We actually went to the opthalmic vet area for an eye surgery for our bulldog. Friendly professional staff. Promised to call us for sooner appointment if one opened up and they actually not their word, would totally recommend

This was an emergency visit because my dog has been throwing up she didn’t go to the dentist she went to the vet I don’t know why it’s a Dental but they were awesome.

They cared for our golden retriever and treated her as if she was their own pet I cannot express enough gratitude to them.

Ive had my dogs teeth cleaned for the last 10yrs and I have never paid more than 600 including blood work, but somehow Arizona Vet feels like they can charge 1700 not including blood work. I'm calling it what it is highway robbery!!! They are taking advantage because we love our pets and would just about anything for them, but this is ridiculous!

We were referred here as my boy had an abscessed tooth that required extraction. The staff was warm and welcoming and moved things along quite quickly, which was much appreciated. Dr. Balke was kind, professional, knowledgeable, and quite personable - the dog even liked him which is not all that common. However, we ultimately decided against moving forward with doing the procedure with this practice for a couple reasons. First, they recently moved to masks-optional which we didn’t realize meant no one in the office would be wearing them until we got there; we felt extremely uncomfortable with this, especially as the delta variant is rapidly spreading and possibly evading the vaccines. Second, the prices were very high - something to the tune of two times as much as the regular vet for the same procedure. While I understand it is common to pay more for specialized care this just seemed like a bit of a stretch. It was really these last two things that made this a 3 star review rather than 5. Ultimately, if they had kept their mask policy in place we probably would have still opted to have them do the procedure despite the price.

Sat outside for 3 hours!! Paid over 550 to have my cat euthanized. Can’t use restrooms, rude leave you on hold and they literally have no one here waiting!!!!! Super disappointed in this place...

The absolute best!! I love my pup (17 year old mix) and she recently needed to get a root canal. Was very nervous but they took such fantastic care of her and explained everything to me.

Wonderful staff and we love Dr Church especially for helping our Princess have a long and happy life.

First class care, very respectful to listen to our concerns, did not push unnecessary treatment and partnered with a solution.

They were very patient with me and my dog. He has has some major dental issues in the past and they made sure everything went smoothly. The doctor and staff were very good about checking up on my dog post surgery as well.

Dr. Thomas Lewis has been Waldo's vet for a couple years. Helping us with his seasonal allergies and itchy skin. He is very understanding and knowledgeable. The professional staff there is super friendly and loves the pets. This is a wonderful organization for your pets problems.

Way to expensive for us common folk.

Our 8yo black lab had been experiencing some issues w/ a polyp in her rectal area. This lead to quite a lot of discomfort, and bleeding which our local Vet encouraged us to seek treatment at the AZ Vet Specialty Hospital. Due to Covid-19 I needed to remain in my car and communicated with the doc via phone. I was VERY reassured that our sweet dog was in the best of hands as all of the options were clearly described to me. She was scheduled for a surgical procedure that same day and I was kept updated on her progress throughout this period, including post-op instructions. When it was time to pick her up, the very friendly vet tech escorted her to my car and post-op instructions were reviewed again with me. She's doing great today and I'm so relieved that her condition was promptly and expertly taken care of. I would absolutely recommend this Veterinary Hospital to anyone looking to take THE best care of their beloved 4 legged friends!!

I have taken my last 3 Weimaraners to the Gilbert office for dental care and can't say enough about Dr. Coffman, Holly, and all of this very professional, caring group. In the more than a decade we have been going there, it is obvious that AVDS uses the best and most up to date methods for dental care. Very special people!

The oncologist doctor Dr.B was very nice, empathetic and gave us lots of information to form our decision. Everyone at the office was friendly and helpful.

First let me say that the assistant was helpful and actually did seem to care.I am only grateful for you NOT working on my dog's teeth and the referral. The dentist has a terrible bedside manner. Charged me $140 dental consult for doing nothing after he knew that I am a poor teacher suffering in the times right now. All he wanted to do was small talk after he told me he would not help my poor old boy in any way. This dentist is just for rich people. And there were no customers there by the way.

My pom had to get a crown a couple of months ago. I’m so thankful they were able to do it. They went over the options with me, I decided a crown would be the best choice for my baby. The staff was very helpful answering all my questions/concerns. They also eased me and my dog’s anxiety. They called/texted throughout the whole procedure, they took a cute profile picture for her folder which was full of all the information they took throughout the procedure. Dr Balke also followed up that same day after I brought my dog home and again a few days after ???? the only thing negative was how expensive it was, but I got what I paid for and I’m thankful for that.

I had the absolute best experience here. I came into contact with at least five people who genuinely were interested in my dog and myself. Everyone was so friendly and kind. My dog has jaw issues and the veterinarian was very informative, helpful, and spent a lot of time discussing options with us. I could tell that he cared and wanted the best outcome.

Wow, i am glad i was referred to this office. Staff was friendly and helpful and the vet was knowledgeable and showed genuine cared for my dog. Follow up calls for test results from the vet himself. I will defenitely return.
