I called this company to set up as a new client and they were 5 weeks out. I was willing to wait and booked an appointment. 5 weeks went by and when I called to confirm I found out I had missed my appointment by a couple days. They were curt as to why they don't offer reminder calls, but we all get busy and I had forgotten as it was 5 weeks out. When they told me the next appointment was in November I said I'll probably have to make other arrangements. They abruptly ended the call without a care of losing business. Bottom line if they are treating new or potential customers in this manner, how are they treating the animals.

We’ve just picked up our two pups after three weeks of boarding and I had to share the attentiveness and love given to our kiddos. Ben & Sierra (the owners) treat every dog like family and are always looking out for their well-being. If you’re looking for a reliable daycare or boarding for your pup, I cannot recommend them enough.

I started taking my 3 y/o here for the doggy companionship and help with exercise. It is very clean and large spaces for the dogs. Big dogs are divided from small dogs..... She loves going here and I love taking her. They know her by name the minute we walk in and she is exhausted when I pick her up. They are super friendly here and really seem to love my dog????. I purchased a half days punchcard and saved quite a bit. If you are truly searching, this is a great place to leave your fur-baby!

I brought my newly rescued pup to Arctic Tails a year ago. We’ve been coming in for doggy care every week since then! We love it!! He gets to run around and play with a variety of dogs his size, play with toys, bubbles, snow, and learning things like recall, etc. He comes home worn out and happy. Ben & Sierra have been informative, professional, and have gone over the top to help my new pup feel safe. It’s convenient to be able to get his nails trimmed there as well. I will definitely utilize their boarding services, the next time I go out of town. I’ve had great service from their employees, and receive frequent feedback on how my pup did or what he’s learning. I highly recommend Arctic Tails for your dog-big or small.

Maybe not the best choice for a puppy (UPDATE at bottom)... We were excited to bring our 10 month old pup to daycare for socialization. She's very playful and we've never had an incident with her at dog parks or on trails. Arctic tails seemed like a great choice since they get great reviews, the facility seems clean, and the owners are friendly. During the evaluation the owner, Ben, brought out his husky that seemed tolerant enough of our pup. While filling out paperwork, the husky decided it had enough and bit our dog on the nose --resulting in blood everywhere. The bite seemed superficial enough but my wife brought her home with intention of bring her back the next day. Over night we realized that there was a second deep puncture in her forehead. By the time we got her the veterinarian, our pup's entire face was swollen and it was obvious that the wound was infected. We know that injuries happen and that our pup still has much to learn about communication -- we are usually more cautious with other dogs -- but my wife was surprised when this incident happened with Ben in the room during the evaluation. Furthermore, the owners never called us to check on things even though we were scheduled to come by the next day. I hope that this review helps the owners improve! UPDATE: After I posted this review with 2-stars, the owner called us and apologized and offered to pay our vet bill. We didn't expect him to pay our bill but we're glad that he followed up with us. I've updated my review to 3-stars.

I love the daycare providers at Arctic Tails. My pup looks forward to going everyday. They make sure that the pups are supervised at all times and do obedience/tricks training too. I believe it is really obvious that the folks here love the pups who go here and it does. They've also are willing to making accommodations for my pup without nickel and dining. Overall, I believe the folks here go above and beyond in caring for my pup and I appreciate it.

I take my Weimaraner here as well, once a week and he just loves this place. I bring him on Tuesday morning and when we get close he can't wait to get out of the truck to go play

Our 5-month old Akita puppy loves Arctic Tails. She goes for a 1/2 day 2-3 times per week and always so excited when we head in that direction. The owners are very knowledgeable, and Ben has helped tremendously with helping her calm down before entering and exiting the facility. She's a big puppy, and very stubborn at times but gets along very well with the staff and other dogs. Returns home exhausted and sleeps all evening which is great.

Everyone there is so nice and helpful. Shop is very cool, tons of local product and everything your outdoor pup would need!

I have an American Bully pup who loves going to daycare. He is very excited and happy when we drive up. Everyone is always happy to tell me how Bunch is doing. Is he playing well with others? Bunch is a big boy at 5 months and He has felt very welcome. Of course he had to go through an assessment first. No shortcuts on care. Did I mention everyone from owners to attendants are great and from what I have seen from Bunch and other dogs that I have seen there, I can confidently recommend Arctic Tails for your doggos.

A haven for spoiled dogs. The absolute best kennel in Anchorage.

Our girls have been going to Arctic Tails for 9 years, for daycare, boarding and grooming. We have always been very pleased and highly recommend them.

We use Arctic Tails for daycare and boarding for our 4 year old lab. They do a great job, and really do care about the dogs. When we drop off our dog for boarding or daycare the staff get excited to see him. We appreciate knowing that he is safe and has a good time when he is there. The prices are comparable to other daycares in Anchorage, the only downside is that they are closed most of the day Saturday and all day Sunday, so we tend to have to board him for an extra night or two due to those schedule constraints.

My dog was attacked here and they didnt tell us she was attacked until we found a open wound on the top of her head. She also got kennel cough while she was there.

The groomer is great, I drop my 2 dogs off in the morning and can pick them up by lunch!

The staff and owners really care about dogs. They are very friendly and they really look after the dogs. The groomer does a great job!. It is very clean. The ownership recently changed (8/15/2016) and they are remodeling the areas the dogs are in to make our pets as comfortable and happy as possible during their stay. It is located on the corner of 84th and Sandlewood.
