I have been using Chastain Animal Clinic for my dog since she was a puppy. We have always received excellent care and everyone is there has always been so helpful. We recently visited due to my dog having a really bad case of diarrhea and saw Dr. Miller. She was really good at explaining things and was able to provide medication that had my dog feeling much better by the next morning. I definitely will continue to use Chastain Animal Clinic as my veterinarian.

My baby had surgery yesterday and I was nervous but they sat and talk to me and explain everything in detail and took very good care of her she is home and is doing just fine I can’t thank them enough

Customer service above and beyond. Doctor Viscoe and her team have amazing bedside manners and patience. Didn’t feel rushed evwn with bringing in 4 cats! I drive over 30 min to come here become I have been a client for almost 20 years.

We moved out the area, and still bring our pets here. Dr. Smith and her team care for our fur babies like they were their own.

From the first time I called I knew this was the best place to take my baby Zoey. The staff is amazing. I wouldn’t take my baby no where else. Thanks for being awesome!!!!!!!

For those of us who are extremely attached to our pets - this is the best place. And for those who are not attached to their pets, this is the beat place for you too. Chastain Animal Clinic genuinely cares. The best!

Dr Smith and staff were awesome. They took such wonderful care of my drama king of a dog at his yearly physical!!

Staff and doctors are nice but I’m getting aggravated with the way my experience is going. My dog had to have a surgery on his leg to remove a growth. Surgery went fine and doctor communicated everything that happened. Fast forward to after surgery. I was informed that now my dog will need regular bandage changes ($50 each) until his wound heals. The first bandage was wrapped too tight and had to be replaced (I had to pay for the initial bandage and replacement). Was advised to keep my original appointment (only a few days later) to change his bandage again. There has been no soak through of his bandages and he is on antibiotics. Just got his bandage replaced on Friday and his paw is now looking swollen again. Have an appt for later in the week but will more than likely have to take him in sooner to get it replaced. This will be $200 in on just bandage changes (after paying close to 2k for surgery just a couple weeks ago). Getting tired of having to go back earlier than scheduled to replace a bandage that’s as wrapped too tight and having to pay again. I feel like my dog is cared for but can’t help but wonder if $$$ is a factor here. $50 seems high just for a bandage change and the fact that I’m having to go back sooner than scheduled again (and getting charged again) to rewrap a tight bandage is getting excessive. I’m a veteran on a limited budget (was given a small veterans discount…which im grateful for) and I explained this to the clinic. Was just advised to open a credit account. My experience seems to be motivated by how much money they can get out of this which is disheartening.

My appointment was as 4:15 I called and told them I would be three minutes late due to traffic and she goes to tell me that I wouldn’t be able to be seen because of the “Paper work” after you guys called me last week the day of my kittens appointment to tell me I wouldn’t be able to be seen because the doctor is sick.... it’s literally my third and last time making an appointment with them because I honestly don’t think paper work would take 15 minutes especially if you informed them you don’t know anything about the kitten from the age to gender, I wouldn’t recommend this place to no one.

I love Chastain Animal Clinic! They have been caring for my pets since the 90's and I would never go anywhere else. The Dr.'s and entire staff are so caring. They are the best!

Dr. Visco is honest and open about treatment and tries to give options in treatment when needed. She and the entire staff understand what our pets mean to us and they are friendly, helpful, empathetic and sympathetic. I couldn’t ask for better veterinary care for my fur babies!!

I boarded my pet while I vacationed and I was there to pick up my baby. Meggie and I were happy to see each other.

Great place to bring a puppy ????

If I could give this experience 0 stars I would. This vet has zero respect for someone’s time. I had an appointment for 2:15 for yearly shots, during which they told me it would be “a few minutes.” Fast forward to 2:30, I call them again asking if they can give me an ETA for when they’ll come get my dog, to which they reply “she’ll be in within a few minutes.” Fast forward again to a call at 2:40, which they tell me “it’ll be around 5 minutes.” Another 15 minutes passed by, after which I decided that I’d had enough. I understand running a few minutes late, but for a customer to have to wait almost an hour in the car is disrespectful and disingenuous.. Paces Ferry Veterinary Clinic was always my go to, not only because they’ve taken good care of my dog, but above all they respect their clients’ time, and for that reason, I’ll never come back to Chastain, and keep going to Paces Ferry Vet.

great staff/short wait

I have a vet that I’ve been with for a couple years now and they happened to be completely booked on a day where my dog woke up very sick. I called Chastain Animal Clinic and they were able to get me in that morning. They took great care of my him and diagnosed him appropriately.

Dr. Van Gelder and staff are wonderful! They truly do treat my fur baby like she’s their own. We will be back.

The person I spoke to on the phone and technician who came to my car were polite and answered questions. I was curious why I followed instructions posted on the door and when speaking by phone to someone, yet, when I arrived and parked out front, I watched others drive up and walk right in with their pets and exit later before my pet had been seen?

First time taking our puppy to the vet and it was a great experience. Very professional and took their time to explain everything they were doing to me.

After feeling frustrated with the service at my former vet, I decide to try Chastain and I’m so glad I did! Everyone I met was attentive and friendly. Their fees are reasonable and they really took their time with my cats exam and answering all my questions. I feel like my girls are in great hands!

They are the absolute best. Very friendly and caring I love it. I will definitely start taking both of my dogs here.

There are only positive things to say about Chastain Animal Clinic. Even when my dog needs to go in for surgery, he comes home happy. He needed dental cleaning and, even after anesthesia, came back home his normal happy self. They are truly caring while totally professional. Rare.

I’ve been taking my Shih Tsu here for years and I must say the staff and the doctors are the beat we’ve ever experienced. Dr. Visco is my preferred doctor but all the doctors there are pretty great. Attentive to your pets needs, follows up appropriately, knows your pet and pet history like their own.

The staff is wonderful and very compassionate. They have also handled the pandemic very well. Kudos to those wonderful techs and the sweet front desk staff who have been working so hard during such trying circumstances! Dr. Visco has been a wonderful support during difficult times with my senior dogs
