K9-Playtime Hudson, Wisconsin

We have been bringing our dogs to K9 Playtime for the last handful of years. They are SO gracious with our dogs, and take the best care of them. They work with us in a timely manner, and are very responsive. I have never dealt with a more responsible dog boarding facility who strives to do whatever they can to give you more peace of mine with your dogs! Will always, always recommend!

I have been bringing my dog here weekdays for more than a year. He is so excited in the morning and equally as happy in evening when I pick him up. And best part he's asleep within 5 minutes on the way home. We've always had great experience with K9 Playtime. Thanks!

We brought our pups for their first half day on a Saturday. I brought them in and handed them over telling the front desk that I would be back at 11 to pick them up. Got there at 11:04 and the entire facility was locked up. I could hear the dogs barking in the back, but no one was around. I tried calling and emailing with no response. I was finally able to reach them via FB messenger. They informed me the dogs were boarded at 11 sharp and that they do not wait around. The hours were posted and we should have known. After speaking with someone on the phone, they finally were able to come to the facility at 12pm to get the dogs. They could have at least called us, being it was our first day, and let us know that they were being boarded. I understand we were a few minutes late, but come on. Needless to say, we will not being going back purely because of the way the staff responded to us.

They treat our dog exactly as we would, with love and care. The staff here is just awesome.

On our first day we decided to do a half day from 8-11am. What no one told us was that there is a hard cut off at 11am. So I showed up at 11:05am. The doors were locked, and no one was inside. Except all of the dogs barking loudly for the next hour as we frantically tried to get in touch with the business to get our dogs out. Our dogs are not used to kennels or boarding. We didn’t even receive a call or anything. Again, this was our first day and we had no warnings at all. I have been to 5 daycares across the metro area, this policy/process is unheard of. I think its somewhat inhumane honestly. I wonder what other things happen there if they think it’s okay to leave all of the dogs unattended for 4 hours in the middle of the day. If I wanted to lock my dog in a room all day, I would just keep it home. To top it off, they were Unbelievably unprofessional when we gave them our feedback, seemingly did not care to keep our business. Worst experience I’ve ever had with any business period.

I love the staff and atmosphere of this wonderful place for my pup. Everyone is friendly and knows how to take care of all the dogs that come in. Check in and reservations are easily managed through a portal where the staff is also receptive to messages. My dog is always so excited to go back!!

We scheduled grooming appointment about a week in advance. Also inquired about services. Not only did they not bother getting back to us, they sent an email 1 hour before our appointment canceling, saying they didn’t have time. Very unprofessional and definitely would not recommend!

Friendly staff and our girls always come home tired out from playing!

We would recommend K9 Playtime to all. Our German Shepard loves going the. The employees get to know her. Great place!!!

Nice place, they tend to overbook frequently, which can result in dogs playing too rough or fights breaking out. Response to owner: instead of the owner asking for more details to better understand the situation, they immediately went on the defense. I initially gave them a three star review and they could not handle criticism. Not a good sign, hope they can learn the importance of civility, sad!

We've used K9 Playtime for mostly boarding over the years. Even after moving across the border to MN, they're still our go-to and we're willing to make the extra trek to get the quality care they provide. They are very responsive to requests/inquiries, very professional, and always greet Lucy with excitement!

The staff is great and our dogs love their time at K9-Playtime! The dogs get to play and come home tired and happy ????

I've been taking my puppy Theo here for the past month or so... we both absolutely love it! All the dogs there are very well attended to and cared for throughout the day. When I come to pick him up he is always very tired and often falls asleep in the car within 5 minutes of us leaving! I highly recommend you and your pup give them a try.

Our King Charles spaniel loves coming here. The moment we get close to the building his tail is wagging in excitement. He goes in happy and comes out happy. Glad he gets to socialize with other dogs his size!

Great place for the puppy to blow off energy! Great staff too!

First day there but went way better than another place we have been bringing our dog to. Staff was really friendly and made me want to return again.

My pup loves coming here! I'm pretty sure she loves the full time female staff member more than she loves me hahah. Great doggy daycare :)

Amazing people and great staff. We take our dog there a couple of times a month but, everytime we walk in they know my dog and treat us as though we are there every day! I tell all of my friends that are looking for a place to take their dog to while they are busy to go here!

K9 playtime boarding is by far the best boarder I’ve used. I used another last year and my pup needed anxiety meds, was puking and had diarrhea. But he’s had no problems here. They got so much one in one time it made all the difference ❤️ They even got them their dog food when they ran out. I wouldn’t bring my dogs anywhere else but here!

Extremely disappointing that K9's response to our dog being severely bitten and needing emergency surgery after a dog attacked her. Our dog is a gentle giant. She has never shown any signs of aggression to any dog, human or even squirrel. Our dog has been to four different doggy daycare facilities and has never had any problems. She goes to dog parks all the time and has never had any issues. She is very submissive and if dogs snarl at her she steps away. Their response seems like a cliche, scripted response that they say to cover themselves. Nothing in the voicemail I received about the incident or talking with the staff in person indicated that Quinn started any trouble. So this response from them is the first I am hearing about any "aggression" from my dog. Also, would have been nice to receive a courtesy follow up from the dog owner. If my dog attacked another dog, I would be a responsible and considerate dog owner and follow up to see if they were okay. Just my opinion... this is K9's response: "Unfortunately this incident could have been avoided had you disclosed that Quinn had been displaying signs of aggression preceding this incident, as she would not have been allowed to participate in group play. "

We used to enjoy taking our pup to K9-Playtime until another dog bit a part of our dogs ear off. We had to leave work early and rush her to the vet ourselves and pay for a $600 vet bill. Two weeks later we are still dealing with sad pup and her ear breaking open. After speaking with other boarding kennels they pay for the vet bill as well as rush them in. The staff however was great; they did all they could to stop the bleeding and give us advice - it is no way their fault K9-Playtime has these policies in place. Response to owner: our dog has not been showing signs of aggression. She is a large Great Dane, other dogs get threatened by her size and try to bite her - how is that her fault or can be prevented? A dogs attitude is not determined by its size. We were told by your staff that another dog was at fault, was that a lie?

They know our dog's name each time we come in and he is always excited to get there. They also let us know how he was while he was there, so we know what his behavior was like and what we need to work on. Highly recommended.

Both of my dogs have had good haircuts and staff if friendly. The groomers listen to what you want done and do a great job.

Grooming was good, but my dog now has kennel cough from this facility. It was reported the dog he was with at grooming was sick.

Great place to bring your dog. Clean, great staff. Our puppy absolutely loves being able to play with the other dogs when there. Peace of mind when you don't want to leave them home alone for an extended period of time.

Our dog gets lots of much needed exercise and the people are nice.
