Not to shabby. They could work on cleaning up outside alittle more; My dog comes here daily to take a dump and it’s starting to pile up.

Chelsea was a big help over the phone. Great service. Wednesdays are discounted vaccination days and I believe most vacs are 15 bucks. 10/16/2021 new appointment Brought my dog in to have his ear infection remedied. He would not allow them to out a muzzle on him so we had to opt for sedation. I don't like to think about sedating animals because I have heard of issues with animals and their respiratory systems failing with this option. But he is I. So much agony with his ear infection that it is necessary at this point. Still awaiting the word to pick him up and concerned about this procedure. Left the vet clinic at 850am and it is now 1015am. Sigh

Front staff is garbage. The vets are great, but the staff is awful. Steer clear

I’ve been taking my pup to this location for about a year now, as I am a care club member. Up to this point they are constantly starting our appointments 20+ minutes late. One time they forgot to bring him back out to my car. On Thursday, I called at opening at 7am with some concerns about my dog. I just wanted to talk to a vet for a few minutes to see if I needed to bring my dog in now, soon, or at all. The girl told me that one vet is busy, and the other isn’t in and That i will receive a call later that day, and if I don’t, to try back tomorrow. She also told me that my care club membership is invalid at another location even in this situation. I received no call. Called again Friday. Still not even 5 minutes for the vet to talk to me. Still no call back. Friday afternoon I called another vet clinic in which a vet spoke with me immediately and suggested taking my dog to the ER. I didn’t hear from the VCA all of Friday either. Really sorry experience with these guys. Let them know not to renew my care club. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.

Had a scheduled appointment for exam and vaccine, waited 20 minutes outside after I had called to check in my dog. Left a message to call me and ask how much longer, no response. Finally after 30 minutes I went to the door and asked how much longer, they’re response was im sorry would you like to reschedule. That was it!

My beloved Joey passed away recently... VCA has been his provider since he was a pup. Staff is very caring and compassionate. Dr. Metcalf did regular cold call follow ups. Feel blessed that Joey had the best of care in life and his passing too with cremation services. Love eternal, RIP Joey! We miss you...

They worked us in late in the day to treat a wound on the dog. They were all friendly and supportive and the cost was very reasonable. Highly recommended.

From the start, the lady who answered the phone treated us like first class customers! I had to scurry & find a last minute vet to administer a kennel cough vaccine by the end of the day & although they were booked til the weekend, the doctors were gracious enough to squeeze our pup in! Super thankful for these professionals. Must visit!

In these Covid days, these guys did my dogs well. Very well organized, hospitable, and energetic Dr Wise is also a waterfowl hunter and has a retriever. All good stuff.

Dr Medkeff has a lot of great reviews which frankly astonishes my husband and I. First I must say our interactions and experiences with the rest of the staff (both reception and vet techs) at Bering Sea VCA were great. I write the following as I hope what happened to us does not happen to anyone else, our dog deserved so much better and we deserved better. We brought our dog in for a repeat/follow up visit as he was not doing well this past Tuesday. Testing was completed and we were told we’d learn the results in the next “day or so”. Wednesday passed, we heard nothing. By Thursday early afternoon I decided to call and check in as our dog was continuing to not do well. We were told our dogs results were in and that Dr Medkeff would call us the next day to discuss. The vet tech was kind enough to read some of the results to us. This test was a repeat urinalysis, the results of which were significantly worse than our dog’s initial urinalysis. Friday arrives, unfortunately I assumed due to the progression of our dogs illness both clinically and as evidenced in his labs that we would likely hear from Dr Medkeff right away. The clinic opened at 7am. That was not the case. I phoned around 10:30 in the morning letting the staff know, once again, our concern and wish to speak with Dr Medkeff about our dog and his results. We were told she was in surgery and our message would be relayed. Incidentally, the clinic website states the clinic hours are 7am-7pm, but it also states hours may change or be different due to the current Covid situation. It was coming on 4 pm Friday, still no phone call from Dr Medkeff and not sure if the clinic would really be open til 7 my husband decided to call once again politely relaying our real concern about our dog and the fact that it is now late Friday afternoon and we still have not heard from Dr Medkeff. We were told she was on the phone and were given the option to hold for her or that she would call us back. We opted to hold. After a minute or 2, Dr Medkeff was finally on the line and the ensuing discussion can best and most generously be described as awkward..... At worst egregiously mechanical, indifferent, unhelpful, insensitive. Bottom line, we learned our dog has Transitional Cell Carcinoma of the bladder which is fatal, of course as likely many or most cancers in canines are- as far as I know. I certainly don’t blame Dr Medkeff for our dogs illness. What I do hold her accountable for was seemingly sitting on significant lab results and the fact that we basically had to stalk her and her clinic to obtain these results. Finally learning these results late Friday afternoon...believe me- I have no delusions this would change the overall outcome for our dog, but if we learned these results sooner- there may have been better appointment availability with the one canine oncologist in the area to at least learn more about how we can help our dog in his remaining time. Dr Medkeff had so many opportunities to do the right thing on so many levels when she spoke to us on the phone. Every opportunity was missed, it was really remarkable. Not once, not ONCE did she express any concern or sympathy for this outcome. The news was delivered, as I mentioned above, mechanically and we both felt like we had to pull the information out of her. When asking about what options there are for our dog, she mentioned the canine Oncologist in the area. When asked if we could have the number, seemingly annoyed in her tone she said, “Well, I can look it up for you”. Don’t bother Dr Medkeff, we too can do a google search. This clinic needs to figure out a better system to handle significant lab results. Dr Medkeff needs training on delivering difficult news at minimum. To VCA credit, I did hear back from the manager who was very supportive and sincerely apologized for our experience. I believed her when she said she would look into what happened and I hope she does, there is room for some significant improvement here. We however will not set foot into this business again. Consumer beware.

My dog has been going here for a few years now. The vets and techs we see are all very friendly and identified a long term problem our previous vet missed (Atopic dermatitis) and now our dog is on a great, affordable treatment plan that makes us all much happier. Plus they send informational emails, offer pet care plans, and boarding.
