Love this place!! The staff is incredibly helpful and the vets provide loving care to our pets. The prices are very reasonable. We are so happy to have found this place!

I went to the Animal Hospital of Pensacola to get a second opinion regarding my lab who was extremely sick. The difference in the way Dr Heath and everyone there treated my lab with compassion and concern was a remarkable difference in my former vet. Very professional, caring and thorough. Also my lab is way better now . Thanks so much!!!!!

I had an emergency and had to find a vet quick bc mine was out of town. AH got me in 2 days sooner and immediately took him in to perform surgery. Of course it was pricey but what can you expect? Surgery is surgery and pets are or should be like your children. I left my GS w/ them @9:30a.m and they called me at 3:30 to lmk he was available when I was ready. They gave great details on how to care for him, do’s/font’s, and 2 more checkups. Very impressed and I highly recommend.

Very friendly and attentive!!! We came in for a possible ear infection while visiting some family in foley right around the holidays. The tech Kim was super sweet and gave my baby Banjo lots of little treats while he was being seen by the doctor. They were very understanding of him being nervous and even sat on the floor to make him feel more comfortable. After his exam Dr. Tracy gave him some peanut butter which I thought was so thoughtful. Overall great experience and I would highly recommend this animal hospital to any dog parents in the area!!!

Believe the reviews about the unprofessionalism. Just had Ashley cut me off while talking and then hang up in my face after saying she could see my dog at 6pm. I called back to speak to Ashley’s boss only to find out Ashley only has an office manager, who’s unavailable” and actually did not schedule my dog for an appointment at 6pm. I was given the reason that her behavior was not intentional, that we are all human and have our bad days, and they are so busy. I’m sorry, but being rude and hanging up in someone’s face is very intentional and was very deliberate. If you can’t handle a busy business, then maybe you should not be in business! I’m sure this is not the first complaint Ashley has received but I’m convinced it’s allowed. One thing is for sure, you won’t receive my business! I will say the second lady i spoke with was very kind and did her best to make things right. Unfortunately, Ashley’s attitude and excuses for her attitude just doesn’t make me believe you guys actually care about what you are doing! Three words: Customer Service Training

Great staff! I think you can use curbside or go in with your pet but I wasn't sure of the options, so used curbside.

I brought my 18 year old cat Fritzie in to be euthanized. She was very thin, only 4 lbs. I was told by the tech that she had to start an IV for sedation and then the euthanasia drug. I asked her if there is any other way to sedate her, because I didn't think she would be able to find a vein on her. She said she could inject a sedative to make her very sleepy. I asked if she could give her enough to knock her out completely, so she wouldn't feel the IV going in. She said that wasn't possible, the only way to do that was to put her in a box and give her gas. I knew being put in a box would really scare Fritz, so I opted to try the injection sedation and we waited 15 minutes, but my cat never got very sleepy. Then the tech came back to start the IV. Couldn't find one, tried twice, my cat howling in pain...I was upset to see her suffer and finally asked the tech to please use the gas. She took Fritzie in another room and when she returned the IV was in and she was somewhat sedated. Then the vet came in, administered the euthanasia drug and it was done. I asked her why the tech could not have sedated Fritzie enough to knock her out and she said: she could have, probably didn't give her enough sedation! It was an awful experience. The tech was a young woman, thin, dark hair and ponytail with a very uncaring attitude. I made it clear that I didn't want Fritz to suffer, and that should have been easy enough, had she just injected enough of the sedation drug. Never ever come here to have an animal euthanized!

This Hospital is a blessing for me. They are always kind, they take the time to answer questions, they let you know how much they’ll charge in advance, etc. My dog suffers anxiety and they are able to treat him and groomed him.

