I highly recommend this place to everyone. They’re our regular vet for our two tabby’s. One of our cats got very ill and not only did they help but checked back with us multiple times. The new vet is awesome! Appreciate this place for being my cat back to life

Brought my cat in last year to the Cat Doctor because he had stomach issues that required a special diet. I come to find out that the diet food that I always ordered from Chewy is now being declined by the vet because they wanted me to bring my cat in for a checkup. I can only get his food by vet approval, so I now have to worry about finding a new vet to work with and get the food my cat needs. The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars is because the lady at the front desk was nice enough to sell me his food to get him by, but now they are restricting my cat of his diet because they want their annual check-up money first. It makes me very sad that they would do that to a cat that needs a special diet. I know times are tough for businesses and they want their money, but times are also tough for my cat who needs his special food. I will get him in for a checkup somewhere, but that shouldn't stand in the way of him being able to eat.

Called to ask questions about my new cat and was basically verbally scolded and called “in humane”. Any place that doesn’t treat animal owners with same if not more respect than the animals will never get my business.

The vet is the absolute worse, really rough with our cat and void of feelings, The rest of the staff is incompetent and extremely unorganized. Calling our cat a he instead of she while we were there to put our cat down due to late stage mammary cancer and cheerfully asking how the cat is doing. They either don't keep records or don't read your record before checking you in. Absolute worse vet experience I have ever had. Do not take your cat here!

The Cat Doctor is the best! We have been with the Cat Doctor for years with many cats and many different situations that they have always help us. Our Fritz had crystals, we were afraid we would lose him. Thanks to the care he received from the Cat Doctor he is healthy and happy. So are we! The greatest caring, friendly and knowledgeable Vets and Staff. Ask a question and they will have the answer. Highly recommend them!

My grandkitty loves to go to what he calls his "beauty parlor". He always comes back handsome and happy.

I have been coming here for about 3 years now and the service is getting worse and worse. After the first incidence of her coming home bleeding after they chopped off her nipple and stated “it’s like a skinned knee”. Now today they don’t offer any type of grace period or sympathy for clients. I will not be returning to this facility don’t put your pet and time in danger!

I've been taking my cats to this place of over 20 years. I've gone through several cats and they were all superbly cared for by Dr. Christensen and her staff. I've always felt that her treatment approach was very conservative and reasonable.

Writing this under an anonymous account. I really wanted to like this place. They are trying to charge me for my own vet records and seem pretty disorganized. I also am not getting a good feeling from the few appointments I've had. Sort of like my pets are objects. I hope you'll have a different experience if you choose to go.

Dr Christensen is a very knowledgeable and compassionate veterinarian. She always goes above and beyond for our cats and is by far, the best vet we have ever been to.

Very high priced! Nice environment and friendly staff, but to add $100 on top of a $70 visit oh no!

I can't say enough about the cat doctor. I am disabled veteran on a very fixed income. My cat Beckham got sick and they saved his life. He is a emotional support animal for me. I have PTSD and Bipolar disorder. He is sick but the cat doctor crew kept him gave him fluids overnight. He does have kidney disease, but the cat doctor gave him a second chance. The Cat Doctor worked with me on the bill, by helping me with a special fund. THE ANGEL FUND. THANK YOU SO MUCH CAT DOCTOR. GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU. MONYA NELSON US NAVY DISABLED VETERAN

I was a customer from the first moment I had my own kitties! Dr. C is a wonderful vet, and she chooses great staff to surround herself with. We just moved back to the area, and it feels great to be able to say with confidence we have a good vet to rely on again!

If I could leave less stars I would. I have brought my 2 guys here for a year or so - everything fine and liked the vet. I brought my ten year old in for dental last week and he died during the procedure. I understand this is a rare complication ( 1 in 1000) and do no think there was anything done incorrectly HOWEVER. WE never received a call. We called to see when we could pick him up and they told us he was dead. Pretty brusquely, NO apologies and a bill for his cremation. I half expected and waited for a sorry for your loss card, which I've received when I had to put down a previous buddy. Nothing. They could not have handled it with less sympathy if they tried.

I called, concerned about my cat, and was told I could bring her down in the morning. Dr. Christensen found time to see my cat -- in between all of her regularly scheduled appts. That is basically unheard of in veterinary offices. My last vet would schedule 1 month out, and usually cancel/reschedule the appt. TCD actually cares about pets.

