Awesome experience! Staff is friendly, allowed you to interact with the animals, send home a care package and make things right if something happens to your new furry friend for any reason within the first few weeks (respiratory infection, infection, etc.). Accurate personality descriptions as well! Very sanitary and following all procedures during these tough times. Thank you for all that you do!

Went to try and get a kitten, told us we are only allowed to pick ONE name. They do a lottery system on the kittens. Me and few other families are still waiting to see if other kittens are available. Volunteers comes out to inform us two familes adopted TWO kittens each. How is it fair to say you can only pick one kitten do a lottery on the names to tell other families that other people were able to pick TWO when we were told only ONE. Completeyly rude and unprofessional. Three families were waiting outside for the kittens to then have two families adopt 2 each when application and volunteers only say one.

After I retired from 20 years as an educator, I stopped at Friends for Life Rescue on my final trip home from my reaching post at Xavier College Prep. Although it took me 3 visits to find the "love of my life", a sweet 2 year old Pitbull mix, I am forever grateful that I found her. Juno is my best friend and my therapy dog. She instinctively knows when I am feeling sad or unwell. She will come over to where I am sitting and rest her head on my lap. Her expression says "it's alright, mommy. I ???? you!

Friends for Life is a superb shelter. I would recommend to anyone looking for a new fur baby to come here first.

The volunteers are so very kind and helpful. The foster Moms are so great!!!! The fee is worth every penny to support this amazing rescue. Please donate or adopt. We adopted two 10 week old kittens. So many need a loving home.

I took all of Moonie’s things here. He passed recently. They took everything, meds and all. They share with other shelters which warmed my heart. So happy they will be used to help our unfortunate fur friends. Thank you!

Great friendly, loving staff. I just got a new furry family member from here over the weekend and the whole process was great. We started with an intake survey to help understand our wants and limitations for the new addition. From there you get a personalized tour of the pets and they provide you all the information they know about the animals...the good and the bad, allowing you to make an informed decision. You can then choose and spend as much time as you need with your potential new pup or kitty before committing to them. When this place picks up new strays they microchip, give all thier shots including a 3 yr rabies, and spay or neuter them. My son choose a beautiful pup who is now the new member to our family. Thank you!!

I went to donate some items and I couldn't believe how much it's changed since it used to be on Vaughn. It is big and cheerful and the receptionist was so warm and friendly. The love ans care for the animals is so evident. I can't wait to go back and sign up to volunteer too.

A rescue that only takes kittens is not a rescue to me...it's a selective adoption center. This is very unfortunate as I had high hopes for them. I surrendered 3 kittens today while the mom was rejected for being, well, too old (less than 6 months old too). Maybe it's just me, but when I see a shelter that spends more money on the architecture of their building than they do in housing pets, that's a problem. Selectively rescuing animals to turn a dime is a big turnoff. I recommend you find or support another shelter/rescue.

Well, I found my new furry best friend here. Thank you friends for life! They really take their time to make sure you meet all the fur creatures and understand how important the personality is. This was a match made in heaven.

Got my dogs (1 yr old siblings) spayed and neutered in the mobile surgery service trailer out back for free! Just had to pay for the pain medication, the cones and bandages which came out to 70 something dollars for 2 small/mediumish dogs. Low price! It was quick and easy, and the dogs were taken care of with love. They were pretty out of it afterwards so watch them closely because they could easily fall off your furniture or choke on food or hurt themselves. But overall experience of this was great, and the communication was easy too! I recommend to anyone looking to stay and neuter.

We spoke with an adoption specialist and got my questions answered before we decide to adopt. The staff is very nice and welcome. The places looked very clean and animals were well taken care. Once we decide to adopt , will definitely go back.
