The absolute best after over 25 years or maybe 30+ years!!

My pup got into rat poison and wasn’t sure if she actually ate any. Dr Casey was great with both of us. She got labs and gave her a thorough exam and gave her the appropriate treatment. She called me later with the lab results and what to look for. Very caring and professional staff. We have used Hoke Animal for over 35 years and have trusted them with all our 4 legged babies.

I've used Dr Hoke sense the mid 80s. I could not ask for a better dr for my babies. He always went out of his way to help. I'm not as familiar with the drs there now but I'm sure he has brought in only the best.

I took my dog there for a check up and everyone was great. We had a nice time. The vet was knowledgeable and the assistant was helpful and we all got along swimmingly.

Dr. Rutter is amazing. I met her at a previous location and went back to her after she came to Hoke. Candi at the front desk is also great to work with and always kind. Dr.Rutter is compassionate and smart. She is always willing to discuss options w me and next steps. She has helped me through kidney failure and the passing of my precious dog. Guided me through the elder years or my cat. Who by the way hates most people but likes her! Also love my newest dog since the first day I brought her in at 13 weeks old with have a swollen face from being stung, through all her medical and surgeries to the 4 years old she will be in a few months. I dont know what I would do without her guidance with my most wonderful parts of my days, my animals.

The complete staff were more than professional, and understanding. The vet listened to my concerns, gave precise instructions, and they also called several days later for a follow up.

We brought our elderly cat here because something was severely wrong with him. They could not squeeze us in (which is understandable) and told us the only thing they would do is euthanize him, keep in mind they did not even examine him. It was extremely heartless and insensitive. I will never recommend this place to anyone. Visit Eastwood Animal Clinic if you want a vet that is not insensitive and does not recommend euthanasia without even examining your pet. Dr. Webber was also booked this day but still allowed us to be seen.

The staff was sweet and they truly care about the animals. Plus Dr. Tucker was super knowledgeable and gave great insight.

We’ve taken all our cats and dogs there for years. Mike Hoke has retired but the Vets there are the best. I feel like they love my critters as much as I do.

i first started coming to hoke in the 1980s (when dr hoke himself was the only one running the place) as a little girl with my dad with our rescue dogs. thirty five years later i still bring my pets (dogs and cats) to hoke. they have my utmost trust and confidence in their knowledge expertise and compassion for my pets. they also have a down home approach that reminds me of my dad who always chose places of business for their function and practicality (and who knew what they were doing) over pricier options with lots of fan fare or excess. hoke keeps things simple, but the staff, in their knowledge and care of families and their pets, is not; they go above and beyond. my pets and i are treated like family.

Dr. Davies is so accommodating. Takes special care with the animals and their owners. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable as well. Cost is also reasonable.

I know the facility and staff very well. My mommy and daddy take me there when I don't feel very well and everyone there always make me feel loved. The ladies at the front desk (Angela, Linda, Monya & Denise) give me treats, hugs and kisses as soon as I walk in!! WHO WOULDN'T LOVE THIS PLACE!! My doctor is the BEST (Dr. A. Giambrone) in my opinion. I do love the other doctors (Dr. Tucker, Dr .Davies & Dr. P. Giambrone) as well. I got bit on the neck, by a not so friendly dog last month, my doctor did her very best to fix me right up so that I wouldn't have any bad infection or nasty scarring. My mommy and daddy we're so worried. Dr. A. Giambrone and her assistant Bryan did a wonderful job helping me to heal. My little sister (Jolene) loves the ladies (Vonn, Bre, Amanda, Lauren, Kelsea & Breanna), and Aaron, in the back. She had to have a little thing done to make her not be so loud and mean (spay). Dr. Davies fixed her right up and now Jolene is as sweet as she could be. Overall, I believe this is the BEST clinic around. Friendly and very helpful front desk ladies! Gentle and loving kennel staff! Efficient and trustworthy vet techs! Compassionate and experienced doctors! I GIVE THEM ALL 5 ????????????????????!

