Our dog absolutely loved it at Happy Hounds Lodge. We could see how much fun she was having as we drove up the drive way to pick her up. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is the perfect place to board your dog!

This place is awesome! They take great care of my dogs. 100% recommended. It’s worth the 15-20 min drive out to round hill. The puppies always come home happy and exhausted!

We brought our dog here for a weekend to allow us to travel out-of-state. The location is set in the back-roads of Round Hill, down a dirt road off Route 7. Without a doubt, this is the best kennel I've ever seen. There is a large house and even larger parcel of property that is divided into sections with fencing. The owners and staff understand how dogs interact socially, and encourage a healthy and happy pack dynamic. We will definitely be bringing our dog back for future visits.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Happys Hounds! A place where our dog loves. Every time they come to pick her up she is wagging her tail like crazy because she knows where she is going! I love that she gets to run around with other dogs and it isn't kennel style. Wonderful staff who love dogs!

Our dog had a great time. Many various-sized fenced areas and a big field to run in. Indoor accommodations are nice and clean and the dogs all get along - saw no snarls at all.

My dog loves this place so much she tries to rip her way out of the car. The playing fields and so many other dogs leave her so exhausted that when she comes home all she does is sleep for a couple of days. It's inexpensive, especially compared to the DC-area dogsitters, and the staff are both professional and compassionate. They love dogs. Dogs love them. 'Nuff said.

We love this place! We drive over 2 hours round trip to take our four legged kids to HHL. They take great care of the boys. The boys can't wait to get out of the car to go play with their friends and are sometimes reluctant to go home. The people who work there are friendly and very responsive.

Love leaving my pup here! Sometimes we need an overnight or an extended stay. There is so much room for him to run with lots of friends. Definetly recommend to anyone living in the DMV to check it out!

My buddy has been going to Happy Hounds for 8 years and LOVES it! Totally forgets about me when I drop him off...it truly is his second home. I have always been impressed with the grounds, home and staff. Clean, organized, flexible and professional. He comes home happy and tired...worth the extra hour it takes to drop him off when I travel:)

Today I am driving more than an hour to drop off my two dogs. Happy Hounds Lodge is the only place I'll drop off my dogs and KNOW that they cared for as I would care for them. The people are GREAT and very knowledgeable. LOVE.

Fantastic boarding experience. I'm use to the traditional boarding experience of a crate/kennel or run, but didn't want that when I had to board my 2 puppies for a week while house renovations were going on. This place is great if you want to really let your dogs have a vacation. The owner made sure she understood my dogs and any concerns I had. The dogs are separated by size and age (i.e. puppies stay together, old dogs stay together, big dogs in one area, small dogs in another,e tc.). The big dogs get 5 acres of a wooded area to play and run. The puppies and smaller dogs get the front area, which is very large with a tiered lawn, trees, flowers, patio, chairs, etc. It is a great setup. My dogs LOVED it there and were happy and tired when they came home. The other wonderful thing about Happy Hounds is that they post photos on Facebook everyday of the dogs, so you can see how your dog(s) are doing. We got to see some great photos, which especially helps kids if they're missing their dogs. Finally, the owner and the people that work there are wonderful, friendly and warm. I would highly recommend this place and plan to use it again next time we need to board our dogs.

I cannot express how thrilled I am to have discovered Happy Hounds Lodge! My dogs absolutely adore their stays there, and I always feel like I am taking them to the best doggie vacation destination when I drop them off. They come home so incredibly happy (and tired!) As a veterinarian, I am very picky about who takes care of my pets when I go away, and I completely trust the folks at Happy Hounds Lodge with the well being of my dogs.

I visited HH before we scheduled our vacation. I was really impressed by how calm the dogs where when I arrived. There were separate areas for puppies and dogs with mobility issues, areas for more boisterous dogs and areas for shy dogs. They even have a plan for dogs with limited vision. HH administered our dog's ear and eye ointment without extra charges and most importantly my dog got to go in and out of the house freely. When I picked him up after our 21 day vacation he was in great shape. I would recommend HH to anyone.
