My dog had an ulcer on his eye that wasn't healing with the treatment from our primary vet, so she referred us here. I called on a Saturday but they were closed, so I left a voicemail. My message was promptly returned at 8am on Monday and they told me they could fit us in for an appointment that morning! My dog ended up needed a procedure which they also were able to do same day. They took care of getting all the details and medical records from my primary vet. Everyone I talked to, from the receptionist to the vet tech, to the doctor himself were very kind and patient and really took the time to explain everything in detail and answer my questions. They even wrapped my dog's e-collar with tape to soften the sharp edge. I highly recommend this clinic for anyone needing a specialist for their pet.

I have a cat who has a Symblepharon (a pathologic condition where the bulbar and palpebral conjunctiva form an abnormal adhesion to one another.), caused from a severe, untreated Herpes infection as a kitten. There isn't much that can be done except symblepharectomy (where the surgeon will separate the adhesion). The price I was quoted for the surgery was $2500. Every other place I've have been between $800-$1200. When I handed the technician the cat, I explained that I know all about the condition, and the available treatment options. When the doctor came back with my cat 10 minutes later, she basically said everything I already knew, and told her I knew when she started. I don't remember getting an IOP reading or a corneal stain, which should have been the minimum. I was not even offered any medication; no anti-virals, or eye-drops for pain, or systemic drugs for inflammation. ZIP, ZERO, NADA just hand over the $250 and good luck with your cat... I did not hear anything I haven't heard from every other normal vet I have seen. Why go to a specialist?

Great, welcoming and helpful staff! Kind doc. Hope we won't need you too often, but if we do, we know where to go!

From first appointment through post-op recovery the doctor and staff were so kind and supportive. They were eager to make sure I understood everything and regularly asked if I had any questions. After my pup's enucleation surgery, they even mailed her a well wish note with a side animal. What a nice surprise! The surgery itself went incredibly well and her recovery was smooth. They even put some heart stickers on her cone. ❤️❤️❤️

Had to take our shih tzu for a eye injury. I was there for almost 2 1/2 hours for our first appointment ????. Follow ups went much quicker. They were very kind, great at explaining everything. Gave me all the options. We went home with the needed medications.

This is the place to be for all animal specialties. I went to the Opthomology clinic. The staff are very kind, professional and perfectly in tune with our animals. Dr. Cochran is kind and shows expertise on handling the examinations to provide comfort and best care. He explains everything and even invited me to look while he pointed out his findings as it related to my dog's eye condition. Thanks to all and keep up the great service you provide to our precious fur babies.

The back office staff is cold and rude. They treated my friends dog like he was vicious. They saw him for 5 minutes did not tests and still charged her $130 for the "visit" i would not recommend this place to anyone.

It was a bit difficult to make my first appointment but from there on it was smooth sailing. Great care. Everything explained to me in easily understood language. Medications and how to care for my pet explained. Next appointment easy to make.

They were quick to accommodate my dog who’s eye was swollen with discharge. They performed a routine exam and stated it was from an injury in March. I asked two times if this could be an infection since it occurred instantly and was told it was not. They prescribed steroids and a anti-swelling drop which did nothing and the eye continued to get worse. Since they are closed on weekends with no emergency number, I took her to an emergency room veterinarian who prescribed her an antibiotic drop which cleared her eye within a day. I believe they could have verified if this was an infection instead of just assuming this was due to a previous injury. It would have saved our girl from so much pain and suffering! For the $300 spent, I am very disappointed with this practice.

They allowed you to come inside with your pet. They took pet away for exam and then vet came in person to discuss findings and treatment. Bill seemed reasonable for exam and medication. Very pleased with visit.

Our 13 year old maltese is going blind and will need to have an eye shutdown or removed. We are hoping to save some eyesight in her other eye. It's a tough situation, the Drs. and nurses have been excellent in explaining our choices for care and what might happen next. We're going back in 2 weeks, crossing our fingers that the eye pressure is down and and the bad eye can be left untreated.

Everything was done in a professional manner. Covid guidelines were followed. The outcome was perfect. Very happy after the initial shock of the cost, but we love our dog.

The Dr. and vet tech were very good. However, the front office staff is horrible. On two different occasions I left voice mail message and calls were never returned. The receptionist tried telling me we talked...then why am I calling back saying that no one has ever called?! Thursday, Feb. 20th I called to try to get in on an emergency basis. I was told that there were no appointments until the 28th. Asked if the Dr. could call me, was told no but a vet tech would. As of today, Monday Feb 24th no call from anyone! I had a legitimate emergency as we ended up having to have our baby put to sleep. I have never heard of any Dr not having emergency appts available or being willing to work you in. I honestly feel it is the front office person that takes the calls. I don't know if it is a training issue, lack of caring or truly a protocol. Whatever the case, I hope that something is changed and patient needs are taken more seriously. Bob and Krista Anderson

Dr. Felchle did cataract surgery on both eyes for my Cockapoo 5 years ago. The dog was 5 at the time and is 10 now. She was blind at the time of surgery, sees like a hawk now! We could not be happier, we have a good friend who has had the same results on a older dog with Dr. Felchle. Great staff as well.

I have always relied on the Gilbert location. I recently had a dog with an eye infection....that came on in less that 24 hours and was severe. I called to get in ... They gave me a date 2 weeks out. I explained that it was severe. They still told me no. His entire eye was inflamed and almost 100% closed. My regular vet saw him and then referred me to Eye Care in Phoenix. They were "Amazing"..Customer Service, care, concern. He is blind in one eye, but has his sight in the other one, specifically because the Phoenix Location listened and took me on an emergency. The Gilbert location was cold, abrupt and just flat out said no. It's just not the way to do business.

Excellent service and extremely knowledgeable. They were booked out for weeks and our regular vet was able to ask them if they could see our dog between scheduled appointments. I would use them again for sure. Thank you for your help

Dr. Felchle is excellent. Listened to my concerns. She is soft-spoken, gentle and has an intentionally calming demeanor. I believe this really helped my nervous pet.
