They are very loving and compassionate with our pets. We have been taking our dogs there for over 10 years and will continue to do so.

Very disappointed with the service. Confrontational specially the manager of the Gilbert office. Had to call several times to get test results and follow ups. Inconvenient and frustrating to deal with this place. Go find someone that is professional and wants to keep your business.

Spayed our dog. Pricey. But seem to do a good job. Will update our rating after the follow up appointment.

We are very lucky to have Dr Howard in our lives. She is the best Dr, for humans or animals, that I have ever met and we will recommend all our friends and family see her. Its clear she cares about the animals and will always make the best decisions for them. ????

From the moment we drove up to the veterinary hospital, the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The technician was thorough and very loving and compassionate with my dogs. The veterinarian was knowledgeable, happy and very accommodating. We will definitely be back as a lifetime client!!!

For your pet’s safety, DO NOT ever visit this veterinary office. I cannot stress it enough. Two years ago, I switched to Crossroads because the drive to my veterinarian of 20 years was quite far. This was an incredibly huge mistake. I have never had a good experience at Crossroads, but kept going back thinking, “maybe it was just an off day for them.” Spoiler alert - it was not an off day. Last year I took him for a check up and asked for a rabies vaccination only. They ended up talking me into several unnecessary vaccines that left him sick for weeks. Since I was unable to go inside due to the pandemic, they called me and talked so quickly that I had little time to consider the options. I could kick myself now for not standing firm with what I wanted, which was ONLY a rabies vaccination. In January of 2021, I had made an appointment because my dog felt ill. They called me the day of and asked if I wanted to come in earlier, as there was a cancellation. I said no thank you and that we would be there at the originally agreed upon time. As I was leaving the house, they called me asking why I had not arrived for the earlier offered appointment time. I explained the conversation and the receptionist had no idea what I was talking about. Come to find out they had cancelled my original appointment so I was then left with no appointment. They made it seem as if I was to blame. I did not reschedule at that time. In March of 2021 I took Charlie in for a follow-up after having visited an emergency animal hospital. My dog had an ear infection and difficulty breathing. As before, I was made to wait in the car. They called and gave me a quote of roughly ~$600 for the visit. They asked to run more tests and I said okay. It then totaled out to over $1,100. I was told he had a heart murmur and a distended abdomen. They gave antibiotics for his ear infection. No one from the office ever called to follow up on his recovery. I called and asked for further clarification on their tests. They reiterated what I was previously told and told me if he has more problems I should just take him to the emergency vet again. Absolutely NO compassion or treatment plan. I decided to finally take my dog back to our old vet. She compared his previous tests with all his current symptoms and was able to suggest that these are signs of Cushing’s disease. Crossroads NEVER mentioned or even considered that possibility. What incompetence and lack of knowledge. So, Dr. Cooper was content leaving me in the dark, with no diagnosis or treatment plan. What they did was leave me with an $1,100 bill with more questions than answers. They overcharge on all of their services so PLEASE BE AWARE of this. Or, better yet, avoid them altogether. Had I not returned to my old, reliable vet, my dog would have continued to suffer and I would have had no idea what to do for him. Crossroads and Dr. Cooper have no compassion and are completely incompetent. They are solely in it for the money and do the absolute bare minimum - and sometimes even less in my case. So, please, DO NOT EVER VISIT THIS OFFICE. You will be overcharged on all exams and services compared to other veterinarian offices in the east valley. You will be left in the dark and not given a treatment plan. Most importantly, your animal will not be given the proper care to live their life to the fullest. Shame on you, Crossroads. I will continue to tell everyone I know to stay light years away of the monstrosity you call a veterinarian office.

An exceptional veterinary facility!! The staff is highly experienced and competent and clearly dedicated to the health of our pets. I am always so appreciative of their care, particularly when we have had health issues or injuries.

I’ve got a very anxious dog. Two when we go out of town. I can always rely on them to get my medications on time so my dogs feel that much more relaxed when I’m away. Thanks Dr Smith Dr Howard, Dr Martin, Skylar, and Margret! All the staff is always so nice to me!!

Both of our standard poodles are patients here and both have had significant health concerns. The physicians are honest and work to find the problem and best treatment for each. The staff is friendly and competent. I highly recommend them!

