Standifer's Animal Clinic Homewood, Alabama

I called around looking for a vet for a quick check up for my dog. This clinic was very responsive and had me in and out in a timely manner. The cost is reasonable and affordable and the staff was very professional.

Dr. Cooley is the absolute best and treats my dog the same as her fur babies. When my dog unexpectedly fell ill, Standifer’s made time for us when other vet clinics could not. That experience made all the difference and we will always be patients at Standifer’s and Dr. Cooley!

The vet was very thorough and even did a free check of my other fur baby. Also, they are able to get my babies in for boarding with very short notice. Very much appreciated! The staff is very friendly and helpful.

I took my pet on a trip with me and during our trip she became ill. I called several places and they wouldn't answer or left me on hold. I found this place. Angela was so compassionate and took the time to listen to my hysteria and frustration. The doctor was knowledgeable and gentle and knew exactly what my GiA needed. Excellent service and friendly staff.

This is an update to a previous review. I enjoyed meeting Dr. Cooley. She was patient, informative, and kind. She answered all of my questions without rushing and made sure I felt comfortable caring for my kitten. She also seemed to really enjoy the kitten and was gentle with him; she and the staff were even playful and silly with my son. The first few visits here, there was some confusion and misunderstanding and I was very frustrated with not being able to speak to the vet and get my questions answered. This turned out to be a remnant of COVID protocols no longer in force and I understood that, especially when the director of the clinic called me directly to explain why I had not yet been able to speak with the vet. I really appreciate the time taken to explain their policies and how they are-ever changing in the current public health climate.

I asked to have our dog trimmed and his back end cleaned, nails trimmed, and a mat of hair removed from behind his ears. He is a champion breed Minature Australian Shepherd. The groomer SHAVED HIM!!! I am furious. We will NEVER use Standifer’s again. We have been loyal customers for over 15 years and I CANNOT believe what they did to our dog! BEWARE.

Services were thorough. Prices have increased noticeably lately,and it took seven and one half hours to complete a wellness check and vaccinations

The staff at Standifer is always welcoming and great to talk to. They always do a great job with our dog.

I take my poodle to the grooming facility only. TIFFANY is the absolute BEST!!! She is AMAZING!!!
