Paid a lot of money for their pet insurance, but couldn't get my dog in to see a vet when he had blood in his urine. Appointments weren't available until a month out and they wouldn't work him in.

The puppy package was a good value. Beyond that stay away. We have done the membership for several years. Every check up the vet pushes the works on you for tests. Once we brought our dog in for a cut on her paw and the vet wanted to do blood work and tried to sell us one of those cones you put on your dog after getting fixed. “Just in case”. Even the assistant said in front of the vet said that seems unnecessary. I paid for the membership because it includes vet visits and I thought it would save us money. Try again. Allergy shot for my dog is $100. Took her to another vet because banfield couldn’t see us for 2 weeks (another issue they have). It was $80 including the vet visit. Called to cancel the membership (you have to call a specific number for this) and after waiting forever on hold got a message they were not taking any more cancellation calls for the day so they could provide good service. No lie. It wasn’t even 3 pm.

Very unsatisfied with this veterinary hospital. I was persuaded to sign up on their “pet plan” and even though all my dog received was a vaccine and exam they won’t let me cancel the plan unless I pay almost $400! I even offered to pay what I would’ve that day not on a plan. They don’t care about what the situation is. You will be stuck with their plan for a whole year.

Went there at 830am to get a copy of my dogs shot record, the guy at the counter was rude and told me that he couldn't help me as they were not open yet. Called later on and talked to a lady that said they didn't have any males working there, she started arguing with me. I'm just like, look there was a guy in scrubs behind your counter using the computer, she kept insisting that they have no guys working there. Needless to say when my year is up I will not be renewing the subscription.

I am more disappointed with my service at banfield. About 2 months ago I took my dog ashley in for a dental. I was very clear to the vet that because my dog is 15 please remove any potential problematic teeth as I never know when she wont be able to get dental. The vet is Dr. Miracle at the chandler location. Ashley finished and I was told none of her teeth needed pulling. When I got home I noticed advanced recession on her incisor creating a pocket where plaque would accumulate. However I trusted her ability As time went by I became concerned with another tooth so I took her to see Dr. Durreger at a different location. She noticed the two teeth that I was concerned about and she recommended they be pulled. Ashley has had another dental today and unbelievably she need 2 molars pulled and an incisor in addition to the two we had talked about. If banfield is a reputable company they will reach out to me and offer to pay for the dental that my wellness plan covers. There are some great vets at banfield, but there are also some that need more schooling. By the way this same situation happened two years prior to the same dog. The vet found a loose tooth, but didn't pull it. Instead she told me it would fall out. After a month I went back to her and she told me the same thing. I took her to my old vet and he found 3 teeth that needed to pull, so another 500.00 dollars. Ashleys current dental that the doc is finishing up will cost more than 700 dollars. I joined the wellness plan specifically to have at least one free dental a year. I am very angry about this and feel I should be reimbursed the 250 dollars that is the base price for a dental. I do hope someone responds to me

Don't even think of calling for an emergency. You'll have to make a appointment. Lucky we took him to pet . 1 he was taken care of very serious as it was a baby scorpion bite.

left this locations Banfield crying thanks to the older, blonde/copper hair lady who thought yelling & belittling someone whos trying to find help for her injured dog was the correct response. i wasn't expecting to be serviced right away & understood its a Sunday so there was little chance but the way we were treated was absolutely embarrassing. thank you to the managers who let me cry after the poor interaction but I'm not sure we'll be returning after that. UPDATE 2/18: banfield pretends to care as anyone who can see their response below. I was emailing back in forth for maybe a day or so & now they've completely ghosted me. sent another email this past week to see about maybe getting a response again eventually.

Here's a picture of my cat, upset and covered in urine. I scheduled an appointment at this banfield, and apparently the vet I was scheduled to see called in sick, so I was turned away. after an hour in the car with an unhappy pet, they couldn't call me to tell me the vet wasn't going to be in, they couldn't schedule me with another vet, just turned me away even though I had an appointment scheduled for 2 weeks. plenty of other terrible reviews here, now I can see why.