I've had many visits with our dogs and cats over almost 15 years even before they moved to this location. The team led by Dr. Smith, who has so much passion and love for animals is the reason I don't want to go anywhere else. They can be pricey at times but the staff and the care they give is absolutely worth it.

The Doctors on staff that we have worked with have been excellent (when you can actually get to them) but our experience with the current receptionist is nothing short of "no soup for you" from Seinfeld Season 7 Episode 6.. She even hung up on us when following up from a request the day prior to have a script refilled. A script that is of extreme importance for our pet (treating valley fever) as we count down the days to running out. They are SLOW at returning calls about your beloved pet. Most recently, we called on a Monday and received a call back a week later. When we follow up to check on the status of calling in a simple refill, the receptionist respond's with -- "Are you calling for the same thing as yesterday? We're really busy and are still working on it" and hangs up. Here we wait as days that go by with no update as we call the pharmacy daily asking if they received a call from the vet for a refill and the answer is "not yet.." The pharmacy was kind enough to recommend other vets in the area as they have had this complaint about Crossroads in the past from other patients..

They always go above what I expect. The doc called us daily, even on her days off to help us figure out how to manage diabetes.

Been going here for years and put up with the bad service because Scott the groomer is so awesome. However, after many years of the worst front desk service ever and a staff who genuinely thinks they are doing YOU a favor by charging to see your dog. I’m DONE. The lady who is usually at the front desk is almost always rude and inattentive. And the staff always has the attitude that some how they are the only game in town. I’ve got news for you ...you’re a business and it’s generally a good idea to be nice and helpful to customers To sum it up TERRIBLE SERVICE and very SMUG attitude

I take my 2 mature Boston terriers to Crossroads. When we moved to this area I considered driving miles so I didn’t have to change veterinarians. I met with Doctor Smith and I felt very comfortable with her, and so did my puppies. After a couple visits, my girl who doesn’t like to go to vet (understatement) actually came out from under table. She still doesn’t like it but is much better. Everyone has been friendly, helpful and caring. I wouldn’t take my pups anywhere else.

Absolute nightmare!!! If you post a real review the owner will lie. I have proof that my dog was just seen, I spent thousands and they wanted more. Zero compassion! Suggested putting my dog down at first visit for anxiety. We have proof of everything! They steal your money and do not give any answers or help unless you’re willing to pay even more. So sad that they’re such terrible vets!!!!!! NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!! Do not go here! Just watch for a response that I can disprove from them too!

We always use Crossroads for our fur babies. Ashley and Dr Howard are our personal favorites. They treat our dogs like their own. Dr Howard has a very detailed conversation with you about your pet and reviews what needs to be done and why. She educates as she is helping them. I love this. Thank you to them as always.

This is a great vet with really wonderful doctors and technicians. The reason I can't give five stars has to do with a particular front desk receptionist (and it appears is reflected in other reviews here): There is an older female receptionist (next time I run into her, I'm going to get her name to warn others) that is really bad at her job. She is unpleasant, uninterested, seems to actually dislike pets and is just such a gloomy contrast to the enthusiastic bright and bubbly staff/other receptionists. I feel the only reason she's around is because maybe she's the owner's wife or something? Please get rid of her, especially as she is someone that is the first contact point for your business and first impressions go a long way! I would happily change my review to 5 stars if she is let go or her attitude improves...

I have been bringing my dogs to this Veterinary clinic since it used to be McQueen Veterinary Clinic upon the recommendation of a breeder friend of my breeder friend to use Dr McComb when I diest relocated here in 2007 feom the SF Bay Area. Once one of my dogs contracted Valley Fever, it was difficult to always make my schedule fit with Dr McComb's when my dog needed to be seen. We started seeing a young Doctor Phalen Ontiveros (now Smith) and have used her almost exclusively ever since. I must say Dr. Howard and she are very similar in personality and practice. Also, although the front office staff at the McQueen location were not always very pleasant, I can say just the opposite about the front office and tech staff since they relocated to the Crossroads office. All are most amiable, helpful and pleasant. I'm sorry they no longer offer boarding and day care; but I can truly say they have always been there for me when I needed them at those times when I needed them the most. I heartily recommend Dr. Smith and her staff.

Dr cooper is really great. I’ve never had bad service here. Everyone loves animals so much and they take great care of both my dog and cat! Dr. Cooper spent 15 minutes on the phone talking through everything we needed to do to get my puppy up to the best health.