My wife and I have been taking our two cats in to The Cat Doctor for over a year now and we've been very satisfied with the service we and our little guys have received. Of course the care our cats have received has kept them in tip top shape but additionally, we've felt respected, informed, and have never felt like we're being upsold on unnecessary treatments or products. We would recommend The Cat Doctor to anyone looking for a new vet for their precious felines.

Our 13 year old Betty has always been a brat when she is at the vet, growling and hissing before she is out of her carrier. The staff and doctor take it in stride, and are willing to sedate her for the exam. Professional, caring, and they don’t look for opportunities to add to the bill. When an expensive specialist was unable to cure her, Dr.. Christensen treated her and I’m sure added to her life. Definitely recommend.

To keep it simple, this veterinary is more interested in business transactions and making money than the care of cats or their owners. Details: Rupert had a blockage that caused him to throw up- something that would require routine procedures (per dr). If it could come out naturally with the help of barium- our cost was quoted at around $250. If surgery was needed to remove the obstruction, we would be looking at $700 total. We appreciated what seemed a conservative and wholistic first attempt. Odd that they wanted to keep him overnight for something that required relief via a bowel movement, considering stress and anxiety can make it hard for any animal (or person) to go regularly. After the second dose of barium, it seemed like surgery may be inevitable- the Dr informing us that they would keep him for 4 days (although it was state how routine and non-invasive the surgery was). Second dose of barium seemed to do the trick; the object moved to the colon and he should be able to pass it on his own, we were given a time to pick up the following day. Where does the problem lie? Our total bill was $872.21- a complete shock at check out considering we did not need surgery- where on earth did the extra $622.21 come from? Without our knowledge, or permission- or even the consideration to inform us over the phone- we later found out that there were 2 x-rays done every hour for 5 hours. We received 3 phone calls about the moment, there was mention of “an x-ray taken” twice. Our assumption was that there were two x-rays- maybe three- not 10. Reception was less than friendly and didn’t really want to help us. We called back to get a break down of what appeared to be a mistake and were rudely dismissed again. When we finally got a hold of the doctor (via phone the next day) she could have cared less, telling us we are “lucky” to not have spent $1600, going on to try and sell us a bunch of food she originally said wasn’t necessary. Yes- the office will highlight the fact that they will perform any procedure they deem necessary. Should be reassuring right? That our boy should be in good hands. But why not communicate those additional x-rays to us when you make the phone call? Is there something you’re trying to hide? Why not ask and have a conversation if it’s something we want to do. Instead of caring for the well being of their patient, it comes of as a completely impatient and quick attempt to rack up the cost- considering we were sent home with the object still in his colon and he had issues passing the days before his visit. Here is where our biggest problem lies and the reason for this lengthy negative review. The first thing that Dr. Christensen said to us when she met us in the examine room was “Well- I am out a lot of money, good for you bad for me”. No “hello”, “how are you” anything- not even recognizing that the avoidance of surgery was positive for everyone involved. That was the extent of what she had to share with us-no information on recovery time or anything about his condition. I asked a simple question and was brushed off by the doctor that definitely had better things to do. Maybe she had a long day- but we weren’t allowed to come earlier to pick him up and she even offered to stay late. Result: I called another vet, who confirmed my suspicions and reassured me that not only was the cost ridiculous, but keeping him over night was completely unnecessary and created more stress for him, making it even harder for him to have a bm. He gave us great consultation over the phone and genuinely asked and has checked in about Rupert’s well being. Day 4 since we’ve picked him up from the Cat Doctor and nothing. I guess it is good that two young people, faced with financial hardships during this economic climate, were able to fork over so much money without any results. We are happy that we were able to support a local company during these hard times, despite not getting the same support from them.

I left my previous vet due to my vets hours dwindling (and growing signs of incompetence) for the cat dr. My kitty was elderly and sick with a thick file. I never once felt as if I was being sold things I did not need. I ask a lot of questions and got plenty of options and details from dr c. As a mommy of a very sick kitty, I loved the cat dr and all the staff. I did everything I could think of to help my sick girl, and dr c and staff were ready to help me and my fur baby. The cat dr staff, clinic and dr c have always been great to work with. I have never felt neglected or slighted one bit, and I am definitely a person who can easily feel that way. A great place I was proud to take my kitty to, and I thank them deeply for their help and compassion with my kitty at the end. I can't imagine going anywhere else. Yes, I have to park across the street at times...so what. I need a competent and smart vet, not a clown to entertain me, and dr c is exactly that. I don't really understand some of these negative posts. Not at all my experience and I have taken my baby there for years. My future babies will also go there! :)
