What A Mess Professional Dog Grooming Apache Junction, Arizona

An absolute disaster. Appointed cancelled with 24 hours notice and no options for an alternative date. And they did not even initiate the call to cancel! Apparently they knew for some time that the appointment could not be full filled but did not have the courtesy to let me know.

This had been a little bit ago now, but when I took my two yorkies here to be groomed, I was given a time that they would be ready when I was dropping them off. I showed up on time to pick them up from their appointment, and one of my dogs havent even been started yet, and the other one was getting a bath. The owner came out and told me that I didnt understand how time worked and I would have to give them another two hours to finish my animals. Mind you, i was on time for their appointment. They shouldnt book an appointment if they arent going to start working on the dogs at that time. Anyway, I turned to my husband who was also there to ask him if he wants to go look around Walmart while we waited (we drove out from west Mesa) and the owner stormed off, grabbed my dog from the bath, still wet, and started yelling at me, belitting me, and made me feel very unwelcome. I will never be back here.

Best groomer that I have ever had. Just stopped in person to Thank her again. And make next appointment.

Brought my Chihuahua in for nail trim..walked in..they were confident,caring and sensitive to dog's nervousness and dog became calm right away. Tech held her and trimmed her nails that way! Well done and thank you!

Such an amazing place and good with my puppy that has a hard time on the tables. The ladies were so friendly and found out its a family run business that made things feel like I was right qt home! Thanks so much for all you do!!!

Really disappointed with the customer service of What-A-Mess Professional Dog Grooming in Apache Junction. I made an appointment over a month ago for my dog to get washed and cut. When we came in for our appointment today they told me "we didn't know it was a big dog, we are going to have to reschedule you because our big dog groomer is not here today, I would have called you but I did not know the breed". No apologies or anything! When I told her we were going to go somewhere else instead she said "well there's not much you can do when an employees car breaks down". I totally understand things come up but you need to handle it with good customer service, not treating it like it is our fault that you didn't write down what breed our dog was. Also our dog is 35 pounds.. so not huge. Anyways, I love to support small businesses but I personally did not have a good experience at all with this one.

They have always been careful with our giant Great Pyrenees with arthritis and dysplasia. Good job. Fair prices. Thank you all. And Louie thanks you too !

If I was able to post without a star I would have. Very disappointed with What a Mess! I had a 1st time appointment for my dog to get her nails trim and when I pulled up to the facility, there was a note on the window stating they were closed due to an illness (not covid related) and not one single phone call/text was made prior to me showing up. Very unprofessional and according to other groomers that I talked to, this was not the 1st time this grooming place has closed and failed to let their clients know. So much for supporting this small business.

Norine Gross, You reviewed the wrong company, These ladies do NOT have a man in the shop and they do not even open until 9 am. The nail clip is 5 dollars.

My Atticus LOVES to go to this groomer! It's a Mother-daughter team and they are so gentle and nice about Atticus being very vocal..I would highly recommend this place.

I am definitely going back to this place. Friendly and excellent with our little girl Abbey. They're ptices are the best too.

Made apt for nail trim between 7- 8 when we.arrived at 7.45 we were told the man told us we late very rude apt mean nothing to him I will never go back!! Also we were told $12 most of the post #5

They are awesome. They do a great job.

I took my pug mix in for the works. Cut, ears cleaned, nails trimmed and glands expressed. Called me an hour and a half later and said she was done. Got her home and ears weren't cleaned or anel glands expressed. Did it myself. Looked like a rush hair cut also. Not very nice. Will not return to this groomer.

They are the only place I take my dog! He hated having his mail trimmed and for them he just stands there quiet as can be! The only groomer I will use!

I bring my dog roxie who is very timid, to get her nails clipped and she is okay with having her clip her nails. I am very pleased with this place. Highly recommend this place if business, they just calm the animals right down.

Mariah is great with the dogs and she is aware of situations going on with them. I am having an issue with the girls coming in from outside smelling like wet grass and we dont have grass. Mariah gave me a couple suggestions and I am looking forward to trying them.

This was our first visit to this groomers and I have to say, they are so wonderful. My dog is very timid and shy around new people and gets very anxious when having to get a bath, hair and nail trim especially it being with a new groomer. When we arrived for our appointment yesterday they were very welcoming and nice. My dog had no problem at all going inside the gate with the groomer and happily danced away beside her. Usually she starts squirming and doesn't want to go. Then if they try to pet her she will pee all over the floor... When I came back to get her about an hour later they did a wonderful job with her. Usually when I get her back from the other groomer her fur isn't cut evenly and her nails aren't very short. She is so nervous and can't sit still. The groomer yesterday said she had no problems at all and my dog sat perfectly still while her nails and fur were cut. My Mother also brought her 2 Chiuahuas to get their nails trimmed, which she has been putting off for quite a while. because the last few times she has taken them to other groomers they end up having to put muzzles on them. They didn't have to do that this time. The groomer jusproblemst picked one of them up and just stood there swaying from side to side while trimming her nails. The dog just laid in her arms without even a twich until she was done. The groomer just put her on the floor once she was done with no problems. Her nails were very nicely done. I am pretty sure they are all dog whisperers there. I can positively say that this was by far the best experience we have had and we will be back in a couple a months to do it again. Oh, forgot to mention also that their services are very reasonably priced. I saved about $15-$20...

This place is great! Every time I've taken my dogs there it has been a good experience. Reasonable prices with walk in nail trimming only $5. I can't recommend them enough!! The mother and daughter owners are very caring, friendly and they do a great job! I also thank you for your patience & kindness.
