Pete and Mac's Pet Resorts Avondale, Arizona

Do NOT take your animals here! My husband picked up our Great Dane yesterday and he had clearly lost a lot of weight and was not his self. I can see and feel my babies ribs! On the report they gave us, it states there was no problems and that he dug into in his food. Clearly, that is not the case. My baby is lethargic and not at all the puppy we left there 9 days ago! We never received a call that there was any problems and they gave my husband a “good” puppy report. When I try to get close to him he cowards away as if he had been abused! Again, do NOT take your animals here. We have boarded my baby before for a trip we had and he did great! The only reason we had to change places was because we have not had him fixed yet. So I know he does well when boarded. This company clearly did something to my little guy!

Staff members are superb! My pet always enjoys going to daycare and no complaints for having him boarded there for a few days also. The suites can use some improvements, but if my pet is happy, I am too.

Not too sure what to think of it. I went due to a referral. Luckily they were able to get my pup in. When I went to pick him up he was a little out of it and when we got home he threw up a few times. I called Pete’s and asked for a doggy report and they said he did great. I asked if there was possibly an issues or any behavioral incidents and they said the manager would give me a call back. It’s been a week and I haven’t received a call. From outside and from what I saw looked like a nice place.

First time for my 1yr yorkie to go to daycare. Staff seems responsive and friendly. He?'Lloyd definitely be going back again.

The staff is so friendly and the prices for daycare and boarding can't be beat. My boy LOVES going to Pete and Macs!

They took pretty good care of my 1yr old French Bulldog, they were responsive in giving me updates when I called. He seemed happy and well taken care of except for his belongings (pillow and blankets) being returned to be moist and horrid smelling, same with his toys and the travel bag I packed him, I ended up having to throw everything away.

I was good with the care of my dogs until I got home and realized they didnt give my dogs his pain meds and anxiety medication.

I have been taking my furry family member to Pete and Mac's Avondale for a few months now and they have yet to disappoint. I love that I'm always greeted with a friendly smile and belly scratches for Deuce my dog. You guys Rock!

We recently brought our dog to Pete & Mac's in Avondale for a 6 night stay. When we picked him up he reeked of urine and the top of his head was very matted. Our dog is potty trained and can hold his pee for up to 8 hours overnight. I don't understand why he stunk so bad. I am so disappointed with this place. We had a previous experience that was good.

Don’t let the 4 star rating fool you!! I have had two bad experiences with this pet resort. The first incident occurred in April but we gave this place a second chance to give excellent care to our dogs…fast forward to this past weekend…and for the second time, going to see the vet, this time both dogs with kennel cough and both dogs have been vaccinated. The fact that they were both vaccinated with bordetella clearly states this place is very unsanitary, and the entire inside and out reeks of urine and wet dog. This is NOT the place for your dogs! The staff does not care about your pets or the cleanliness. It’s just plain nasty!

I just picked up my two dogs and they were damp and smelled like urine and vomit. Their bedding and blanket also had vomit splattered all over it. I am so disappointed. I don’t think they even let them out.

Put my 2 dogs there. Both came back with pink eye which we were never notified about by the workers. Also they were both very dehydrated which tells me they didn’t get much water. Do not put your dogs here.

They did a great job on my pet's grooming! She looks so pretty. I like the staff and they are very good with my pet.

First time using Pete and Mac's Pet Resort and I'm impressed... As you can see my pup is worn out, in a good way. He was happy to see me when I picked him up. Easy check in and out, friendly staff, and clean facility. I would recommend this place for your dog or cat! Already booked our next visit!

This place is amazing. My two dogs love it here. We pull up into the parking lot and they start going crazy. We been boarding our dogs here for years now. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff and how great they are. I have one dog that cannot play with other dogs so she gets one on one time with my male dog and the staff. They always make sure to give her extra loving. My male enjoys his time playing with all the other dogs there. I love the report cards they give at the end of their stay as well.

So my wife made a reservation to board my two dogs overnight. I go to drop them off and I see that they changed their lobby policy to walk-in. Ok so I bring my dogs in and my dogs start barking, the other dogs start barking, and so the lobby starts to get noisy and they kick me out of the lobby and have me wait outside. I get that. But then they start letting people that come after me jump the line in front of me again and again. I tried to call them twice seeking clarification on what the plan is and they didn’t answer the phone both times even though I see them in the lobby. I get why they would want me to wait outside but to make me wait, serve multiple people that came after me, and not even pick up the phone. That’s what I have a problem with. I am still outside waiting as I type this up. It’s been almost 45 minutes now and still waiting....

We have been taking our dogs here for years and I can't say enough good things! They are so conscientious about care, it's well worth the drive over since we moved.

Our experience was horrible and we will not be back.The customer service is awful and manager was short , unprofessional and so rude. We were charged for fees that were not discussed with us .

This Place Is Absolutely Wonderful, Both Ladies At the front desk was very good and respectful answered all my questions, the price is great also my dog got a bath and nails clipped while he stayed for a few days ! YODA Will Be Retuning

Awesome resort. Ace gets happy as we pull into the lot it's like he knows where he is at lol...great people.

I did not observe any dogs out playing at 8am nor at 3pm for doggie day care.

Love it here. The pups do to. Boarding, bathing or day care.

We—and more important our dog—love this place. We recently lost our dog to cancer and one of the things we made sure to do for her in her final weeks was let her spend some time at Pete & Mac’s. As usual, she was thrilled to be there and happy, clean, and well loved when we picked her up. The facility is first rate and the staff is exceptional.
