I brought my small Chihuahua in because of constant urine dribbling. They were able to diagnose her with a reasonably priced MRI with ectopic ureter. Staff is competent, empathetic and professional. Would highly recommend them

I just wanted to say thank you. It was a sad moment for us. It was time for Our Osa. It was an emotional time for us I didn't get the names of the vet or her assistant. They were so compassionate. I called when my vet didn't return my call. And was told to come right away. We were given a private room with a garden. Osa was stressed and actually went into the garden. We all sat on the floor on a blanket. Thank you for helping us get through. They even sent a card with condolences. She passed peacefully I can't express my gratitude enough.

Our dog got into and ate a fly trap. They told my daughter she had to call animal poison control before they would see our dog. She did and then took him to see them per their instructions and per poison control saying get to get immediately. To which they said when she got there l, she had to take him to 24/7 animal hospital in case he needed overnight observation. If you were going to recommend that why waste time with making us jump through hoops! We bring 4 animals to them and our dog Elvis who is the one who ate the fly trap and they always let the students come and look at him and stuff can’t even get real care when he actually needs it!

Unless your pet has been hit by a car or mauled by another animal, don't waste your time with an emergency visit at Midwestern. My very ill dog, obviously in pain was rushed in...a student did the preliminary exam and since his vitals (seriously, he can't walk!) were relatively normal, and "the symptoms just presented today, so he seems okay"....no tests, no bloodwork and, as far as I can determine, no actual doctor involved. Don't waste your precious time with your sick pet or your money.

I have been bringing my fur baby in here on a regular basis since she had emergency back surgery in February; the students and staff are super sweet, patient and very knowledgeable! My pup used to hate going to vets, but whenever I arrive for an appointment, my dog gets so excited and looks forward to every visit. She just started her first water therapy session today to help her with her arthritis and weight-loss, and her therapist (Erica) was extremely sweet and patient with her because she gets really nervous and anxious around water. Every staff member, student and vet/instructor has been extremely crucial in her care and recovery; I don't know where I would be without these wonderful people! They are very affordable (compared to many other options) and provide excellent care. It is apparent that everyone at this facility really cares and puts your animal first.

Absolutely the most compassionate students and staff. They were so thourough and helpful with an incredible payment plan with out even asking me to apply for care credit. I would and will recommend to anyone that is worrying about finances and looking for great medical care for their pets. Thank you so much to everyone that are helping my foster pup and I.

My dog Luke and I have loved this place! This was the third clinic I took him to before this place gave him the care he needed. My little dude is a bit anxious and they were always super kind and patient with him. And over time he'd go through the front door without me having to lure him in. The student veterinarians here were great and the veterinarian that oversaw them was great too. Sometimes it was a little hard to get through to the front desk, but they were very helpful and I think the delays were mainly due to the quality of their care keeping them busy with many, many puppers. I moved to Tempe so I transferred to a different clinic, but I just want to take a moment to thank the students and staff here for helping my little dude through some hard times. Luke and I really appreciate it. Thank you!

The Dr.'s/Surgeons and Student Dr.'s here are amazing! They clearly went above and beyond for our German Shepherd, who is the love of our life! Hit by a car, Midwestern University doctors and staff assisted us with our many needs with regard to our Shepherd, which is injuries were quite severe. They're innovative research and therapy along with the surgeries have brought drastic positive change for our pet, thus helping him to save his limbs. I salute the staff of Midwestern University Animal Health Institute. I recommend this institute to all pet owners, pet lovers, and those in need of aggressive attention for their pet.

All tests normal, very very good covid protocols happening. Only issue is use a restroom before you go, Covid is keeping the public out of the building. Doctor was very nice. Seemed to care. Happy in General. ENZO looks a hella lot better then he did 5 hours ago.

Certain vet needs a punch in her face as she is arrogant and pompous. Charged more than what was estimated and be on lookout for their suggestions. These suggestions meant more money and they didn't mention it until paying the bill at checkout. We paid to have students learn how to be vets. Not trustworthy. Not recommended for anyone.

I have always had a pleasant experience at the midwestern animal clinic up until early this month. My dogs had gotten tangled up, and and long story short one of my babies had passed because of being tangled and I was absolutely devastated. Once they were untangled I noticed the mouth of the survivor was bleeding due to being stuck on the other’s collar. I took care of him the best I could for two days before deciding to go to the clinic. The assistant vet was very nice, however the main doctor didn’t do anything but say his wound will heal over time, nor did he give advise on how to take care of it. He proceeded to say “He’s doing good despite being a puppy murderer” . I was Too torn over the incident to say anything. Obviously my dog had no intention on hurting his daughter, they were inseparable. I left feeling upset, displeased and short $100 from the visit. I an truly grateful for what this clinic has helped me with in the past, however after this encounter I do not think I will be returning in fear of further insensitivity.

I took my dog in for urgent care here. He felt abnormally warm to the touch, extremely lethargic, dry heaving, shaking, rapid breathing, etc. They got me in quickly, which was great, but things went downhill from there. The person taking patient history asked the same questions multiple times and wasn't really listening to my answers. The vet seemed to ignore half of the signs I reported and after racking up over $500, came up with a diagnosis of acid reflux... The next day, I took him to a different vet, who looked at the same signs and test results in about 20 minutes, and thought pancreatitis was a possibility. He did another blood test and confirmed it as pancreatitis.

I will not say anything about their professionalism - they were very pleasant - but I will warn you: DO NOT bring your animal in here for their "examination" without first asking what they charge for standard, suggested vaccinations and other procedures. They are significantly more expensive than what I've experienced going to other clinics. I should have asked first rather than just assuming that it would have been reasonable or less expensive than the local vets. I left paying almost 100.00 for a superficial, preliminary examination of my two kittens with really nothing to show for it. I knew they "looked healthy" when I brought them in. I was essentially told that they "look healthy". Gee thanks.