5 Stars in 2018 1 Star in 2021 Please avoid at all costs. Premium Costs, Mediocre Service. (Exam fees have increased 50% in 3 years, many benefits cut/gone) Edit 12/18/2021 Since we have been coming here, its slowly gone downhill. The Wellness plan has lot several great benefits and is no longer cost effective except for puppies. Their hours were cut back (see Edit 6/20/21). It's a constant fight when you have a wellness plan for them to apply discounts properly. Wait times are often excessive. I was 10 mins late for an appointment once and it was cancelled. I have waited 45 mins to an hour for a scheduled appointment before. They got rid of their "loyalty stamps" program. And even though my pup had a full wellness exam and updated her vaccines in October, they want to charge another exam fee 2 months later for Bordetella. This would result in me having to pay for 3 exams in a year because of the way her vaccine schedule was when we adopted her. Edit: 6/20/2021 Have to knock down to 3 stars due to their hours change. The prices are high but having a staffed vet at night and on weekends made it worth it. Hopefully other areas do not suffer as well. Thankfully weekends are still there but no longer open til 10pm which means unnecessary vet bills at the emergency vet if anything happens after work. 2/2019: Overall I have had very positive experiences here. There was one situation that I felt I should have been alerted to a poison control center and wasn't, but I trust them with my animals both in health care and boarding. I have yet to use their grooming services yet.

Everyone seemed very nice when I visited, but I don't trust them anymore. I'm not sure whether they are money hungry or ignorant. My dog had a sore on her paw and I ended up paying at least $800 in tests that all came back negative while they kept prescribing antibiotics that didn't make a difference. One sore became multiple and her paws were so infected there were holes developing in between her toes. They did refer me to a dermatologist after about 3 months of dealing with this issue, but that was going to cost another $1700. Took to Davis Animal Hospital and they told me to soak her paws in a bleach bath once a day and gave me a $20 ointment to put on after. Paws were better within a week and sores were completely gone in 3 weeks. Sad that my dog (and my wallet) suffered much longer than necessary. The nail trims were also poor, they cut too far on some and she came out bleeding each time and some were jagged and split so I had to try and grind them smooth when we got back home.

I’ve never had an issue with this veterinarian office at all, it’s perfectly clean and the staff are extremely helpful and caring. One very kind nurse or receptionist even took the liberty to printing out some sheets on what my dog had exactly so I could learn more about it. I would easily recommend this place to anybody.

My pets and I have been very happy here and we have been coming to Animal Hospital for years. They have convenient hours, beyond the normal 8 - 5. The front desk workers are AMAZING. They know you and your pets by name. The front desk workers are also extremely knowledgeable. They are SO MUCH MORE than "schedulers"!!! All the doctors and Vet Techs treat your pet with sensitivity. They never want a pup to be nervous. And, they remember the pups' names. I have 4 grown children and Animal Hospital feels like the caring pediatrician my kids had. They also utilize a very helpful app. I routinely order medicine using it. The app sends me reminders of upcoming needs, like shots, etc... This helps a busy working person. We also use their grooming service The groomers put cute bows and bandanas on the pups. More importantly, they don't keep the pups there all day, like some groomers. They get finished and text me. I REALLY appreciate that. However, if I am still at work, they will keep the girls until I get off.

I take my cat and dog here, and we have never had a bad experience. Some people say it’s pricey, but the service we have received has always been excellent, the techs are all very nice, and I’ve called them before just to ask advice for small problems and they were happy to help. We’re moving to Virginia soon and I’m genuinely worried about finding a vet as good and reliable as the Animal Hospital.

All the staff from the front desk, the technicians and vet showed so much kindness to my family and my dog. The staff was compassionate, sympathetic, respectful and professional on one of the worst days of my life. My husband and I decided to send our dog Kyoko over the rainbow bridge. The facility is immaculate and very clean. All staff were taking safety precautions and wearing masks. They made this grieving moment as smooth as possible. They explained every step thoroughly and gave us all the time we needed to process and say goodbye. My family is so grateful for what they have done for us. Animal Hospital of Pensacola will always have a special place in our hearts. We will be keeping the card they gave us forever.