Wonderful experience from the Receptionist, Vet Teck and Veterinarian! Came in with a coupon for a free first time exam. My mom's cat was experiencing symptoms of a U.T.I. After a consultation from the Vet Teck, we felt our options limited, as mom was leaving the state the next day. The three of them came together and thought up a solution. The Vet Tech got in her car (close to closing time) and went to the another Banfield to get a antibacterial shot. She came back and they treated the cat. Lucy seems to be much better now thanks!

My two dogs love one of the vet there. They will not let that vet see them anymore. Cause I had to call and cancel 4 appointment s at the last minute cause they called my husband into work like 2:00 am.one is my husband servic e dog she has seen him since he was a puppy and my other is very little and he needs his panic meds.i am very sorry that he get a different vet it. Will make his worst. They sure her and not blame them that thier human dad get get call in. My husband drive s for Fry's and he has to make sure the store get everything. I can't drive drive And due to 15 mini stroke

Dr. Gardner was the best. She took the time to explain options for Our baby Mickey who had Parvo. She answered questions I had on her day off. The entire staff showed compassion and genuinely care for Mickey.

I wouldn't take my boys anywhere else. I have bad all my dogs at banfield and I love how they take there time and treat them. Especially how one of my boys I have right now is crazy

My wife is a travel nurse so Banfields national presence is a plus. My dog’s records are easily pulled up wherever in the country we are. This location is prepared for Covid with spaced seating. You can’t go in the exam room with your animal but that allows you to get some treats or a new toy as this location is in a PetSmart. The staff was friendly and offered me multiple options for our medicine. I had a great experience.

The doctors are nice and the assistants are very helpful but it seems that people who are at the front desk seems to be very unhelpful. I haven't had the best experience with them to be honest. If you take your dog to banfield I would suggest another location. I don't not recommend this one.

This was a new stand alone location. We had an appointmentto have dental work on our dog. There dental equipment was not working. Their attitude was tough luck Jack. I do not recommend.

Front office receptionists will do anything and everything they can to avoid doing their job while giving you an attitude. If you care about the health of your pet and punctuality this is not the place for you.

I was expecting the worst based on the reviews here, but I was pleasantly surprised the entire way through. The front desk lady located my cat's Banfield account from a different location. The vet and vet tech (I believe) was empathetic, informative, and patient with my questions. They even took the time to answer questions about a pet I was getting the next week. Hopefully whatever issues the hospital experienced in the past will stay there because I'll be using it for my pets' continuing care.

Wow what a great place I called a few days ago and spoke with kendra and she was such a big help. She scheduled me right away even with how busy they are what an amazing person. and when I arrived I was even more blown away with the professionalism of the front desk staff. And the doctors were amazing also what a great team I will definitely be referring all of my coworkers and friends to bring athlete animals here as long as kendra is here anyway. Than you again see you for our monthly checkup

I have brought my animals here for over a decade. The staff are sweet and caring and treat my babies like they would their own, even if they are running ragged. They do not however, have overnight care, so if you have an emergency requiring constant observation it is better to go to the animal ER clinic. I would like to note also, that if you do the wellness plan it can save you loads over the life of your pet, especially if you are rigorous about regular checkups like myself.

I brought my really sick puppy in on a Saturday and they freed up time to see my guy. All of the staff were super professional and caring. The Vet Tech and Vet were amazing and spot on. My guy had parvo and they gave me all the education and encouragement This RN needed to safely and adequately care for this puppy in home. I am super pleased with the care I received. The follow up care and calls were appreciated. ????

Made an appointment for my dog 3 days ago and received a call the day before the appointment telling me that they are now going to charge me an extra $45 because I'm dropping off. When I asked for an appointment this was the only option they gave to me. Bait and switch
