The folks at the front desk are friendly and helpful. The wait room and exam rooms are always clean. The wait times are never really long, they generally run smoothly. The techs are great. Dr. Beck is a brilliant veterinarian who treats pets with great care.

t was great, I really like this Dr. Landry because he efficiently reported back what treatment Tigger needed expediently getting antibiotic in him so he could get better right away. I was worried I might just get the “clean out his ears” & he will improve but what I hoped for happened. He was kind, to the point, & didn’t guilt me about overdue shots cuz people don’t respond to that, smart man????

Took my newly adopted rescue dog in for a wellness check. Staff was very professional, personable and I love my new Vet. Very thorough, answered all my questions and gave me great suggestions. Wonderful experience. Busy office but everyone was wearing a smile and so helpful.

Misdiagnosed our cats problem and didnt do the diagnostics they said they did as a direct result he passed from a urinary blockage that they stated he didnt have. Be very careful I will never return.

My puppy litter appointment with 6 miniature Schnauzers went so smoothly, and Dr. Henry was very thorough. The assistant was very sweet and helpful, carrying my crate full of puppies to and from my car. I wish the exam for each pup had been documented, and the information given to me along with the shot record. I would recommend asking for it when you go.

Jet was critically ill and needed immediate and empathetic attention. He was taken in immediately and given all the attention that he needed. They saved his life. I will be always grateful. Jet always loves the care and attention he gets. He always feels loved and at home. I cannot say enough to express my gratitude for the care he gets Jet always loves the care he gets at North Star Animal Hospital. Thank you for loving him so much.

Absolutely enjoy bringing both of my dogs to North Star, everyone is extremely helpful and polite. I feel totally confident that we are receiving the best care in Alaska for my fur babies.

Our pet family has a new home for animal care. We enjoyed our visit. They were knowledgeable, professional, friendly and genuinely caring. They didn’t push anything but were sincerely helpful. Excellent staff and clean environment despite being under construction. They even called us at home on the WEEKEND to see how our pets were afterwards. Most medical doctors for humans don’t do that!

These guys/ girls are fantastic!! They let my neighbor and I bring her puppy in right away to be tested for parvo. When it was positive and we couldn't afford to admit him, they made sure we had the meds we needed to help nurse him through it and now he's back to 150%!! Thanks to all the staff there for actually caring about our fur babies!!

This Vet is a great fit for me. The staff are accommodating to my schedule, get back with answers to my concerns, and also have a boarding kennel/pet retreat.

It matters so much to me that the experience is good from beginning to end. I've taken all of my dogs there for years, Rottweilers and a lab, and they have always gotten the best of care. From the beginning of their lives to sometimes the last day, I've always felt that those at Northstar care very much for each and every one of my dogs. They get the best of care and follow up calls or texts always, to see how they are doing, and I know I can call at any time if I'm concerned or worried about anything going on with them. I highly recommend Northstar Veterinary Hospital. My dogs are part of my family, they mean the world to me and I will only settle for the best of the best for them. I feel they get this care and attention at Northstar.

My beloved dog was dying. I went there to make an appointment to have her euthanized. However, she didn’t make it until the appointment. They not only refunded me for the visit, but also offered to store her over the weekend until the crematorium opened. The front receptionist was so kind and sympathetic to my pain. I will bring my pets here in the future for healthcare.

Dr. Beck is amazing! She takes her time and answers all our questions. Having moved from Texas to here I was nervous about finding a good vet for our fur babies. North Star and Dr. Beck are phenomenal and I know our pets are in good hands.

North Star’s staff has always taken very good care of our animals. Now that we have an exotic pet, I was so happy that they could care for him as well.

Nothing always love bring my fur baby here. And have recommended people here all the time. Always appreciate what the plan of action they want to do before they do it and then the cost. I have not been pushed to do something or give something to my baby without knowing how much it would cost first. But the staff is amazing and kind, as well as very patient and accommodating. Will always come back.

Everyone was nice, professional and treated Boone very well. Facility was very clean which was remarkable considering construction going on just outside. Very impressed and happy we chose North Star as our permanent vet!

Even though they had a lot of construction on the outside of their building when I had to take our guinea pig in, they were kind considerate and very accommodating. They came out to the car to guide us thru the construction and the appt went pretty fast. They are and have been professional each time we have had to get a pet seen in the last few years. I would definitely recommend them.
