Servkice was good, though most staff was st the register and not availableto help with questions. Not that we had any on this trip. The enclosure for the puppies was upgraded and the dogs appeared healthy and well cared for. No kittens on this trip

I've adopted two animals from these places, and they're always happy to hear how they're doing, which makes me really happy as well. 11/10

Dirty cages ???? a bit on the expensive side. Please adopt thru the local shelter. $500 for a domestic short-haired cat.

I’ve never seen fish that are so poorly cared for. Each tank had several dead and dying fish. I made a comment about some of the clearly noticeable illnesses (ich, fin rot) to my shopping companion, and the store employee (who was previously just standing around talking with another employee) came over and said how rude it was to point out dead fish because they can’t do anything about it because they’re short staffed. I’m well aware the country is struggling with labor shortages, but if you have the time to walk over to criticize customers and accuse them of being rude, then I think you have your priorities wrong.

Staff was great and the selection of items for cats and dogs was nice... but we were so very disappointed when we went into the reptile area... they now have less than half of the selection on animals compared to previously.

Great experience, great people. I'm now a customer.

Purchased a pet from here - they utilize local breeders and were awesome throughout the whole process.

My go to for feeder fish and information the lady who works there should charge me I ask her so many fish questions she always helps me with a smile the other staff who don't know answers dont pretend to know they find her or say she is off sorry kids love to come and see the fur babies

Animals are well taken care of. Staff is super friendly and they offer almost anything you'd need to have an animal.

My girlfriend recently adopted a kitten from this pet store, it came home from the store with an upper respiratory infection, infecting my other cats, which I now have to pay for exams and medications for, and they called her to bring her kitten in to be treated for ringworm. Another disease my other cats are susceptible to that they are going to force us to pay for exams and medications for. In my opinion they should not be giving out sick animals. I will not be buying another pet from this store. I will not be recommending to anyone to buy a pet from here. They obviously sent out an entire litter that was sick and do not want to be held responsible for the costs of all of these kittens. This whole process is just a racket. I will not be calling or dealing with this place again as this is really bad business. U would not have to call people to let them know about ringworm and other diseases if you did your job correctly. And then you tell her her claims are false? Your company is the worst and I will be contacting the better business bureau and the local humane societies to let them know about my experience with this company.

The place seems chronically understaffed.

I only buy my bird supplies here, because Animart is the only store in Madison that I know of that carries the full line of Zupreem food for my parakeets!

Used walk in vaccination clinic. Super fast and all the employees were amazing, caring and understanding! Will use again

Not a fan of their fish department. All the tanks are usually dirty and the fish are more expensive than most places but on the plus side they have the food that my goldfish like

Make sure you confirm price of available dogs. Was told one price on the phone and when we arrived it was $800 more then quoted

Great local store, prices are fair considering their direct competition is the corporate Juggernaut PetSmart. I shop here primarily for the aquatic section, it's not huge, but it has what I need usually.

Clean, well organized, clear signage

Good service; regular customer for a specific dog food for my Frenchie. A decent selection but could be better. Prices seem a little above average.

I've been there twice in the past week and left early both times due to folks wondering around without masks. The first time, even the cashiers didn't have masks on their faces.

Very friendly staff, and very knowledgeable as well.

Decent selection of pet food and toys. And love that they will take A bag of food back if it doesn’t work out. Love that they support animal rescues too! But I’d still chat with a vet and not go off the suggestions of the store since they want to sell the products and may not know how it works for your animal as much as they say.

This place is the worst place to get a pet. I bought a puppy from here. They told me it was a female. When I picked it up, I could feel the waterworks and it was a male. I told them it was a male and all they said was "oh." I got the paperwork and it stated that he had his kennel cough vaccination. Within one day of bringing him home, he was violently hacking. We took him to the vet and he had kennel cough. We got the meds for him. Within a few days our other dog and our cat also had kennel cough, which cost us more money. After several back and forth emails, and me posting on Facebook, they agreed to pay for the puppy's vet bill. Never again. I was grieving the loss of my heart dog who had passed a month earlier and I made a decision with my heart and not my head. I totally believe in adopt and not shop. I love him, and we did adopt a rescue less than a month later.

The selling of dogs just does not sit well with me. Also the place is very stinky. Smells like it is not cleaned very well.

Very helpful,some new workers- be patient. Accommodating, had to wait for Emergency road service,let me wait after closing,while they cleaned.