Spoke with a woman named Monya. Was asking for prices regarding my elderly mother's two cats for vaccinations, cleaning, and treatment for ear mites. Not only did she rudely tell me she didn't have any idea how much it would cost for the treatments I inquired about but she also got an attitude when I mentioned another vet quoted an exact price for the exact services (not to mention they are $100 cheaper). She also tried to use scare tactics saying her two cats would be picked up and "taken for forever" when I said they had not had their shots. It's fine if you don't want customers, but if you do, I'd suggest having someone answer your phones that doesn't sound like they're being held against their will and has a little bit of knowledge regarding customer service.

We recently had a put our dog Sandy to sleep. And Dr. G (The female ) could not have been more sweet sitting with me for such a long time. It took longer than usual , and when I told her she could go see her other patients that she didn’t have sit with me , she told me ,” Nothing is more important than this .” Our dog absolutely loved going to the vet. She couldn’t get out of the car fast enough and loved going up the ramp and pushing the door open. I think that says a lot that a dog loves the vet . I love how they constantly are giving them treats, would get on the floor to see my elderly dog instead of making her get on the table every time . The ladies at the front desk when they handed me her remains, treated them with respect and concern not just like a box they treated it as something special which it was . I appreciate everyone there for being so sweet to Sandi and me and especially Dr Alex Giambrone for that last day . and calling me on a Sunday to give me bad results on lab work .

The staff at Hoke Animal Clinic are so caring and compassionate. They provide timely and convenient appointments. Highly recommend!

Boarded our dog here while we were out of town for almost 2 weeks. They treated him like he was their own, the price was reasonable, one of the cheapest around, and our dog almost seemed like he didn't want to leave. They give two walks per day and you can pay like an extra dollar per day for an additional walk per day. And they got him up to date on his rabies shot while he was there. Will definitely use again.

This is a wonderful place to take your fur babies. Everyone there from the front desk, Monya and Angelia, to the techs in the back and the doctors, are absolutely wonderful!! I wouldn't take my fur babies anywhere else!!!

Great employees great doctors hard workers

This veterinarian is happy to take your money, but he doesn't give a damn about the animals under his care. My wife took our black lab into the Hoke Animal Clinic with a fever and bleeding sores. They had difficulty diagnosing him and his condition worsened. He had three visits over a week, and his condition continued to deteriorate. The first visit he was limping somewhat, and had a fever of 104. By the last visit, a week later, he couldn't walk and the vet's employees had to carry him in. $1400 later, they diagnosed him with blastomycosis, a fungal infection. My wife asked if we should take him to Auburn, and they sad no. At no point did they suggest that his condition was dire; had they done so, we would have done virtually anything to save this sweet family pet. This morning we found our dog dead on my bedroom floor. The dog clearly had been in agony, but we were led to believe that his condition would improve after he began his medication. Obviously we wish we had taken him to Auburn, but my wife was told it was unnecessary. This veterinarian may be good at administering vaccinations and clipping toenails, but if your pet has a serious condition, stay the heck away.

Great service and great prices! They all seemed very knowledgeable, were able to answer all my questions. And they were excellent with my dog. Also I have to say, they are to notch with customer service. Thank you Monya, for dealing with me. I would recommend this animal clinic to everyone!!

She is the best of the best

We've been here twice because our primary vet has inconvenient hours for us a few days a week. The first time, both my dogs needed one single vaccine and a nail trim. I arrived on time to the appointment (and was the only one in the waiting room) and had to wait for almost an hour to see the vet. Then they gave my dogs a full workup and multiple vaccines without asking me or telling me and charged me $450. They remedied the bill, but the lack of communication is the issue here. Today, one of my dogs needs minor dental surgery. We made the appointment on Monday and the vet told us when to drop off and pick up. When we arrived today (Wednesday) to drop my dog off for surgery, they had no record of our appointment and also forgot to tell us that my dog shouldn't have eaten that morning. They ended up working it out but we had to wait an extra hour to pick her up. The doctors seem friendly and knowledgeable which is the only reason I give this place ANY stars, but we won't be returning!
