This store is always exceptionally clean. The animals are very well kept and guarded for for their protection and health. Great place for your reptile needs. Owners are very knowledgeable.

This place is awesome! Very knowledgeable employees, and they take amazing care of the animals! Down to making sure your hands are clean before touching any animals. They have a diverse selection of animals, and everything you need to care for them. We bought a dwarf rabbit for our daughter and came back to buy his brother. Very pleased. Highly recommend!

What a great Experience and impression from start to finish! We were looking for a second ferret for a daughter. We had previously purchased one from an alternate competing larger chain and the experience was very lackluster as any questions we asked them were met with haste and “I’m too busy” type of feeling. After we did buy a ferret from them we would call and ask questions only to go through a labyrinth of automated detours as we labored to try to speak to a real individual. When we finally did reach someone, once again they could only tell us to call an 800 number to get further questions about our ferret which we purchased from them. Fast forward to yesterday, we called Panhandle Exotics and spoke with Chris. I was instantly amazed at the vastness of knowledge that he possessed as he was able to answer every question quickly and thoroughly and I’m sure very patiently. I was actually very amazed that I did not detect any frustration in his voice as I was asking question after question. I was very thrilled with his answers and happy that he had two ferrets of a younger age and I expressed to him that I would be on my way to get them. We were very excited. We embarked on the 38 minute drive to his business, only to find out that they had closed 30 minutes prior. Chris not only had waited for us to get there, but once again greeted us very enthusiastically and without a “ hurry-up” type of attitude. He once again took time to make sure that we were very happy with the purchase and answered any questions and gave us all the information that we could need and made sure we had all of his contact numbers and he even has an app through the Apple store for his store that we can install for more information. Very friendly, very friendly, very friendly! The overall store was very exciting. They had all different kinds of animals from the every day type of pigs and reptiles and dogs and fox and mice to more exotics that I don’t even know what they were ,lol. Anyway, as we were leaving My daughter and I were thinking the same thing, that we would definitely come back to this place over and over. I cannot say enough how pleased we were with our experience there and we would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. What a great experience from start to finish!

Sad seeing the state of their reptile cages. Their leopard gecko cage has 3 babies in a 10 gallon tank with one that dropped its tail. One hide and the other is un accessible.

Always a pleasure to go visit the animals and get supplies for my own. Follow the rules there and you will love them too!

Nice place. They know what they're doing. And you can find things here that you're not going to find in any other pet store. If you are serious reptile collector you need to check with these people. If you looking for that special animal or a show pet check with these people.

Absolutely love this place! They always have all kinds of different animals to look at, the staff is very friendly an helpful. Just wish they weren't closed on Mondays ???? this is 1 of only 2 places in pensacola that i can get the live feeder mice for my snake Willow (just over a yr old ball python)

Seeing as I am not from Florida this was the most amazing pet store with the most unique animals and selection I have ever seen. As someone just interested in looking at the animals as I or someone interested in having an exotic pet this was an amazing pet store with extremely friendly employees and don't forget the Emu that walks around freely and welcomes you. With everything from spiders and snakes to pigs and alligators this is a must-see store

Really fun time talking to one of the owners about plants and fish. It's always nice when you can see someone's heart is in their job. This place has come leaps and bounds from the place I visited (not just the location changed) years ago. All the way around improvement????????????

Their amazing people Dakota was just the most helpful with the turtle I purchased his name is Romeo and having a wonderful New Life he eats a lot even though we're not sure if he's male or female he got the name Romeo so we assume he's a male but I would have to say Dakota was the most helpful on the reptile side!

The owners are wonderful family friends of mine, I trust them the most for anything exotic, care tips, healthy animals, fair prices and anything else you might need!

Love all the diffrent animals!

A pet store unlike any other. This shop has critters that you definitely will not find at your local chain and the staff was knowledgeable, courteous and willing to put up with the multitude of exotic animal questions I asked. Also, not every pet store has an emu just strolling around and mingling with customers. This local establishment is not just a store, it's also an exotic wildlife experience. Show these folks some love and support local. *** Please do extensive research and preparation before buying any exotic pet. A lot of exotics have extensive care and feeding requirements and some grow to "unmanageable" sizes rather quickly. Again, please do right by exotic animals and make sure you are very well prepared and informed before bringing home a new friend.

I found the state of the animals very poor. I never leave reviews, this is my first ever, but after the rude interaction here I am forced to. You can read the other negative reviews and see the god awful responses to get a sense of these people. Good luck with any future endeavors.
