We took our dog in last night for breathing difficulties. The staff took him back right away and were very up front about cost and compassionate. It was so nice to hear how adorable my sweet boy was by anyone that interacted with him. Ultimately, we had to make the difficult decision to have to put him down to end his pain and suffering. The staff gave us all the time we needed and were very compassionate and the vet even re-explained our options and helped us through our decision. My only wish is that that same compassion was shown when they weren’t going to be making money. Nobody offered to do anything kind to help us remember our beloved family member by—except for paying for his cremation and having to pay an extra fee to have his remains delivered to our house because we just moved here and haven’t found a vet here yet. When I asked if I could get his paw print it was as if I had asked them to perform a procedure for free. When my husband asked if they just had an ink pad and paper so we could do that, we were told that we would arrange all of that with the cremation service. We were only able to get a few pieces of his hair with my husbands pocket knife and I wish we could have gotten more and his paw print to save forever. I now have to call the cremation service and select our package that will hopefully include a paw print—aka spend even more money for something the office could have helped us achieve as we were unexpectedly saying goodbye. An ink pad and some paper costs a few dollars to have on hand—and will mean the absolute world to pet parents to be able to walk out with something more than an empty collar and leash. Overall, I’m pleased with the care and compassion that we received, but very much so felt that we only receive that care and compassion when money is involved. Unfortunately, some pet parents have no choice but to bring their dog to an emergency vet and sometimes have to leave without them. A little extra kindness in those moments would have gone a long way.

Found a stray kitten at work eyes and nose almost completely crusted shut and completely skin and bones. I couldn't keep it so I called a couple vets trying to find someone to take it I and I was turned here so I drove 40 minutes to get …

If I could only give 0 stars. See Roberts review from 5 days ago. That is the only honest review I see here. These people are horrible if you need any type of actual follow up care. They should only be allowed to fix broken animals and be done because that is where their capabilities end. No one ever calls you back. They give you no clear way forward for care for your animal. If you ask to talk to a manager you get a different person every time. All we really received was excuses.

Beware! My mom took her shi tzu in for a breathing issue and he came out paralyzed! They told her on the phone that he wasn’t walking right. She chose to pick him up against their advice. When she picked him up, he couldn’t walk at all! She took him the his regular vet who suggested a surgeon for him. His current vet surgeon did surgery on his spine and said there is so much damage to his spine! Neither administrator nor doctor at this place will return calls from my mom. They charged her $2100 for an overnight stay! They won’t tell her what happened! More details to follow!

My son took his puppy there because it was throwing up blood. They still had not received service after 4 hours. The puppy was only taken back once it quit breathing. It died there. Then, they wanted to charge $500 instead of the $200ish quoted. You are better off to go somewhere else.

Our dog had its back broken by staff and now is paralyzed and close to death. In follow up after our personal vet and Animal surgeon verified by x-rays and Mri of a severe trauma had occurred that left our dog in great pain and no explanation except to run more test at up front costs of thousands of dollars paid in advance to treat our dog who walked into the emergency clinic with no previous issues and then the next morning our dog could not walk. I have tried to contact the emergency clinic manager and they have responded to me. Beware

Treated us very well. Seemed genuinely caring about my fur baby. As with any emergency veterinarian the prices are high just like going to a human ER.

We had a very serious emergency with our little shih tzu. These folks took over and saved him from total paralysis. I can't say enough about the care and compassion he received along with calling us daily with updates. I have never experienced such great service.

So thankful for all of the staff being so fast and professional. They help my English bulldog deliver 6 beautiful and healthy pups on Christmas day. I would use them for all emergency visits for any of my pets!

Took my cat here for sudden onset of seizures. They took great care of her and kept me informed of her progress, and made sure I was comfortable with her treatment plan. Even when they were busy they took the time to ensure my questions is finally back home and on the mend. she is finally back home and on the mend. ♡

I can't say enough good things about the people who work here. It all started with Lauren at the front desk. She is so understanding and helpful when it came to making an appointment. Dr. Nanai is exceptional! She contacted me everyday and sometimes at night throughout my Buddy's stay. I don't think she ever goes home. I wish she could see all my babies on a non-emergency status. Upon picking my baby up I was given my take home instructions by Cassidy. She has the patience of a saint! I had a million questions and she answered all of them. She told me to call if I come up with anymore. She even walked me and Buddy out to the vehicle because I was so nervous and needed help getting organized. Wow, who does that? I could seriously think of a couple of veterinarian clinics that could learn a thing or two from these kind hearted people. Love you guys, keep up the good work, you rock! Laura Weiland

Last Friday night, my 3.5 lb Yorkie was struck in the face accidentally and was bleeding profusely. As it was late at night, the only option was to drive the 60 mile distance to the Veterinary Emergency Referal Center. The Center was very busy and the two Vet Docs on duty were preparing for surgery, however, Dr. Eyles took a few minutes to look at Nemo and suggest an outpatient treatment plan that has resulted in Nemo’s full recovery. I was very pleased with the care given Nemo and the courtesy and professionalism of Dr Eyles, the vet tech, and receptionist at 2 a.m. on a busy and stormy night !!! 5 Star Service !!! Thank you all !!!

It’s sad this place is the only 24 hour vet around Pensacola. Told them the issue with my cat , made me wait for hours and then say it’s gonna be 3,000$? When they haven’t even ran one test or looked at my catyet . Then once the doctor actually looked at him he diagnosed and I got medicine . The employees don’t care about what’s going on with your animal . Very unprofessional!

I called them to see if they could help me understand what was wrong with my pet bird. While I was waiting on hold my bird literally died in my hands. And I was pretty much on hold for 20 minutes. My birds death is on your hands!

We were traveling when our Lily became sick The doctors here were great. They checked her out and provided meds that improved her condition quickly.

I brought my dog here bc his paw became very swollen and he couldn’t walk….. They took us back shortly after we got there (it still took HOURS) and proposed an elaborate spreadsheet of costs for his care. Can we look at his paw first? I appreciate the heads up that you are super expensive but I expected that coming to an after hours emergency vet. I wish you would have spent half as much time caring for my dog as you did making his “care plan”. They took him back for an x-ray and brought him back with FLEAS crawling on him!!!!! He is on Trifexis and I have never seen fleas on him. They couldn’t figure out what was wrong, and proposed keeping him over night until they could do exploratory surgery the next day for possible abscess. Had I wanted to wait until the next day I would have just taken an appointment at a regular vets office. I ended up cutting my vacation short and going back home. The only benefit out of the $600 was he got pain meds. This was broken into 2 separate transactions which required multiple “care plans”.

They are very good at charging you a lot of money but poor service. The average wait time is TWO to THREE hours and the quality of the care is poor.

Horrible horrible people skills! Horrible response to a HBC. They were like snails in regards to even looking at the dog. Took them over 45 minutes to exam the dog. NOTHING POSITIVE TO SAY ABOUT THIS PLACE WHATSOEVER! I will drive to Mobile next time before I use this place again. I leave such a negative posting because I worked in emergency medicine as a vet tech, 8 years at an educational institution and private practice, and know how things go. This place is JUST AWFUL! NO WONDER THEY HAVE SUCH LOW RATINGS.
