IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET, STOP SCROLLING AND READ THIS!!! PLEASE. My husband and I had been bringing our dogs to Palm Valley Animal Clinic for a few years since moving from NY. They would go in for check ups, vaccines, and the occasional allergy shot. They started our dog on a new allergy medication that required blood work every month as it has the potential to cause serious side effects. Initially, our dog was great, but after about two weeks she appeared as though she was, in fact, having possible side effects from this medication. We stopped giving it to her and called the vet hoping she could be quickly evaluated. The soonest we could be seen was about two weeks out—so we made that appointment. Her symptoms worsened and we called to see if she could come in any sooner. They said no and instructed us to go to the nearest pet ER—so we did, immediately. The ER said her symptoms may or may not be related to the new medication, but sent us home with pain meds and instructions to follow up with our vet within the week. We called every. single. day. to ask Palm Valley if they could get us in for an earlier visit. The answer was always “no”. When we started asking real questions, they became uncomfortable and said there was nothing they could do over the phone. We were advised to keep our original appointment because they couldn’t squeeze her in any sooner. The office manager, Barb, called us the day before our scheduled visit and CANCELED IT. She said we were “threatening” over the phone, which couldn’t be farther from the truth. When it was made clear that we hadn’t made any threats, she changed the story and claimed we couldn’t come in because we had “refused further testing” at the ER. When we told her we hadn’t refused anything and simply wanted to be seen by a vet that we thought we could trust, she told us that Dr. Hatch would not see us and she’d be happy to send our records elsewhere. We pleaded with this vet EVERY DAY to be seen earlier to evaluate our dog for a potential life-threatening side effect of a medication that THEY prescribed. This is not only negligence, it’s a complete lack of empathy or concern for their patients. If your pet needs a vaccine, who cares who gives it. If they’re young and healthy, sure, why not go here for a check up. But if you love your dog like we do and plan to see your vet for years, I’d be VERY wary. There’s a very good chance they will show your pet the same courtesy as they did ours, and leave them out in the rain on their death bed. If this was your family member, which if you’re this far into the review it very well could be, would YOU want to be put in this situation? I don’t think so, which is why I URGE you to find a different facility. To Dr. Hatch, office manager Barb, and the vet tech that clearly had a problem with us asking simple yet educated questions…shame on you. We hope you feel even just an ounce of the pain and torment you’ve put our family through.

Everyone is so Nice and Professional... I've been bringing My Dog here since we moved here 2015 and now; They are caring for My New puppy... Both of My Babies seem Happy & Relaxed with The staff and treatment here at Palm Valley Animal clinic. IN OUR OPINION IT'S BETTER THAN 5☆'s

Been taking my yorkie there for awhile now. Appts difficult to get forcing me to go elsewhere for vaccinations, etc. Staff is friendly. Wish their hrs were more available. I'm not sure but think there's only one vet.

We have been going to Dr Hatch for over 12 years. I always feel confident with the services rendered. Everyone on staff has always been friendly, kind and helpful. Can’t imagine taking our 2 fur babies to anyone but Dr Hatch. He is the best!

I just returned here after moving away from the area for a few years. Wow! What a great place. I have an older dog with health issues and for years I was always made to feel guilty for not doing expensive work-ups ( even though I wouldn’t treat or he wasn’t a candidate for treatment). The staff here actually listened to me, validated my decisions, and treated my baby to manage his pain and his ongoing infection. The cost is reasonable and the best thing is I get in when I need to. I will recommend this place to anyone. The Vets and office staff are the best!!

Dr. R. Hatch was great with Luke, my golden doodle. He takes his time and answers every concern about my dog. My husband and I really like Dr. Hatch because he really cares.

What a refreshing experience with their veterinarian. She was so personable, knowledgeable and kind to our pets. The entire office staff were very "pet" friendly and made both of our dogs feel right at home. In fact our pit went right over and sat by Amy!

I followed Dr. Hatch and Dr. Barenburg his wife from 75th and Camelback. Started seeing them 1994 or 95. Would not go anywhere else. So very caring and compassionate. All of the support staff are just as caring. The Doctors and staff have walked us through putting 2 of our cats to sleep.
