This clinic is OUTSTANDING. The staff and the doctors (vets) are great. Customer service and the Vets services leave nothing to desire. We have had them for years and they only get better. Dr. Fitz saved our Cocker Spaniel when it was just about too late. They keep you updated on the condition of your pets if they are admitted to the clinic. We would not go to another clinic unless absolutely and I mean ABSOLUTELY demanded. On a scale of 1 to 10 this clinic and staff are at 100.

Took my Starr baby in here last month for parvo symptoms. They immediately referred us out to ER Vet as knew right away she most likely had parvo and would need more intensive treatment. They were very kind and I would definitely return should we need further assistance for any of our companion animals!

Dr. Pate and Savannah took great care of my cat, Otto! They are professional, caring and personable. Also, Dr. Pate has a wealth of knowledge concerning home care for my baby and he shares it freely. Great clinic!

was diagnosis having Cushing disease, Had a parametria instead and even ask Dr Horton could we please check this out to see what's going on because my other dogs were noising around her behind and ask if she could have a UTI. she said it looked like Cushing disease and had a whole day to do a test, the test was inclusive, but she told me she had Cushing and I didn't find this out until my other vet looked at the test. thats not the bad part. she said we shouldn't rust to treat her, my dog was in pain from 7/20 until 9/7. on 9/1 I went back in because my dog was worse, thats when she said she had parametria and with Cushing should be out down. my dog is 14 years and 6 months. I contacted my old vet and ran her over there and she stated the test didn't show Cushing and that the parametria would mimic the same symptoms... my dog had surgery and is a live and well with No parametria an no Cushing disease! DONT LET YOUR DOG SEE DR HORTON! I have yet gotten a call from the owner or that Vet!

My geriatric cat, Leah, was evaluated by Dr. Horton last week. Leah could not keep anything down and clearly was not well. Dr. Horton pulled some labs, gave Leah fluids, anti-nausea medicine, and something for pain. I really appreciate Dr. Horton’s boundless energy as she explained everything to me and answered all my questions. Further, I am very thankful for Dr. Horton’s kind attention to Leah…and me as well. Leah is eating once again and is much better.

The staff at West Rome Animal Clinic took excellent care of our sweet Muffin. She is an older dog, so we felt comfortable leaving her with these caring people. She stayed six days while we were on vacation. She was able to get updated shots, and when we returned for her, she was healthy and happy. We could enjoy our vacation, because we were confident that she was in the best of hands. Thank you to Kyle and the rest of the staff at West Rome Animal Clinic!

West Rome Animal Clinic took my dog Judy in for emergency bladder stone surgery when another vet in town turned me away. Dr. Horton and her team were nothing short of amazing - staying in contact with me frequently to keep my nerves down and explaining the situation thoroughly and in a way I could understand. The vet techs were knowledgeable and so helpful. They have earned a new client in me and my pets for sure! Thank you for your compassion and kindness and for helping Judy by fitting her into your busy surgery schedule.

I recently had to make the tough decision to put down my cat of 10 years. The staff at West Rome was extremely caring and helpful to me through the process. Dr. Coffman and Dr. Fitzpatrick are extremely knowledgeable and I felt like they took time to educate me enough to make an informed decision. The staff is all friendly and it feels like a loving place, which is super important to me, as I imagine it is to most of us who love our babies!

I had an emergency situation with my dog not too long ago and I called every vet in town and no one would take her in that day except for west Rome animal clinic. They worked her into their schedule that day and were so thorough with her care and treatment. They were gentle with her and kind to us and left out no details when explaining what was wrong with our pup. The staff are so friendly and uplifting. We’ve decided to make this our regular vet for our pets, we were more than satisfied with the care they provided for our furbaby! I highly recommend them and they’re affordable as well compared to other vet clinics in and around rome. Thanks so much to west Rome animal clinic for taking care of our fur babies when we bring them in and for being attentive, kind, compassionate, and positive! ❤️

I have 3 dogs and they are like the Goldilocks bears. One is sweet, kind and has never meet a stranger, one is mild mannered and somewhat cautious, and one is nervous and only likes to be held by mom and dad. When choosing a vet or groomer you rely on how your dog reacts to specific people. My oldest dog doesn’t like strangers and she will let you know that your in her space. Dr Pate and his staff at West Rome Animal clinic are the only ones my dog will let touch. They handle every animal with respect, professionalism and love. You’ll truly never find a better vet in Rome.
