Very helpful with my mom and her pet

Absolutely love Dr. Hansen! My family has been seeing her for all vet care before her time at Radford. Super nice staff and very caring. Though vet care is expensive, they never run tests or do things that aren't necessary or that you can't afford. Currently, we rescued a puppy and are on their puppy plan. Great option to save money and be able to pay monthly!

We took our aging cat, Nora to be seen. She was in poor health and the prognosis wasn't good. In order to keep her from suffering, we had her put to sleep. The following week, we received an extremely nice card from the Radford Animal Hospital. I felt this was an above and beyond example of caring. Yesterday, we received yet another card from the Radford Animal Hospital. This card was to let us know that a donation was given to the Arbor Day Foundation in our cat's name. My wife and I were very touched by this gesture. It's just one more example of what a kind, considerate and caring place this is. Thank you very much.

I had recently moved to the area and needed a new vet, and Dr. Claffey was highly recommended to me. I am very picky about who handles my babies, so I always do a ton of research on the vets beforehand. I brought my dog to get a nail trim, vaccines, and get a general feel of the place. Firstly, being able to text the receptionist/front desk is a godsend. They were so friendly and knowledgeable, even in just writing. I was able to get an appointment very quickly, and had the option to fill out paperwork beforehand, again a huge plus for busy folks. Dr. Claffey performed an excellent and very thorough exam of my dog, trimmed his nails, and gave him his shots. He made sure to explain all the details of the checkup, and pointed me in the right direction for a couple small issues. I was very pleased. So much so that I immediately texted to get an appointment for the same dog when he became ill a week later. Not to mention that the Dr. took the time to call me personally to see how my little guy was doing. The office is very clean and inviting. You don’t feel below, or less-than anyone; it’s a very comfortable atmosphere. I have 3 other animals, and they will all be visiting Dr. Claffey and his amazing team!

This animal hospital is a wonderful new addition to the Radford area and the New River Valley. Dr Dan Chaffey and his associates and staff do excellent job. They are both extremely qualified and compassionate. I strongly recommend this hospital for your pets.

I have had my cat at another vet 6 times for the same issue. I finally decided to take her to Radford Animal Hospital and they immediately realized there was something else going on. They are such an awesome group of people and always take the time to answer my questions and give me advise. Christopher has helped me so much from advising me about care credit to help with the cost of the tests she needed, all the way down to how to get her to eat better. I am so glad I found them! I will be switching me other cat to their services as well. They are very caring people and really make you feel heard. I would recommend anyone to them!

The best in the area! The staff and vets have always cared for me and me cat very well. They take time with the pet (and fur parents) to give comprehensive care and explanations. I have always felt that they sought to get to know me and pet so they could provide the best care

I have never been there

Today I picked up pill pockets for our cat TWOIE. Pill pockets are tasty morsels of food to enclose pills i so the cat will gobble it up. They seem expensive at $10 per pouch. Maybe I should just use food for that.

I absolutely love Radford Animal Hospital!!! I have had my puppy Lucy groomed there since she was brought home and I absolutely love the work Lucy the groomer does on her!! All the staff are super friendly and I absolutely love it there!!!! Great job!!!!!! Highly recommend!!!!!!:););) Christopher is one of the sweetest men there!!!!

Dr. Hansen and all of the people here have been some of the kindest, most caring group of people. They truly care about the animals they treat and will answer any and all questions. I just brought my cat in twice due to an emergency and they were quick to respond to my calls and treat her.

The staff and doctors are the best. Been taking my cats here for years and they are always super friendly and helpful.

The staff always makes an effort to fit my pup in and they treat her as if she was their own. They are attentive and follow-up medical visits with calls to monitor her condition. I am very comfortable taking my pet to them.

Another great experience of having my kitties taken care of! Have been coming here since Dr. Call owned the business a few decades ago.
