Mayfair Animal Hospital Wauwatosa, Wisconsin

So happy to find this 1st rate emergency vet hospital. Took my dog here as she needed emergency suturing. The vet was thorough in response to all my concerns. I've been recommending them ever since.

They treated my elderly pup with such care and compassion. So glad they were there when we needed them.

They were very nice and did a very good job!

Friendly, open late. My dog was having an episode late at night and I was fearfull that he was choking. I brought him in at this clinic at midnight and they diagnosed him with Kennel cough , prescribed a cough medicine. I was able to return home within the hour and had piece of mind and doggie mess. I was thankful for the convenience which allowed me to sleep that night knowing my best friend was taken care of.

Only thing they will respond but they’re very very poor quality I would never recommend this animal hospital to nobody that’s the reason that many animal hospitals are closing down and people will not be working for them. I had a week old puppy who got hurt bleeding from the neck got bit and they would not even help me stop the bleeding let me take my dog home to dye Thankfully she survived if I had no animal experience she would have died and thankfully I knew what to do I did it on my own without their help This animal hospital once again I would never Even recommend it for the dead there that bad

My boy Jojo (4 year old cat) ate electrical tape over a weekend about a month ago and we never noticed. It was a weekend and ended up taking him to the ER, he did have a full blockage. We found out that Monday that he needed surgery that day but with covid every single place was booked. Finally after hours of calling places I got in touch with Mayfair through a recommendation from another vet. They were the only place willing to do his surgery on short notice. Not only did they save my boys life but the surgery cost ended up being less than their original low estimate. Not only have they earned my trust, but I'll be forever thankful. My boy was well cared for, had zero post surgery complications and I couldn't be happier. Absolutely recommend

Friendly people, redoing entrance, so we couldn't be in with our dog.

My dog needed to have surgery and they were the only clinic/emergency available to get him in that day. Their follow ups were timely and considerate.

It feels weird to give 5 stars for euthanasia, but here we are. My parents dog -very- suddenly took a turn for the worse.... we called and they were able to help him peacefully go on to his forever sleep right away. They were so kind, I cannot thank you enough for being so wonderful while we said goodbye.

When they and all the other emergency vets near us were busy, they made sure to make the time to help us out. They made sure to keep me updated and informed about everything along the way, and they called later to check in and see how my pet was doing. They care, and it shows.

We had an emergency situation with our dog and had a hard time even finding a place that would treat her. At that point, you worry about the quality of the treatment of course because you’re “desperate”. But every step of care at Mayfair Animal Hospital was top notch. The people receiving and returning our dog were kind and good at handling her. The doctor we had communicated with us throughout the process and gave us good advice and did a great job! Everyone was really kind and though I’m not a big fan of remaining in the park I lot, it was it was about as close to a perfect visit as I could have asked for other than that. Super grateful to have found them.

My 4 month old puppy got into the bathroom trash and ate....my sister's tampon. I immediately called Mayfair and they told me it would be best to bring her in right away since that can cause serious complications and costly surgery if left unattended. So off we went. We parked and notified them we had arrived, and they swiftly came to retrieve the puppy. After maybe only 15 - 20 min of waiting, they returned with a tampon-less happy puppy and a bill that was MUCH less than I anticipated. They were so friendly, down to earth and very helpful with this less-than-ideal situation. I highly recommend them for both emergency and routine vet needs.

Terrible. Wouldn’t even diagnose our dog after we told them our dog is acting abnormal and she’s breathing rapidly. We did an X-ray and blood test and still nothing. Just a money grab of a place. They wouldn’t even say what’s wrong.

awful. charged us $395 for 10 ml od Adaquan. it's available online for $150. Service is bad. Spent 15 minutes on hold. etc.

I used to love this place. Now they WILL NOT SEE YOUR PET UNLESS THEY ARE DYING IN YOUR CAR. Being informed of this after you drive 45 minutes in rush hour traffic with a pet that is sick and in pain is absolutely not acceptable!! PLEASE update your phone recording to tell people not to bother coming if they can't be seen. People need to get help fast and your phone recording makes it seem like they will be able to be seen (in order of importance like always) but still seen. It is devastating and dangerous being turned away when expecting help. Update your phone recording!!

Excellent emergency room care for my dog. Long wait but worth it for the proper diagnosis I received tonight. I highly recommend them for my emergency care and they have regular appointments as well

Told me they would no longer refill my prescription without seeing my dog for bloodwork. This is allergy medication he has been on his whole life and never had an issue with. I’m not sure why they have taken it upon themselves to interfere with my dogs health but I would rather a veterinarian that listens to me about my dog. It feels like a money grubbing move rather than genuine care or concern for my animal.

Horrible experience. Was sent here as a referral. Kitty can not stand or walk,, very drunk acting. Call them up and they told us we HAD TO get my cat in right a way with what was described because of *insert scary medical term I can not remember*. We drive a half hour and get her in right away. Sit here for 30 minutes and get a call telling us that they have to send us someplace else because their one vet is too busy. Disgraceful.

They were great with our cat. Quick, professional, and friendly. They answered all of my questions and provided great care.

Went in @ 3pm. Of course due to Covid-19 restrictions. I’m order to enter. They ask that you wait in the car. Waited in car for over an hour and was told they’re short staffed and I should try Glendale or Waukesha. Decided I’d wait because I’m literally 10mins away. Well it’s now 7:30pm and I’m still being told they aren’t taking any animals. Because they’re short staffed and have their capacity of animals. What’s the purpose of being 24hrs if your unable to service animals in need. During those 24hrs I’m sincerely disappointed.

They have split the hospital into an ER and a clinic. There is a little confusion with the staff right now but still very helpful, if you stay patient. Will continue to use for our pups even though it's out of our neighborhood.

Had to take my Lab in on a Sunday morning for a sever allergic reaction. They all took such great care of her and got her feeling back to normal within a few days. You could hear the compassion in their voices and totally tell they all LOVE what they do. It was a great experience! The prices were extremely fair. And I really liked the extra little note the Dr. put on the discharge papers for my dog to get well soon.

Have taken my dog several times for walk-in appointments, and have only experienced great care! Staff are friendly and the vets I've worked with explain everything well. Vets also do follow-up phone calls to check in with your pet.

I do wish I could go in with my pet. Communicating with a vet over the phone is difficult.

We took our 2 yr old shih tsu pup to Mayfair animal hospital on Friday after being told at another emergency clinic it would be a 4 hour wait. She was taken in to the clinic and seen within 15 minutes of our arrival. The staff called to let us know exact pricing, hiw she was doing, and the test results within 30 minutes after she was taken in. Mayfair was $50 cheaper for the office visit and only ran the necessary tests. We had our pup back within an hour and were given directions for care and medication with instructions. I would recommend this animal hospital for any and all veterinary needs.

Our 9 week old Beagle puppy had a scratching problem we took her to the emergency clinic got there at 7 :15 in the morning and they able to see her by 7:50. Dr Conlin checked her out gave us a treament plan and was very informative on what other shots that our puppy would need. Defenantly will be going back.
