Always great care for our animals here. Had to take my dog to a pet ER and they gave me a lot of odd diagnosis- Our regular Vet at Southside got involved and everything worked out great.

Refused to see me. Double booked and won’t accept any new customers. Good luck finding help.

I appreciate the care and concern the staff has for my elder cat. They treat him kindly & tenderly. Their work is thorough, quick & they keep me well informed about his care. The follow up is great assurance, too!

Southside has great doctors and the staff is top notch. I know my fur family is in safe hands cared for by people who treat them as their own. Dr Schmidt is also a ferret expert and able to diagnose and treat cancer saddling with other issues. They are also incredibly kind when dealing with the passing of loved ones.

Best vet in town for sure.

I need to give Southside a huge shoutout, I have came here for years with 6 different dogs of mine. This past week, one of my dogs has gotten very sick. I needed to take her to emergency care overnight, my doctor helped me through the whole way, after hours. The staff at southside took time out of their busy schedule to call over there and get everything set up for me. It just feels amazingly supportive how the Southside team helped me. I appreciate them so much and do know what I would do without them.

Our families pets have been going to Southside for over 30 years. (27 from Nome). They’re thoughtful and caring people. The vets have performed multiple surgeries and made excellent diagnosis on our pets. A+ place.

SAHaWC always have been so good to work with. Their front staff are great to work with and the Doctors that give care to our Labradoodle are outstanding.

I adopted a pet from the local animal shelter and when no other clinics would accept new clients, they were there. They got me in quickly and were very professional. They are super friendly and I know my kitty will be in great hands with them.

This place is great. Been taking care all of my 4 leggers for a long time

Great friendly staff ! Treated my pup very well. Seemed a bit expensive.. but I guess that's any pet vet.

Friendly staff and veterinarians. COVID friendly

Very nice. I had a sudden need to get my 2 cats ready to fly. I didn't realize how hard it was to get them in, plus my cats were not ready to be picked up and shoved into a cages. They helped us make the plane. They have been my veterinarians for many years and I'm sorry we are leaving.

Friendly, truely lover of animals. Genuinely want the best for their furry friends and owners. Great vet.

Always had great interactions with the Vets & the other staff. We had two 'geriatric'(11 to 13yrs) 60lbs dogs they've been great with. Routine checks and maintenance medications. Always practical and willing to discuss options.

As always they were helpful, thoughtful, and answered all of my questions. We've been going there for about 25 years and wouldn't go anywhere else.

They take excellent care of my animals

They were friendly, although they were booked they recommended someone else. Didn't seem very professional, sort of laughed when I asked if they had an appointment in the next couple days. A bit condescending really, like I should know they were booked for the next month or some such thing.

Was frustrated that I called a week in advance for copy of medical records and when I drove an hour to get them on Saturday there was no record of my call and they blew me off.

They will tell you how it is. If you don't like that, find a vet that will sugarcoat it for you.

This place is absolutely the best! Everyone there is so caring and compassionate. They take donated items to help out people who might have a hard time coming up with enough money to take care of their fur babies. It's also really neat that all of the vets, techs and etc are women!

This place has an amazing staff and very caring veterinarians. Top notch animal care.

Best vets in Anchorage. Been with this vet for 25+ years and they are amazing! Most experienced surgical team, work on many Iditarod dogs, get you in fast as possible, and they work with you on what you can afford for your pets. I can not say enough positive things about the people here. They really go above and beyond.

The front desk staff is rude, beyond rude. They call to say something is ready to pick up, then when you show up they say they aren’t ready and blow you off. The vet doesn’t seem to have a plan of care and will only suggest regular revisits, blood tests ever 2 weeks for months on end, and will not work within a reasonable budget. The entire staff can’t remember if they prescribed 5mg or 50mg every time we pick up a prescription (5 different visits, 5 times they can’t recall what was prescribed).

Very good place, Vets were kind caring and completely incompetent

Absolutely amazing. My dog turned aggressive at age 6 and they have always been kind and understanding. He also had the big C and they were so doting and attentive. 6 years later, he is always well cared for and loved when I take him in. The staff is so sweet and patient, I couldn't have better things to say about them. No hesitation, they are fabulous!

I was there waiting for them to open the doors at 7 a.m. because I was concerned about the job I have recently adopted from shelter there was absolutely no one else anywhere to be seen but they could not take time to do a free check on a car that concerns me
