 years and she and the vet and technician made it a better transition. The doctor was caring and compassionate and my dog died peacefully. They also took care of cremation arrangements.

The entire staff at Aspen Ridge are kind, compassionate and caring. They were able to treat my dog when our regular vet's office wouldn't see her. Turned out she had pancreatitis and wouldn't have survived if I had not gotten her to Aspen Ridge. Guess who her vet is now? The wonderful folks that saved her life, that's who.

They are the only one open on Saturday which is great. But, they made sure to schedule me after it was after 4 and emergency hours were in effect. Twice. The staff is not friendly and no one wore a mask in the height of Covid. There was nothing wrong with my dog and it was $125. VERY expensive compare to other vets here. Try not to let your pet get sick on a Friday and don't go here unless you have to. Especially if you are low income.

This is the most loving, caring, compassionate, group of animal caregivers and lovers on our mountain. Dr. Ellis and Jackson care for both our pets. They actually listen and do comprehensive exams to determine the best course of action no matter the situation. The staff always calls and follows up with us and checks on our pets. Thank you so much

They got us in pretty quickly for our emergency. My dog is better now and the visit was unnecessary. I feel like they pushed a lot of tests to be completed, which I declined most. However, I paid for a parasite panel and it's been two weeks and they still haven't called with the results.

I do not have a problem with animal care. We took our pet there today and was told that we could not be present when she was examined. I explained that we had masks. I respect the owner’s policies, but feel this is a little over the top for a pet clinic. Needless to say we will not be bringing our pet back.

I want to start off by saying thank you to the staff at Aspen Ridge Animal Hospital for taking care of my best friends throughout the years. Yesterday I had to put one of those best friends down and it was easily one of the hardest things I had to do, the staff gave me time to be with her, took good care of her, and made the process as easy as possible. She passed away peacefully in my arms and I thank them for helping her pass on free of pain. I would highly recommend them to be the caretakers of your pets as I did, and will continue to do.

Let me start off by saying I am not a Show Low native. I live in Phoenix. I came up to visit my dad with my two boys. Today around 1:00 I got home to a puppy acting weird and lossing his balance. Within minutes he was stiff and unresponsive. I got in my car with my dog and drive to the nearest vet like any normal pet owner would do. I rush my dog in and was refused service as soon as I walked in. I was told all vets were in surgery and that no one could help us and we needed to leave. I'm freaking out of course and my father asks what we should do. The receptionist told us to drive another 10 miles down the road. But to make sure we call first to see if the can fit him in. We were under the impression that my 7 month old puppy was having a seizure and was told no one could help. This was an emergency and should have been taken seriously. Instead the receptionist was short, snappy, and unprofessional. I was glad we were turned away because when we arrived to Blue ridge we were treated by a doctor and his team. They saved my boy. They deserve not only my clientele but also my money. I will never visit this place again and I advise you to not even waste your time. They wasted precious treatment time for my puppy. He ate something he wasn't supposed to and was very sick. He was going through a poison episode and they made us leave. I would give 0 stars if I could. This vet made me sick. How could you turn away a lifeless puppy? I don't know how anyone here can live with themselves.

Called late to their “emergency number” as an emergency patient for my French bull dog. Was told she would call the vet and see if she could come in and see my dog; I waited for a return phone call only to have them tell me they recommend i give my dog basically a sugar supplement to help boost her a little because the vet had been “working a lot lately” and couldn’t come in (her words.) Why have an emergency “24/7, 365 day” emergency hotline when you won’t even come in! The symptoms I described to the nurse that my dog was presenting with were critical but I guess she was too tired to come in. Sad to say my girl didn’t make it through the night! Thanks for all your help Aspen ridge, NOTTTT!

They saved my cat a few years ago when another vet was letting her die. I brought a feral kitten in today and they took good care of him.

Everyone at Aspen Ridge animal hospital are amazing!! Whether my miniature schnauzers.are having a check-up, their teeth cleaned, surgery, emergency visits and/or being boarded, I know they are receiving the utmost of care and treatment! They treat my dogs as if they were their own pets. Staff talks WITH you, not AT you.

Dr. Jill Jackson, along with the entire team at Aspen Ridge Animal Hospital were phenomenal. My 5 year old Chocolate Lab (Duke) developed a huge mass under her neck area over the weekend, nearly the size of a baseball. It worried my family and I tremendously, as we thought it could be a tumor. I called 1st thing Monday morning, and although the practice had a full day, they worked us in for 9:30 AM to examine Duke. Aspen Ridge's procedures for COVID-19 were the best I have seen so far on the White Mountains. The truly care about their clients, their staff, and the animals they care for (Impressive)! Even though they were busy, they considered Duke a priority, in which Dr. Jill Jackson diagnosed Duke, and determined his issue was not a Tumor, but instead....an Abscess. She walked me through the procedure she recommended, clearly explained exactly what she would need to do, up to and including the care that would be needed afterwards, such as the next 5-10 days, etc. She also clearly explained the costs, such that I could be informed ahead of time. This morning, on day after the surgery, Duke is resting comfortably, ate a good breakfast, and seems to be doing much better - I am sold, and will be forever grateful to Dr. Jill Jackson and the excellent team at Aspen Ridge. I could never have been so grateful for the immense care they gave to my cat. She had an unknown condition going on for a while and the last vet I took her to told me "I do not know what it is. We could try a biopsy" which would have costed me 800 and they also charged me 400 just so they can feel her.... Aspen Ridge has shown so much care and understanding to me and my cat. They figured out what it was within the same day and charged me MUCH less compared to the last vet for SO MUCH more treatment. Now my cat is happier and is making a speedy recovery. Thank you so much guys! You are all so amazing!
