If you want to be a new client then the waiting time was at least a month. Sad that they're not expandable when it's an emergency.

Dr. Altman is wonderful. She genuinely cares for the animals and is always very thouough. Her staff is also great. They are warm and friendly and have always treated our pup with love and care.

Best vet in Fort Collins. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Altman and her team. They understand we, like most people, view our dogs like family and Animal Haven treats them as such. I always feel like everything is extremely fairly priced, unlike some vets, I never feel like I'm being recommended or encouraged to purchase something my dog doesn't actually need. Ruth is extremely knowledgable and her team always make my dog feel at ease. One example of Animal Haven going above an beyond, was when my dog at part of a grape and at like 10pm on a Friday night I emailed Dr. Altman asking if she thought I should take my dog to an emergency vet and she responded, which she absolutely did not have to do. Also, they use towels on the table which although is a small detail, it really speaks volumes on how much this vet clearly cares about the animals coming in. I've been to vets where they just make the dog stand on a slippery table when they're already terrified. When we had to put down our family dog, Dr. Altman and her team were more than kind and provided my family a dimly lit room and a couch to hold our dog so she could pass comfortably held by loved ones. Overall, I can't say enough good things about this vet. My whole family has been taking our dogs here for years and we are just so happy and impressed with Dr. Altman and her team every time we go.

Dr. Altman was my Basenjis' vet since she bought the clinic. She and her staff have always been very kind and patient with them. Even when my boy, Bear, grumbled when getting his glands cleaned or blood drawn, they just chalked it up to Bear being Bear. I would recommend Dr. Altman to anyone looking for a wonderful vet.

They really care about your animal not just taking your money. Has a county clinic feel that I love.

Very happy with this clinic, the veterinarian and all of the staff. They have set aside an appointment slot during the day for emergency visits and that is so appreciated instead of having to take my pet to urgent care. They were very thorough, answered all of my questions, addressed all of my concerns and the price point was very affordable. My interaction with the staff was very professional and they were all super kind. Since I was unable to go into the clinic with my pet (thanks to Covid), the veterinarian called and reviewed everything with me on the phone. I will go here again and I do recommend this clinic to other pet owners.

The front desk lady was rude. Made us sit outside on the curb for our vet appointment literally... said they had old people that come there. So they practice age discrimination. Then she charged us double what the tech had quoted us for the appointment. This woman is supposed to be the face of your business and this isn’t just an isolated incident with this person, so take it for what it is. I’m not coming back.

Dr. Altman and here staff are the best and most caring. We have been with her for 10 plus years and love how honest and caring she and her team are. Sadly we have been with Dr. Altman through a hospice scenario, but we had the best experience considering the situation. The love this team has for the fur babies and the families is the best.

This is by far the best Vet.clinic I have ever been to! The staff knows me and my fur-babies by name, they are ALWAYS kind and personable, and I would not trust anyone else with my kid-pets. I feel so fortunate to have found them <3 Dr. Ruth has always made time to chat with me even if I am just coming in for a tech. visit. I LOVE THIS PLACE!

I have a senior cat who developed chronic diarrhea and clogged anal glands a year or so ago. Dr Altman worked with her for several months to diagnose the problem, starting with simple inexpensive tests and treatments before finding the true cause of the problem which is an unusual diagnosis in cats. I know Dr. Altman spent hours thinking about my cat and trying to figure out the problem. She also was in frequent communication by email during this time, gave understandable explanations, and made me a true partner in solving the issue. I can't thank her enough for all she has done. The staff at Animal Haven is professional and responsive. I highly recommend Dr. Altman and Animal Haven Vet Clinic.

I am not sure who would have rated Ruth and the Animal Haven clinic and staff as a 1 My husband and I would question their motives. Ruth and her staff took care of our first rescue dog Rocky who had health problems in his later years. They helped make Rocky as healthy and comfortable as they could and were there with us when Rocky went over rainbow bridge. So very compassionate and understanding. Fast forward to last year when we brought home Buddy our new rescue dog who appeared healthy but ended up with heartworm. Again Ruth and her staff got Buddy and my husband and I through many months of treatment. We have a healthy happy dog. We highly recommend Ruth and her team and a big thank you to them

We've been taking our pugs to Dr. Altman since we moved to Fort Collins almost 6 years ago. Dr. Altman and her staff are knowledgeable, compassionate, patient, communicative and accessible. She has diagnosed many medical issues that both my pugs have had. She was able to treat one of my pugs urinary issues when other vets could not. They were so caring and understanding when my oldest pug passed away. My other pug is now a senior and has severe arthritis and muscle loss in her legs. Dr Altman recommended a wonderful physical therapist. I'm so thankful to her because my pug has shown a lot of improvement. I definitely recommend Animal Haven!

The employees and doctors of Animal Haven Veterinary are liars and cons. From the moment I walked in to the clinic, there was bad vibes. Not to mention how overpriced they are. NEVER trust a vet thats based out of a gas station parking lot/ghetto strip mall. This place is a joke.

This is one of the few vet clinics that I refer my patients to, if I am unable to see them myself. That requires a lot of respect and trust for Dr. Altman and her staff. They are excellent and caring.

I have been taking my pets to Animal Haven and Dr. Altman for well over 10 years. They have always provided excellent service and care for all of my cats and dogs. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Dr. Altman always takes time with us to make sure every one of my furkids has what they need to be healthy and fit. The staff and Dr. Altman check in on us after our visits to make sure the kids are still doing well. Wouldn't go anywhere else and have told several others about the excellent care we receive.
